is your dog tactical in a way, like a velcro on its belly with extra ammos or grenades ?
Damn, you are set! I've got a lot of the same gear you showed. Same stuff in my truck, just not even close to as much. Too funny. I kept saying..."I've got that...and that too." I'm a truck fella, so I really dig your pickup and the color with the wheels. I don't have nearly the amount of gear you do! Huge flashlight nut also. Recently picked up the Olight S10R Baton II. Love those lights. What a killer setup! Continuing to enjoy your updates. Glad the dogs make it in the videos. Keep up the good work brother.
Suggestion: I've always had the window rain guards/visors. You can crack the windows when it rains etc...I'm sure you know what I'm talking about. Maybe mud flaps considering your location? Those are reasonably priced upgrades, so I thought I'd mention that. Looking forward to the truck bed gear!
Nice job. Your truck is probably the best organized truck that I have ever seem. I know a few guys with trucks and none come close to yours.
My one suggestion would be a pair of binoculars or some other optics
I have had a pair of binoculars in my centre console for ages, and they get used all the time. Everyone should do it; once they're in there, you'd be amazed at how much you use them.
All the people in the comments crying about you being a hoarder are the people who will be asking if they can borrow jumpers or a light 😂😂
Love that your videos are unpretentious. Who cares that the floor mats are dirty, you're the only one driving it! I like the idea of using velcro to adhere your med kits in a place they are quick and easy to access. Thanks for the video.
Beautiful Taco. I love that your interior is dirty. It shows that you actually use your truck even though its brand new. Im buying the same color and model sometime soon as well.
You can use your truck, and keep it clean. My OCD is driving me nuts with how dirty his truck is.
WhiteTheWolf2 I hear u it's called not being a lazy dirtbag I work 12 hour shifts throwing tires I still keep my shit clean
Seeing this vid after seeing the more up to date vids and you've come a long way with storage and organization. Inspired a lot of how I stow things in my rig too. Thanks for showing us your setups.
Great EDC!! I wish my FJ Cruiser had better storage capacity. Keep up the great videos.
Good to see you here and nice to see we are in the Toyota family. I bought a 2016 Tundra last october. Want to get a topper. Needed the 8' long bed double cab for my business plus it is nice when we go camping.
lol that huge compared to my 02 rav4... i wished i had waited a bit longer and gotten something a bit bigger but i paid full in cash and it treats me good
Thanks for the video!! I'm always curious to see what and how people are packing up their trucks/cars. Gave me some great ideas.
I don't see how some people think that this is cluttered. Everything is (roughly) organized and tucked away. It's not like you have everything sitting in the passenger footwell in a giant pile. Your storage compartments are full like they should be
Yeah, I agree - but people sure make me feel like I'm some kind of hoarder freak, haha.
A dirty truck just means you've been using it properly! Glad to see she ain't a garage queen
Dirt 117 occasionally driving through a few puddles once in a while doesn’t really count bud
It also means the vehicle is filthy and neglected. Very easy to maintain a clean vehicle. Psh, unreal!
I love full vehicle EDC videos. Thanks for being detailed! Lots of good ideas in here
Yeah, they're fun to watch and get new ideas. Like EDC videos, but better! Haha.
Sweet rig! Loaded out nicely. Thought I had mine prepared but now I see a few things I've got to add. Btw the pups lookin great!
My Dodge Ram has the storage bins in the back like you put in, but from the factory. Use them to keep all sorts of things in like med kits (single cab so it's right behind me), mags, and tools. Very good idea.
Yes, Sir ... maybe too clutterly for some folks. However, since it is YOUR truck, dress it any way that you want to.
I like your down-to-earth manner of presentation, for this video. Great job for your hard work presented, dissenter(s) notwithstanding.
Please keep them coming, and thank you.
Smart move on paying it off first. Clean truck!
Dirt 117 you say that but then you probably also pay top dollar for what you’re buying anyway
Nice video, and nice truck. It is not so much an issue with a new truck, but I keep an extra serpentine belt for my vehicle. Nothing works without the belt.
Love that you use the truck as a truck. A little dirt never hurts anything. Man I thought I had my truck loaded LOL. I have maybe 10% of the gear you got but now I've got some great ideas.Only thing you need now is a dash cam
Nice setup... I started working on my truck. Recently bought Coverking Ballistic seat covers that have the mollie system on them. Drivers rear seat has the first aid packs and a Fox Rescue knife.
William Pizzi how are those holding up? I like the look and functionality, but haven't really seen any long term reviews.
They are holding up really well at this point. They show no wear with daily use or having the dogs in and out of the truck.
William Pizzi Good to know, I like the ones with MOLLE webbing on the back, looks like a great way to organize stuff
I have a love hate relationship with your videos, bc I almost always end up buying something that you show. But really keep up the good work man.
awesome video man. Your narration is awesome. Thanks for the ideas!!
Awesome set up! Nice to see another prepper, I have so much stuff in my car people think I'm nuts. One thing tho, about your get home bag. I used to have a full military bag as well until I saw a video on "urban survival". The vid talked about crisis situations and how, when people are panicked and trying to get home, you don't want to stand out in a crowd. The military packs scream "I've got nice stuff here!" and thieves may target you because they know your prepared and likely have what they need/want. I switched over to a simple yet durable hiking pack with a hidden waist strap for long distances, it holds everything just as well but doesn't scream tactical. Just something to think about. Love the vid and the new Tacoma is gonna be my next truck.
Thanks man! Yeah, I've done a lot of research and theorizing about the whole gray man theory, and I definitely agree with the concept as a whole. However, I personally believe that in a crisis scenario, a camouflage backpack wouldn't make you a target, for a couple reasons.
- Camo is mainstream these days, hipsters, soccer moms, etc - they all wear camo, and nobody even thinks about it. You go to the mall and you can get a camo backpack from any store in there. It's a really great time to be into camo, and still retain the whole gray man thing.
- In the immediate couple hours after a crisis, there isn't going to be enough organization in criminals to try and pick out the 'better equipped' targets - potentially this would be a worry days or weeks after some crisis event. During this immediate period (and any normal period of time) a criminal chooses a victim that looks weak, unconfident, and is lacking situational awareness - there has been a lot of research done to help identify what makes people a 'victim' to crime. I (and I hope any other survivalist/prepper) is in essence, a hardened target, not a soft easy target - and if anything, the military style backpack will aid in representing a hardened target - thus actually doing more to make you *not a victim.
Now those are just my personal thoughts, and I know this is a huge area of debate. I certainly don't think that going with a 'non-tactical' bag is bad - I think that's great. I just don't think a tactical looking bag would make you a target. Being a backpacker, I think a lot of 'normal' backpacker backpacks are excellent. Especially depending on how heavy your load is, a properly fitted pack that puts the majority of that weight on your hips will help you walk much further, much easier!
Tacoma is great, I can highly recommend it if you need a truck, but don't need a huge truck.
I like the idea of ear plugs with gun, I will have to start doing that
I highly recommend you do that ASAP. Proper ear protection is essential for preventing hearing-loss later down the road. You could become one of those old folk that are as deaf as a brick, constantly yelling “HUH?”. You don’t want that, do you?
Use ear protection.
Crazy coming across this and seeing where the Tacoma is at now!
Nice Spread Buddy picked up a couple really good Ideas!!
Truck EDC A.K.A. Tactical Hoarding. Top Notch Mike. Top notch.
Fucking damn that truck is perfect. Dying for one but with how much a new TRD Tacoma costs it's hard to justify. Truck pricing nowadays is bullshit.
You are the first guy i have seen say they want to pay the truck off first before modding...besides myself. I bought a 2016 Tundra longbed double cab recently and will pay it off first before any major mods. Smart move! Nice Tacoma and i love the color. Toyota always the smart choice.
Me too. I did simple suspension upgrade, tint, and when stuff wears out I replace with better or same...but 5k to go and I am looking forward to leather seats when it is paid off!
Also, I'd add a sleeping bag, extra fuel, snow chains for the tires, hand warmers... It gets cold where you are.
Chains? For a taco? Nah, been through 4 feet of snow with my taco, no problem. Put it in 4lo easy on the brakes and throttle and you are good to go.
Been following your channel for a while now. Setting my H3 up for whatever might come my way as well. Anything less is foolish now a days. I would suggest for your consideration: 3m makes a window film that goes on like tint that makes a smash and grab more risk than reward. It won't keep a determined criminal out, but it would definitely buy your ride a few minutes of time for you to respond accordingly. And if you need to get out of a trapped vehicle it simply lays over as one sheet after you break it from the inside. Check into it, seems like a no brainer. Much love and be blessed brother!!
Awesome and long requested video! I got a lot of great ideas for my Tacoma. Thanks for doing this! I'll do one in the next month.
I thought you got the Tundra? Did you downsize, or am I just remembering incorrectly...?
Enjoyed your video. Great idea on the console divider. Never seen one before. And don't be ashamed of your dirty truck.
It just means you're using it and enjoying it.
Crazy how much that truck has changed.
I have major truck jealousy right now, I want the new Tacoma so bad.
Your Tacoma is very nice. I looked them in late 2015, but I am a big fat guy with tall friends so I went with the 16 Tundra SR5 Crewmax with the 5.7. We carry a lot of the same stuff.
Good idea for med kit, never thought to velcro it to floor board
Check out the SOE visor covers and maybe their seat back panels as well. Seat back panels may take up too much room if you have passengers though.
Sweet carry. Gives me some ideas for things to add to my Jeep.
This is my first video I saw from this channel and I subscribed
Great video man. Thanks for sharing.
Time for me to go shopping!
Just bought more than half of things you've listed! These are a must indeed! THANK YOU. Just subbed! 💥🤘🏽
Great looking truck and cool color! Love your videos, thanks bud!
Great video! My next vehicle is going to be a Tacoma. I want the crew cab version that you have (kids ride in the back seat). I thought about the Tundra but I really don’t need the big engine as I am not towing anything (yet Lol). Hopefully soon! Thanks for the video.
I really like your truck setup
I have a 2019 tundra crew max and wish my truck had half as much storage space as yours does
They make "tactical" seat covers, different companies. They have molle webbing etc... you might like them idk.
Love the truck man. Awesome video!
I carry a bolt cutter too. My wife laughed at me until I used it to rescue us from a large event that had poor/dangerous traffic planning.
It's nice when you're able to actually use some of the gear you carry!
Hey, awesome videos! I noticed in your appendix carry video you had a GTI and now you're in a Tacoma which has been a question for myself with having a GTI. How was the transition?
super jealous of this truck
That is literally my dream truck haha, great video!
great video ! where did you get the thing for your water bottle, so it fits in place ?
You shouldn't keep batteries and coin stored together. The coins can short the batteries and it could start a fire or leak battery acid.
Outstanding video. Stay safe out there. Scott
hey I just seen this video and straight away I subscribed. your videos are excellent. exactly the stuff I'm into. EDC survival all that. keep it up
Great video! I have alot of the same things except stored and locked in my trunk. You must be in a very rural area, in my busy urban environment there's such a high risk of having a vehicle broken into! My Mrs. always makes fun of my velcro projects haha
Yeah, I'm pretty rural and park in a private lot at the office. Though I do typically have my bag and gun locked up (though neither of them are in this video. I use a PacSafe - amzn.to/29yK6J7 for that purpose.
You have the coolest truck on earth... I love the sand colored Tacoma 👍🏻👍🏻
Great Vlog Thanks! Nice Setup
Probably going to be my next vehicle purchase in the next year or two. Love the new Tacoma look!! Sucks they're $$$$$$ for such a small truck.
Nice video my man. Sick truck!
I love this video!! Keep it up llod
Great video.. gave me good ideas with the Velcro. I will be adding some to my truck
What do you think would be a better truck gun and Remington model 700 .270, or a savage model 99 .243, or a 12 gauge.
Awesome ideas! Thanks for sharing!
Hey man, I see you love dogs, what preps do you have for a "bug out" for your dogs? It would be interesting to hear as I have 3 dogs myself. Loving the vids. Greeting from South Africa
Holy shit your organization skills are amazing
Love that sand colour, beauty truck sir
How are your batteries and lighters holding up in there?
Im worried like crazy that they might explode when I leave them in hot weather.
1. Do you like the tacoma? Happy with purchase/would you buy it again?
2. What is the brand/model of the yellow tire pump/jump pack in your back seat?4
3. What is the little gerber cutter you have on your key chain called?
Good vid! I have a similar setup in my vehicle.
Very nice setup. be careful where you park in some cities. I basically have to clean out my vehicle when i visit Philly
you are the first person i know of besides myself that likes the Salted Nut roll...from an EDC standpoint they are actually pretty high in fats and carbs which could be good for if you get stranded
You need to do a review of the tacoma!
One of the better more interesting truck EDC vids that I have seen well done!
Where did you buy the Vick's with the key ring on top ? I have never seen that before.
You are a Master of Amazon. Well thoughtout and organized truck.
Haha, thanks man. As would be fitting, I actually got them from amazon - amzn.to/2aolgfS
Awesome truck. I have a Tundra and love it.
Any updates for 2020? I love your tacoma tooo much!
Yes!! Another led snob, glad I'm not the only one!!! My vehicle lighting looks like it has refrigerator led lights. lol. Led offroad bar is a great investment. Also, I have sprayed truck bed liner on the entire underside of my vehicles to make them pretty impervious to rust. Under seat gun safe??? Lastly, Hillary for Prison 2016!!!!!!
Cool rig brother
Great video, thanks for posting.
Im thinking about getting this as my first car. Does anyone know any good websites where I can get one for cheaper?
Where would you put a plate carrier in your cab?
Man I usually keep my truck and mustang clean as a whistle, but I'm inspired to prep the Ram! Follow you on Instagram by the way and just found you on here by accident looking at EDCs!
Nice setup. I would recommend just adding a plate carrier
how about a ham radio and cb radio .I just installed both in my both of our cars
Squared away. Nice color on the truck, and the dog matches!
Glad you haven't washed yours either. The quicksand makes it way too easy to let it go. The Mrs washed her car over the weekend and I thought I really should wash the truck...but I didn't. Good on you for not babying the taco. Use it for what it's meant to be used for. I love mine. Good luck with it man.
Yeah, really I use a truck as a truck - which isn't typical for Tacoma owners... haha.
Great video and setup sir
Took a trip to Port Aransas, Texas a week after Spring Break in a truck like yours. The back seat the elderly dog slept and had a harness. For my car have the Sears heavy duty Jumper Cables extra long. Thinking about putting LEDs in my tail lights and the trunk light. Used my AM/FM/WB EDC radio and found out the water temp.(La Crosse 810-805 Weather Radio). She did 90+% of the driving and I took a nap... Took my 72 Hour Pack, but did not need to use it except for the weather radio. (Water was about 68 F to 70F). Thank you for the video ! tjl
Has there been an instance where you almost lost the Gerber knife? How sturdy does it lock in?
I just got a taco too. (mine us the 4x4 sport) but I just got a ton of useful ideas on how to use the storage space. thanks a lot for your video.
I broke my mutt after only 3 days in Afghanistan opening a mk.19 ammo can. Wish gerbers were bit tougher. Awesome video man.
I work at the Toyota plant that actually produces these trucks. I’m a quality inspector there. I hope you love your truck.
Awesome video bro, where you ever in the military?
Loved seeing this! You should get a little trash bin (they have velcro on the bottom!!!). Anyway really cool, thanks again!
I'm not alone, like minds! Thanks sharing info.
I love your truck!!
Awesome video. Thanks for the tour. But no fire extinguisher?
It's in the bed of the truck actually. I go back and forth with wanting to keep it in the cab though...
all i have to say is awesome taco and great kits
Loving your videos. You seem really down to earth and it's obvious you aren't just trying to be another tacticool youtube star. I wish you much success along the way.
