These new Indian brands are doing great in the US. The Royal Enfield Interceptor which I own is just totally awesome..so reliable and well built...so simple..so cheap...so pure and above all so beautiful. The same will be true for the Roxor.. Much better than the Chinese built stuff any given day.
Actually a lot of Indian companies have decided not the go the china way and just sell cheap and copied products. A few indian companies have realised that white people countries are a select group of customers who still desire quality over price.
Man I need one of those I’m going to look at them tomorrow. I just hope it’s worth the money be the time you get it Road legal and all that good stuff. So much better than the so-called Chrysler jeep preppy things they’re making now. Take note Chrysler this is how you build a proper jeep. And then you could try and make it affordable for the blue-collar man that made them famous. Believe it or not people other than college kids and rich kids want jeeps also.
The average Joe’s tinkering And Repair Show is absolutely right. I grew up on a tea estate in India where the Willys Jeeps and Mahindra CJ and TJ derived Jeeps which were made in India under licence from Jeep, were our staple. Yes, today’s FCA Jeeps are mere wannabe shadows of what they used to be. And the Wrangler which is supposed to be a utility vehicle is priced somewhere in the stratosphere. Yes indeed, there are lots and lot of average joe people out there who want an affordable Jeep type tough hard core off road vehicle and these are the guys that Jeep itself is ignoring in its efforts to attain the holy grail of branding. This is wrong. All of these manufacturers absolutely have to celebrate the simple regular blue collar guy who MADE these brands. ( Including Levi’s Jeans)...
We already had Mahindra Marshal in India in 2000s. It was completely different compared to what i am seeing here. . Marshal did rule bad Indian roads that time❤
The Marshall is basically the same thing with an extended chassis, an enclosed 5 door body, a naturally aspirated direct injection diesel engine and a 4 speed manual transmission. Very tough vehicle and still has a great resale value even 20 years after the company stopped production.
Thanks for sharing this video of the Roxor from the Michigan plant. When comparing the Thar and the Roxor It appears as though the Thar is trying to build a vehicle that is closer in options to a currently designed Jeep. They are trying to offer more modern and more cushy amenities. Where the Roxor is more or less bare bones. The ideal offering of the Roxor needs to be somewhere in between these two offerings. For example, in the more northerly climate in Canada (where it`s still cold with some snowfall) I would like to see a full enclosed cab; with a variable speed heater; full windows; winch; tires with good treads; mirrors (and signal lights and a horn). With the older design of Jeeps in mind I like the older style gauges, for fuel, tach, oil pressure, boost, battery. engine temp. Thus providing enough information on what is going on with the engine and electrical. So the Roxor driver need to be in complete comfort or those long off road trips. I have a pretty good idea of what the performance would be like but I`d like to see a video of it towing a trailer full of wood for the wood stove.
Better buy one while they're still available. FCA has them in court trying them to stop making them due to styling. It looks to much like a Jeep, which is trademarked by Chrysler (FCA).
Ford had licensed them to build it way back and the license never expired. Regardless the case and made few months back mahindra can build them only thing FCA could do from court suggested is to change the grill of roxor 😂😂
SEMA in Hindi, mean LIMIT in English. Indians want their stuff to be value for money paid, and expect anything made in India to last till next generation! But that is good. You will often hear Indians say SST when describing something they like. It stands for Susta Sunder aur Tikaoo. Meaning Cheap Beautiful and Durable.
Better get one before they go up to 60,000$. Nothing in the US is put to open market unless the price is inflated beyond most people's reach. I'd love to have one, but it's costs two years work at minimum wage - no thank you - I'll buy a used Celica.
Don't worry it's a Mahindra they are made for the affordable price. The new one's just came out check prices of those and compare it to this with the timeline u will get my point

There is a easy way around the legality issue around the looks primarily the front grill. The Roxor is a good vehicle. Here in India we have the Mahindra Thar instead of the Roxor. The Thar was upgraded in 2020 and is much more powerful than the older version along with a brand new petrol engine (150bhp). Rumours going around are that the version abroad will receive the 180bhp tune. nothing will come from that. Mahindra can build it worry free because it is based on the OG CJ design, which is over 75 years old.
Ford had licensed them to build it way back and the license never expired. Regardless the case and made few months back mahindra can build them only thing FCA could do from court suggested is to change the grill of roxor 😂😂
Mahindra just changed the grille and they are back
They no longer build what they r claiming. Jeeps have changed, why does it matter to them now
