I make a version of this recipe that has more cheese, way less Almond flour, no xantham gum, and uses a tbsp of coconut flour so the dough is less sticky.

Looks delicious but is there a substitution for the psyllium husk? I can’t not take that taste
Kristi can NOT stand the taste of it either! Because there’s only 1 Tbsp in this recipe, she said it’s hardly noticeable (it’s more for pliability in this recipe). I’m afraid if you cut it out it might be too crumbly!

Do we need to use 1 TBSP of Psyllium Husk Powder or Flakes (aka whole psyllium husk)? They are very different and the recipe or the video does not specify. Thank you for your great recipes!

If using as a crust for a quiche, would you cook the crust first before adding the egg mixture?
I think so. We’ve never done it, but I don’t think I’d cook to too long. Maybe about 10-20 min bc it takes a quiche so long to cook.
This is a great recipe in the video you say baking powder but your website says baking soda not sure which one it is
You know what, we’ve done both. Lol! Bc In the proof I wrote it down one way and used the other. 🙄. But it is supposed to be powder.

I don’t know! We’ve never tried it with chia. I don’t think the texture will be the same But if you try it, let us know!
@@KetointheCountry It came out very well with chia seeds. Surprised my husband with this calzone, filled it with cheese and sauce. He loved it. Next time will use psyllium husk. Thank you for such a wonderfull dough recipe.

Keto in the Country Hi, I used 1 tablespoon of chia seeds and soaked it with 2 tablespoons of hot water. The texture was soft and held up very good. When I try them with psyllium I will give you my feedback. Regards.

Omg so sorry That will be anything but a calzone please check online and how to make an original Italian calzone obviously not using the regular flour you can still make it using almond flour. A Calzone is stuffed with a mixed with Ricota mozzarella one egg parsley A Touch of salt garlic and oregano and most Italian chef put ham inside with everything else that I just mention of course you can always skip the ham if you’re not into pork.

I've noticed that you ladies like to use a LOT of wasteful parchment paper.. YIKES!!😬. Not only is it wasting money, but it creates extra unneccessary landfill waste too... AND they use chlorine to whiten the paper which emits atmospheric, ozone-eating dioxin during the manuf process. 😢
Silicone baking mats are a wonderful, reusable alternative. 😊 Easy to use and easy to wash. Silpat is one of the best brands I've seen out there.
Unfortunately, this came out horrible. Had to toss it all away. :(
