I’m a 70yo Veteran and a retired Corporate Pilot. The last 15 years of my career I ran the Flight Department for a NY Company based at KFRG on Long Island. I truly enjoyed my entire career. I have 9 Type Ratings but most of my experience is in the Dassault Falcon 50, 900B & 900EX. When I took the job I told the Chairman that I wanted to use the flight and duty time limits that FAR Part 135 used. He agreed and we had no issues the entire time I was there. I had more time off than airline guys especially when the aircraft went down for maintenance. A C check inspection on a Falcon jet can take a few weeks. The only unfortunate aspect was the company pension program was wrapped around the company stock. When the stock took a huge hit and ultimately the company went under we in the flight department lost everything. Very sad. In retrospect I don’t think I would change anything.
Nice to fly with you again!! Refreshing to see professional jet pilots fly a actual pattern with existing traffic rather than "straight in". Great work!
Brought back lots of memories! KSUS is a great airport for a fuel stop, overnight or stop and drop. Didn't hear any TCAS alerts, so that is always a good thing. Sixty years as a pilot and I still miss the flights; even with an early AM show time. ATC sounded relaxed and professional in all of the communications. Outstanding CRM with the two of you. Reminds me of time spent in the CE-500 and CE-525.
Same problem all around the globe in this business, I guess… Crew living from the aircraft stock while waiting for hours for the passengers… Max duty times during summer time was pretty normals here in Europe as well. Season is throttling down a bit. Looking forward to the things to come… Safe flights captain & always 3 greens!
Very interesting to see you’re out of SVH and also mentioned flying for race season. I used to fly for Motorsports and also flew out of SVH small world.
Thanks for the video and letting us fly along. Actually saw my Grandsons dorm on the 1st landing as you flew into Spirit.🙂 Love the camera positioning as well.
This looks like a pretty sweet deal in an aircraft with a heater. I just retired from a 44 year career with the first 5 being in a C-45 night freight operation that could drag on into days as well. Keep it safe and do the right things and enjoy your time in the sky,
Thanks, Captain!! When I win the Lottery, I would love to have you fly me around..... To wherever LOL Thanks for the videos. Always look forward to seeing you.
Finishing up my multi engine training here at Parks (Roll Bills). Was disappointed knowing you only heard our Diamonds flying. Hopefully I can catch myself in another video.
Having watched many of your videos, I can’t hold off asking this question any longer; is a yaw damper really called a “yaw dampener” in the Cessna world? I’ve never heard it called that in any other manufacturers manuals.
Please tell your copilot it is a Yaw DAMPER, not a DAMPENER. . .ugh. Pet peeve. . .nice flying, always enjoy your videos!! Looked like a rough lunch for you, not a good option close by Statesville, eh?
You have my dream job, I live near the west end of the runway in Statesville and watch you guys fly in and out all the time, I flash my halogens at you all when you return from the race and also come over and watch the landings sometimes. I would love to help maintain those or any other jobs that might be.
Nice entertainment video. There should be something written in the beginning along the lines of "don't use our procedures" or "not for education" since some if these "procedures" are absolutely horrific :D
Thank you for sharing your day trip here was good!!☺ You made me laugh when you were looking at lunch in the aircraft for chocolate candy!!☺ Nice!! Hahaha☺
Yep a 16hr day isn’t fun, especially if there is multiple sectors involved, hopefully there wasn’t to much en-route weather to deal with. Interesting that Vapp was 122kts, I thought the citation would have approached a little slower than that, is this a typical Vapp speed? or was there a decent Wind additive? Thanks again Jim, I always enjoy your videos and your “fly on the wall” 1st person style
In our house Jim the phrase is "good Job" when it all goes to plan. So..Good Job Jim. Cheers from Downunder and thanks for the likes on my videos. Fly safe.
Hey captain! I have my ppl, got it about two years ago. Just resuming again, hoping to fly corporate! Doing ground school right now through flight insight! Lots of info for sure but Im loving the grind. Hoping to get those certs and pursue a new career in flying. Thanks, any pointers would be great! Ill look into your channel but I was wondering how you landed that job -- flying corporate. Thank you.
I'm pretty sure it's a Yaw Damper, not yaw dampener. I hate being picky but for some reason this one just bothers me. Thanks for the videos and keep them coming. 🙂
Yeah, I know it seems that way, but he's not the only one doing it. I subscribe to a ton of creators, and it seems that a lot of them call it a dampener. So when I point it out to a single creator, I realize that it sounds picky, but it's kind of like spelling - it's either correct or it's not, and I'll bet that the "young guy" doesn't even realize he saying it wrong. So if no one points it out, he'll continue to sound 'unprofessional' around people who are the true professionals (not me). I'm just trying to help.@@TheFlyingZulu
Two professional pilots that check all the boxes. It is always a pleasure I assure you. Long days at times but still a dream job in a time machine.
Time Machine-I like that😊

The aircraft shadow at 8:25 when approaching 26R was really cool !!!!! Another great video !!!!
i thought the same thing !
Right out of 16 Right.
Nice work airman. Thanks for having us along.
Always a pleasure to be invited to join you, Captain!
Nice to fly with you again!! Refreshing to see professional jet pilots fly a actual pattern with existing traffic rather than "straight in". Great work!
Beautiful shot while landing and the shadow of the aircraft into view-
The copilot reminds me of my early days flying. I was saying "OK.... " for every readback . My instructor was mad at me :)

Great multi-leg flight Jim , it shows what good CRM is required .
..always a good day..when our longtime smiling friend ..Capt. Moonbeam..posts yet another great video...and please..keep em comin'..
Great audio and video editing. SVH-based Baron subscriber here. Keep up the good work, and thanks for taking us along.
Thanks for posting. @sailingairplanes from Dagsboro DE huge fan of yours. Love how you manage a flight deck.
Very professional. Love the interaction back and forth with the checklist items. I see you are spending quite a bit of time close by at SVH.
Nice to see another flight! Maybe I’ll see you pass by next time I’m at Wings of Hope, just off of 26R.
Plenty long enough day Jim! Thanks for another quality video - nicely edited as usual. All best :)
That shadow you landed on was amazing!
Captain's log 243 ✈ Wow! What great weather day to go flying!
Very interesting to see you’re out of SVH and also mentioned flying for race season. I used to fly for Motorsports and also flew out of SVH small world.
That was a great video, thank you kindly.. looking forward to getting my new private jet and joining y’all soon. Cheers!
Great video, love the flow....straight and to the point. Trying finish up my commercial now and these are handy videos.
Good stuff! Man those 10 foot callouts come quick!
Great interview on Pilot to Pilot podcast. Really enjoy your channel.
Thanks for the video and letting us fly along. Actually saw my Grandsons dorm on the 1st landing as you flew into Spirit.🙂 Love the camera positioning as well.

Ole Ted has come a long way. Good job with him.
That controller who gave you the code is a amazing controller and he works Friday night overnight shifts
Thanks, Captain!! When I win the Lottery, I would love to have you fly me around..... To wherever LOL Thanks for the videos. Always look forward to seeing you.
Lol hearing the "career track" call sign 😂 gives me flashbacks to my training at ATP
Finishing up my multi engine training here at Parks (Roll Bills). Was disappointed knowing you only heard our Diamonds flying. Hopefully I can catch myself in another video.
Thank you fir sharing your Aviation life.

i see your still greasin those landings Jim i like your new partner too btw he has a nice demeanor and good camera voice
Please tell your copilot it is a Yaw DAMPER, not a DAMPENER. . .ugh. Pet peeve. . .nice flying, always enjoy your videos!! Looked like a rough lunch for you, not a good option close by Statesville, eh?
Strange to hear my voice on UA-cam lol. I’m the controller who cleared you in the beginning.
Hey Jim, thanks for visiting our Original Pancake House. Really enjoy your videos. 👍
That 50-5 countdown on the intro was so smooth…..buddy id love to fly with you!
You have my dream job, I live near the west end of the runway in Statesville and watch you guys fly in and out all the time, I flash my halogens at you all when you return from the race and also come over and watch the landings sometimes. Awesome! I did my first flight ever out of Statesville NC.
You followed us out of Charleston today. Was in Flexjet 333.
Nice entertainment video. There should be something written in the beginning along the lines of "don't use our procedures" or "not for education" since some if these "procedures" are absolutely horrific :D
Seems you are flying into SVH a lot lately. Welcome to NC! I live just up the road at HKY,. Have long enjoyed your videos.
Keep up the great work you do and thank you have a blessed day .
thanks wmerr
I flew for the Red Neck Air Force in 1997. Out of Statesville. 😁🛫
Thank you for sharing your day trip here was good!!☺ You made me laugh when you were looking at lunch in the aircraft for chocolate candy!!☺ Nice!! Hahaha☺
Glad to see you Jim. was your channel on recently? You were always one of my favorites.
Hey Captain! Recent subscriber- love the channel! I'm also a watch buff and was wondering what you wear when piloting? Thanks for your time!

busy day
at least one can "practice" take off and landing 🙂
Safe flights ahead
in statesville was that livery on those (embraers?) assume that’s their base? or is it something else?

WHAT A JOB, I ALMOST HAVE TEARS IN MY EYES
Great content as always! Quick question, does the co-pilot get any credit for flight hours or just the pilot? Thanks!
Long days...nice crew coordination...
What race season are you referencing at 1:10?
Awesome stuff, it’s also great to see John Bolton get into a more relaxing lifestyle (sorry bro dead ringer except you’re a kind soul 😂❤)
Captain Moonbeam, there's no more new content on your channel. Have you stopped flying or have you decided not to add videos to your UA-cam channel?
Hello Jim! Wondered where you were!
I am really surprised that you don’t get to visit the tracks.
I'm pretty sure it's a Yaw Damper, not yaw dampener. I hate being picky but for some reason this one just bothers me. Thanks for the videos and keep them coming. 🙂
I really wish the young guy would read Yaw Damper and say 'yaw damper' ... not dampener.
Lol you're right... you are being super picky! haha.

Don’t worry, I have a German friend that is sweatening when hot and humid.
really enjoying the videos, thanks.
Glad to hear it!
Were you experiencing a thermal inversion after the take off ?
🤔 Is HAPPY61 Heavy one of the tankers from KBLV?
Love to see you back again Capt!
I think running low on caffeine levels in your blood stream would be a MAYDAY call to ATC !
Great video, Capt.
Charlotte motor speedway or Zmax dragway?
Was there no fbo at statesville with a pilots lounge to rest?
So awesome, out of KSVH. I’m a Commercial multi engine Pilot out of KJQF. Hope to see you around.
Flying the pattern. Real pros.
Nice video. Doesn't the FO never fly? I thought you would fly a leg each?
He’s flying at 10:00, they switched seats
It may depend on passengers on board or empty legs.
Have they fixed the bump in the middle of SVH?
If you ever fly to KLNS, I'd love to meet!
Flying a citation. That’s what mine is. Great planes and great video. I don’t see the side of my pilots like you showed.
That probably doesn’t count getting the plane put to bed. Do you get a day off after a long day?
Excellent video!
It's a yaw damper, not a dampener. LOL. Dampener would be a spray bottle.
Exactly!
Dampener works
I drive a 45 on Medivac and long days are normal!
Greetings Jim from Detroit metro good see you again be safe Greg the pilot
Where ever you were in the morning, gas is $1.40 cheaper than eastern Washington
Hey Captain, no need to punch in the leading "1" on the frequency. The Garmin assumes that.
You're absolutely right. But, at this point it's a habit.
Same for me. I have to actively recall this short cut too.@@captmoonbeam
Is there an iPhone App? Do the passengers get to vote on whether they think you are fit to have their lives in your hands?
Hi: I’m also flying at PWK. May I contact you? I have a couple questions.
Good Lord, I miss flying the XL.
Nothing wrong with part 91....but some days could be long depending on who you were flying for.
are you related to governor moonbeam?
Great video!
great work
What’s the periodic shrill sound?
Why doesn’t the cameras shake on landing?
FLYING, a very tough way to earn a crust
Great video sir!
Did I hear 5:00 AM ????? I'm pretty sure that the whole earth is supposed to be shut off at that time. Celestial law or something like that.
Soft landing 👌🏼🧐 ❤
24:48
Corporate aviation is the same thing all over the world
ATC comms from FO are hilarious 😂 worse than most grass strip drivers..
Where are at sir
