Depending on mileage without these modifications this could go for 30K
Tbh it’s probably not a BETTER transmission than the zf 8 speed in the g80, they went for the zf because it shifts just as fast and can handle more power but the feel that this transmission gives you is definitely more suitable for a sports car
i think biggest reason they switched to zf8 is because of awd. makes it much more manageable to put torque down from a dig thru a torque converter than a dct clutch dump

@@Vincetagram yea the dct's are just as strong if not stronger but they're not as smooth which is makes a rwd car more fun but can be too inefficient & shocking on the rest of the drivetrain in an awd launch.
@@froyothepro5615 ahh, that makes sense. Never thought about that. How does VAG do it then? Or is transmission and drivetrain maintenance just more expensive over time in a car that’s done a lot of digs?
@@Vincetagram i think VAG’s has been using that transmission for a bit longer so they have more experience in a way they mastered at making them quick but very smooth as well. however you’ll notice these days they don’t use the DSG in many of their sporty cars anymore and also use the ZF8 like in the rs4/rs5/rs6/rs7. i believe the only notable sporty cars that still use the DSG are the R8 and the ttrs/rs3. (not including porsche with their PDK lol)

@@Starscream8896Bro you guys are still waaay better off than us in Europe. Just checked the market here in Norway: 73.000$ for a 09 model with the ess kit, 80k miles aswell. Stock e92s go for 55-60k here (high mileage).
You should find one with the rare harrop twin screw supercharger kit they made for these. Definitely my favorite setup on E9X M3s.

I have a harrop on my e92 M3 that he can drive. It's got AR catless long tube headers and their resonated xpipe and Akra evo rear section.

Why does this engine make so much more horsepower than torque with or without supercharger
Engine displacement and piston size.
Its a peaky engine that is similar to race cars and ideal for the racetrack it has a high rev limit at 8300rpm.
It sounds low but it's pretty balanced for the car. Even 400whp is super nimble. Remember, it's not a straight line car and shines on the curves. Very linear power and one of the few cars I could never get myself to sell lol.
Small displacement and high flowing cylinder heads and induction system that lack velocity at low engine speeds.
@@Sideways_Singh BMW was being nice to us giving us pretty much a race v8 engine for the public roads lol one of the reasons rod bearings is the thing to look out for

@@Motorsports_3 all depends on packages and year/gearbox. You also bought yours in 2020 at the start of COVID when prices were tanked not to mention yours isn’t supercharged lol

Great if you want someone else's upgrades. Prefer stock.
Someone else's upgrades? you act like its a bad thing... There are only a few basic performance mods you can do to ANY car, so the mods they have done is what you would do to the car (unless your a weirdo and want to keep the car close to stock), so at least with buying someone else's modded car you save a lot on the mods that you would eventually do regardless, so your an idiot not to buy a modded car (so long as it was properly modded ofc).
I agree with your point on cosmetic things because people have a different taste, but not performance mods. You are an idiot if you don't want to buy a modded car but you want to buy it stock and then do the mods yourself and lose a ton of money for literally no reason.
