E92 m3 owner here. Incredible machine. Love how the supercharger kit retains the S65's linear power delivery while giving it an immense boost in bhp/torque. This is nicer than any turbo V8 motor
Owning an F82 M4, the thing that hit me when riding along in an E90 M3 was the linear power. I read your commend and instantly remembered my time in the E90. Had a 435i (FBO stage2+ E30 etc) at the time and they are about equal. It's just the perfect amount of fast, especially in a manual. I'd like to own an E90 or E92 M3 but not done with my F82 track project.
I had an M92 M3 for 10 years and close to 300.000km. Every time, every single time I revved that car over all those years it put a smile on my face. This video (almost) made me feel bad for driving an EV these days.
Absolute dream car. I think I watched this 3 times, the first two while eating and the third completely focused, I don’t think I was blinking or breathing the third time. Short shifting at half throttle sounded incredible, with almost NASCAR level sounds coming from the car at wide open. Great video as always 👏
Astonishing! Immediately fallen in love w/ this car. Would love to see you guys do a video driving a Z4 with the M3 e92 V8 like the old GT3 racer. I don't know if any exist on the road haha, but if they do please grab the keys and drive it! Keep up the good work 👍

@@ajstevens1652 this is just the beginning. A clean low mile example is a future gem. Easily touching 6 figures in the near years to come( for the average clean example) there are already plenty of high/sought after specs going for over 90k.
That is an absolutely amazing car I would love to have something like that. It is scary fast. And retains some function and form for street. Scary. Amazing. Beautiful bmw. I would like to own a V8 bmw. I’ve been looking at the BMW M6 coupe with V10
If you really appreciate what the V8 can do that not much else can, I agree. If you just need a BMW e9x with ample power, I think a 335i or even 335d is even better value in the same body styles.
@@GoldenCroc the thing is N54's are a pain to work on and maintain, If i Just cared for the price/reliability x Power i would Go the 335d route. They can make 500hp with almost none of the N54 problems
@@lucasdamask Yes the N54 can be a bit of a headache, but once the normal fixes are done it shouldnt be much worse than the S65 I would think. 335i with N55 was also availible if one is so inclined... Myself I have a 335d... But I think running it with a lot of power on track is a recipe for disaster, havent seen anyone do is succesfully. Still, if one is satisfied with almost stock M3 performance, I think it can hold up reasonably even on track. In normal driving, it is of course much more reliable than all the petrol engines as far as I am aware.
@@GoldenCroc i think an M3 is a better sports car in ways that a 335i would take the amount of money that would buy you an M3 to make as fast as, not only engine, but suspension, dif, transmission, plus labor. so when you start to think, an M3 for 20k starts to look like a bargain, with stock realiabily. i think N54's are great in a way. but to make a 335i as fast as an E90 M3 would take a big chunk of those 20k. it's hard these days, it made more sense when M3's were 30k plus.
@@lucasdamask Yeah, naturally it depends on the relative prices and so on. I always assume one makes all the mods oneself. Just a default assumption since thats what I do, but thats not always the case of course. My 335d is getting ridiculously expensive even though I have modified almost everything myself, but I am a weirdo that wanted a 335d more than any other car (Yes, even more than a brand new M3/M5/M8 for example.), it wasnt about price at all for me, it just does things that I need that the other cars cant do. I payed about 25k for my 335d, but it was probably the only one in the world with that spec, so to me it was worth it. Resell value wasnt a consideration since I will never sell it. Cheers.

Hope the owner gets the rod bearings checked on a very regular basis. This engine along with the V10 it was derived from are prone to rod bearing damages anyhow. Adding a supercharger can only result in faster wear, especially when it spends it life on track ;) would be a shame to lose the engine after all the effort that went into this beauty

Highly doubt he spent 80k Euro's. And didn't replace the rod bearings once. Especially with some many aftermarket bearing companies, to choose from.
