  • Mutton curry is a dish which is marinated an cooked with plenty of spices , herbs , onions etc . It's basically a curried dish popular in Indiana sub continent.

    Ingredients Quantity
    Sliced onion 2 no
    Bay leaf 2 no
    Black cardamom 2 no
    Cinnamon stick 1 no
    Clove 4 to 5 no
    Mutton on bone ½ kg
    Salt to taste
    Turmeric powder ½ tsp
    Water 4cup / 1 ltr
    Coriander seeds 1 tbsp
    Cumin seeds 1 tsp
    Bay leaf 2 no
    Black cardamom 2no
    Cardamom pods 4 no
    Black pepper 1 tsp
    Cloves 3 no
    Oil 3 tbsp
    Bay leaf 2 no
    Cardamom seeds 2 no
    Cinnamon stick 1 no
    Chopped onion 1 tbsp
    Ginger garlic paste 1 ½ tbsp
    Chopped tomato 2 small
    Red chilli powder 2 tsp
    Fennel powder 1 tsp
    Ginger powder ½ tsp
    Prepared masala 3 tsp
    Chopped ginger 1 tsp
    Chopped green chilies 2 no
    Chopped Coriander leaves 1 tsp
    Coriander sprig for garnish
    Method
    • On a chopping board take 2 no of onions and slice them , once they are sliced keep is aside .
    • Take a pressure cooker add oil , bay leaves , black cardamom, cinnamon stick ,cloves , mutton on bone , salt to taste , turmeric powder , water and close the lid of the pressure cooker and let it cook for 20 mins (8 whistle) on medium flame
    • In a pan add coriander seeds , bay leaf , cumin seeds , black cardamom, cardamom pods , black pepper , cloves and dry roast it once it’s done remove it in a mixer grinder and grind it in to powder and keep it aside .
    • Once the 8 whistles are done switch off the induction and keep the pressure cooker aside
    • In an another kadhai add oil , bay leaf , cardamom seeds , cinnamon stick, chopped onions , ginger garlic paste , chopped tomato , red chilli powder , fennel seeds , ginger powder , prepared masala and mix it well, till then open the cooker and strain the mutton and add the mutton in the masala and mix it well ,now add the stock , mix it well add chopped ginger and chopped green chillies , close tit with the lid and let it get cook for 15 to 20 mins on medium flame , till then chop some coriander leaves and add it to the gravy , even add the remaining prepared masala and mix it well .Finally remove it in a serving bowl garnish it with coriander sprig and serve hot .
