Made the recipe for hubby and it came out good; next time I'll use less maple syrup, it was a little too sweet. But how do I get the cookie layer to be crunchy? I baked it for 11 minutes. Should it be baked longer before adding the cashew butter layer?
Thank you for trying my recipe :) Yes, you can bake the cookie layer longer to get more crunch. And you can definitely adjust the maple syrup to your preferred sweetness level. Let me know how your next batch turns out.
Thank you! I haven't use dates in them yet but I’d suggest using about 1 cup of pitted Medjool dates. You can blend them into a smooth paste with a little water and incorporate them into the caramel layer. Let me know how it turns out!
Looking forward to this! I’m traveling and wanted a candy bar and bought mini ones to minimize how much refined sugar I’d take in. Soon as I get home I’m trying this, especially with Halloween coming. It will help me resist temptation to overload😅.
Haha...mini's are a great strategy when you're out and about :) I hope you enjoy these! I had to make several batches for this video, so I have a nice stash in my freezer :)
This looks and sounds truly amazing, and, not being great with chocolate or baking, i think im gonna give these a try! Thanks so much for sharing, and great job putting the video together. FYI - this video was recommended to me on my Google TV, not within UA-cam, so congrats on reaching a wider audience!
Thank you! These need to be kept cold so the coconut oil stays solid. They can last 7 days in the fridge and several months in the freezer in an airtight container.
I love Twix and this healthy version looks so yummy! Curious about almond flour…..for this recipe we bake it… that makes sense. Is it ok to eat any no bake desserts that use almond flour? Or does it have to be cooked (not raw)?
Great question! Yes, you can definitely eat almond flour in no-bake desserts! Since it's just ground almonds (and almonds are safe to eat raw), it’s totally fine to use it without baking. I love using almond flour in energy bites or no-bake treats-it adds a nice texture and flavor!
Hi, Ashton, I use a little set of stainless steel measuring spoons. For vanilla extract, I use the red bottle lid because it equals 1 teaspoon :) Did that answer your question?
Baked according to the directions, the base is crispy on the edges and softer in the middle. If you'd like it to be crunchier, you can bake it for several minutes longer :)
At 40 Seconds i knew you were american. Lets' use something you need to throw away (single use paper) and spray it with non stick spray (ouch). Why not just use a bit of vegan butter or oil? Better for our Planet.
I made it yesterday. It’s absolutely delicious and taste like Twix! Thank you ! Please keep posting GF and vegan recipes. We really enjoy it

Looks so incredible, they were my Favorite! So Kind of you to share!!! Thank you so much…♥️🤗🌹
You're welcome! I hope you enjoy making them :)
This would be a great one to also have on a gift tray of cookies and treats!!!
Yes, It totally agree :) But they do best when stored in the fridge or freezer to keep the coconut oil solid.
@@gentletummy good to know !! thank you!!!!
I think I might try to make this in mini cupcake pans to make poppable Twix bites!
Oh, yumm!! That's a brilliant idea! Let me know how it turns out :)
gosh, keep these coming!! growing up i love snickers ice cream, any chance you can re-create it?

Mine, too! I hope you enjoy these! Please let me know how they turn out :)
I made this with whey protein and peanut butter. They are delicious and pretty easy to make. The printed recipe link left off the milk. Thanks!

Hi Derry, thank you for sharing this with me! I'm so glad you found this recipe. Please let me know how it turns out :)
didnt add the protein powder link ....I use MariGold collagen peptides and I use Drink Wholesome protein powder...is that good....Julianna
Thank you for catching that! The link is there now. And here it is...amzn.to/3ZZvEDr
Lovely recipe! Since it has milk i was wondering for how many days can we store them?
Thank you! These need to be kept cold so the coconut oil stays solid. They can last 7 days in the fridge and several months in the freezer in an airtight container.
These look great! Can coconut oil be substituted for canola or vegetable?
Thank you! You'll want to use coconut oil because it becomes solid when it's cold. That helps the bars stay together. Vegetable and canola oil do not.
@gentletummy Very helpful, thanks for responding!
Thank you ! ❤❤❤🎉
You're welcome! I hope you get a chance to make them :)
Hello, Thanks for the recipe! Can we make this without the protein powder ? How would I adjust the measurements ?
Yes, you can :) If you click on the recipe link in the video description, it's listed in the Ingredients & Substitutions section.
Would peanut butter work??
yes, and it would taste delish!!

@@gentletummy is that if I make my own almond flour, or the store bought ones too? I have the Costco blanched almond flour. Is that one ok?
@@syl1382 I use storebought blanched almond flour. I typically shop at Sams club and use Blue Diamond, but the one they sell at Costco is great, too!
Yummy and vegan,i love this one ❤❤❤❤
Yes! I hope you have a chance to make these :)
What type of measuring tools are you using for the teaspoon etc, I hope this makes sense. 😃
Hi, Ashton, I use a little set of stainless steel measuring spoons. For vanilla extract, I use the red bottle lid because it equals 1 teaspoon :) Did that answer your question?
@@gentletummy Yes thank you. I was curious because it looked like you were using tiny cups for measuring.
Yum.
Agreed :)
Nice camera - which one do you use?
Thank you! I use a canon EOSR :)
How to substitute the protein powder
If you click on the recipe link in the video descriptions I include all the substitutions in the Ingredients & Substitutions section :)
yes if you insist i will have one or two thank you
Yes, yes I do! :)
Is the cookie base supposed to be crunchy because mine was not?
Baked according to the directions, the base is crispy on the edges and softer in the middle. If you'd like it to be crunchier, you can bake it for several minutes longer :)
@ I baked it for 16 minutes. I guess that wasn’t long enough to make it crunchy
Yummy 🤤
thank you :)
I didn't see the link to your favorite protein powder
Thank you for catching that! I added the link :) And here it is... amzn.to/3ZZvEDr
Wow
