The ADA is the ADA. If you have an exemption you have an exemption. If something needs to be brought up to code then bring it up to code. But this sounds more like a professional complaint against needs to be filed with the state’s Bar Associan against the legal firm trying to shake down these businesses.

They should go through mediation for the first offense.

Unless you're grandfathered in when the law required accessible ramps business owners were supposed to accomodate and retrofit to make ramps etc....Now the shark Lawyuhs that just send out demand for money or be sued because they are not in compliance is just wrong on it's face. We had a guy locally who tried that and made a lot of money until they made a law putting and end to this kind of "lawsuit."

In texas it's required. A lotta lawsuits were filed years ago. Some spots require a little walking but we have them.

How many handicapped people shop in comparison? Home depot has over a dozen spots and I have never seen a person in a wheel chair buying lumber have you?
Its like when they put braille on the ATMs or on rest room doors... When has a blind person ever used an ATYM or gone to a public restroom alone? I know of a stadium that was sued for not making handicapped seats higher than the rest because they could not see when others stood up to cheer lol FN PC out of control... FYI there are only .38 % deaf people in America yet sign language / closed captioning being pushed like it was life or death

Yes because if it can't accommodate their disabilities than is classified as ableism, or seen is discriminatory against people with disabilities. There's an exact reason for this. And and not building those accommodations into football stadiums violates the different code of ethics for both of the NFL and the NCAA. That's why all 32 teams in the NFL Place handicap spots in elevated areas in the stadium or at the very front of upper-level areas, because some people in wheelchairs cannot physically stand up for a very long time and some cannot stand up at all, and both of these organizations accommodate people with disabilities not only because they have fans that are disabled and it's classified as discriminatory to not accommodate them, but because they make a profit off of disabled fans you have to remember these organizations care more about capitalism than they do about anything else, and it pays more to make money off of disabled people than it does not to, and every single Sports organization in the United States knows this even without lawsuits and without the law.
Trust me they can do this without lawsuits just because you guys complain about it, and you guys complaining about how SJW the NFL has gotten actually makes the NFL a lot of money, because they're getting hundreds of millions of dollars in free advertisement just do to your complaints. So the more you complain the more money they're going to make in the more woke they're going to get, and they're not going to give a shit because of capitalism. So if you want something a bitch about bitch about corporations not disabled people, and how they're using psychological drama to make money through triggering douchebag conservative idiots.

I shop at Home Depot a lot, they have an awesome garden center. Last fall, I had the nice employee put two cut up 2x4s in the shopping basket on the back of my electric wheelchair. I was upgrading some plant stands. Disabled people have homes that need maintenance too.
I encourage you to become more compassionate towards your fellow human beings and I hope you never lose the ability to walk, see, or hear.
I miss dancing. I can't imagine being blind, to never see the beauty of a sunset or a lover's face. I also can't imagine never hearing music or laughter. Being disabled sucks and I truly appreciate it when a business makes a reasonable accommodation for me and my fellow Americans.

As someone who is slowly losing her ability to walk and will one day need a wheelchair and is currently walking with a walker, I can attest to how many businesses I see daily and would love to shop at them but can't because they are not ADA accessible. I see many people who like myself are disabled and are out shopping. Would I go up and sue these businesses? No, because that is just being ridiculous, but I would like to educate them and tell them that I have not been able to shop at your store and would love to but your building is not up to ADA code and that the landlord need to lay down foundation for a wheelchair ramp
