Way of topic, it would be interesting to see, as an example, a GM class 2 data computer on the bench with power and grounds hook up, and a lab scope on the data line to prove out the transmitter. Thank you for considering doing a video, if something like this can be used, it removes the argument of the parts suppliers on bad refurbished modules on communication issues.
I got the xtool nitro xt just as a scan tool but I'm pretty happy with its abilites so far. I have used it to program a VW remote but cannot do the immo without buying the add ons for different makes.
I have noticed that AKS is now showing a new tool called the 360 pro, I am willing to bet that the nitro tools will be phased out. Another thing about the 360 pro is that appears to be built on the topdon/Launch type tools. To
Earlier Hondas require a 4 or 5 digit code input on the radio, when the battery is disconnected, then reconnected! Otherwise, the radio does not work! i.e. Changing out an old car battery for a new car battery, requires said procedure.
I'm an automotive locksmith. Sometimes we get lockouts on Honda's that turn into lost keys. Usually if they don't want a key made it's because they can't afford it. I tell everyone who hopes, thinks, prays the keys are in the car that in my experience 19 out of 20 times unless you know the keys are in there they won't be. I also tell them before the car is opened their alarm will go off and we don't disconnect batteries. They ask why and I tell them about the radio. I do this on the initial phone call so there are no surprises. After that speech I have had many call me back and thank me for giving them the incentive to keep looking for the keys and they found them. If I can help someone out over the phone instead of charging them a service call for something they can do I actually enjoy that.
I have a 2004 honda pilot and the immobilizer broke on it while replacing something. Can i start said car without the piece. If not what needs to be done after getting said piece?
Question I have a 2016 Acura TLX base , 2 original working key fobs, went to add a 3rd and after programing, no trunk release function, tried the aftermarket and a used OEM fob same result. Is there something about the original key fob trunk remote release signal that added fobs can't duplicate? Erased the original then re registered it works good. Any other key fob registered has no truck release function. using OTOFIX IM1. Thank you .
Not at all. Each manufacturer is different, here are 2 examples. GM - Buy a $45 VIN token for SPS2 and add a key with the right hardware. Ford - Buy a $50 2 day subscription and a have an active NASTF VSC and add keys to as many of FOrds as you can in the 72 hour subscription time. The Ford example requires some vehicle ownership documents so I tried to pick the 2 most extreme answers. Also there are many aftermarket tools that will do either of these as well.
The stress of getting the right key in that 20 second time frame!😂
I am glad people in Tulsa have someone to go to for stuff like this!

Does having all the keys on the same keychain ever cause issues? I would think that the probability is high, with such an rfid system...?
Totally can.
Great job thanks for sharing

was it worth the extra money going cordless when you have to sit there and turn the key on and off and program all the keys?
Yes!

Do you need a federal license to gain access to key programming capabilities?
