You must choose whether you want the emotional pain of regret or the emotional pain of self discipline. There is no such thing as a life without emotional pain. Choosing structure and self discipline is more mature than choosing temporary pleasure.
Quitting for thirty days is usually achievable by most. Staying quit is the issue. I'm 10 years sober now, after a life of daily drinking. If you stay on your journey you will see many benefits and most importantly improved health.
Yeah mate you're right. A bit of will power and the euphoria of quitting will get most through 30 days. It got me through that, but just wasn't long enough so 90 is the next challenge. Not ready to say never again just yet, I don't know how! Thanks for the comment mate.
I done 31 days in jan, then broke it 4 my birthday party...Now back into shitty pattern of weekend ninge drinking, hangivers , regret, wasted money plus recreational drugs and arguing with my mrs...Im 51 now fed up of it had 35 years of drinking...Had few weekends off since , spent going 4 meals, cinema etc , im currently 6 days sober and feel great, just being working hard ,sleeping well and going 2 gym...Got festival coning up which will be a test but lufe is so much better when u aint hungover..I think as u get older it gets worse..It really is a poison..
I’m 12days into my life of no alcohol, I have been a life long daily drinker drinker. I’m fed up with watching scripted, edited videos on UA-cam that are usually trying to sell you something. It’s great to see someone saying it as it is, an honest review warts and all. I needed to watch this… thanks mate, good luck and keep making the videos.
Hey man thanks so much for the comment! Exactly the thing I wanted to portray. None of this shit is easy and no gimmicks or tricks will work. We know that. Best of luck
Appreciate the very honest video. I can't be the only one who gets strength and inspiration from you making the effort to share your journey towards sobriety. I've got a family like you, it's criminal that we steal time from our kids with hangovers and too tired to do stuff with them. I think that will be a massive regret when they've grown up and flown the nest, and reason in itself to quit for good. It's my main reason anyway, as well as just feeling mentally so much more balanced when I string a few sober days together. 25 days in, I'm feeling great, and considering quitting for good. All the best to you, and thanks for sharing.
Wow wondered what happened to you hadn’t seen a video by you in awhile really enjoyed the nfl videos. Watched the whole video great insight into your relationship with alcohol caused me to reflect on my own experiences with alcohol
No worries my friend. Always happy to open up, because I have nothing to hide. What I've already said to myself is so much worse than anyone else could ever say ya know?
Here are TWO UA-cam channels on the subject of addiction that you may not know about: sober...again AND Sauce Ain't the Boss Both are very raw, transparent, and honest content creators in my experience
This is very true. A really tough mental game that you're always going to lose at eventually. I think! Just can't trust myself to say such a concrete statement yet which sucks but it is what it is. Thanks for the comment.
@@itsoktotalk You had such momentum when you quit for 30 days, but I saw you not post any follow up. I know alcohol, and I know all it takes is just one to go straight back. :). Try reading Allen Carr's Easy Way to Stop Drinking (it is the updated version).

In the long run, loving yourself into self improvement is better than shaming and criticizing yourself into change.

If I've helped one person out there then it was all worth it! thanks for the comment mate.
Being sober improves your overall healthy and leads to deeper, more refreshing sleep. That could be number five.
Great video and series, the ups the downs, it’s all apart of the story. Well done
Cheers man appreciate you being here for it.
117 days of no alcohol for me
Keep it up bro
Well done man and thanks for coming through!

Thank YOU for sharing, and I hope you're having success on your journey. Hangovers are absolutely fucked and certainly not worth it.
You can tell you've quit alcohol just from your complexion. It's much clearer and healthier.
Thank you for the kind comment.

I have decided that I don't need alcohol to be more friendly or better at telling jokes. I want to be me for free.
Thanks mate. im really struggling with this shit. what you said was so honest and on the mark. I love you. keep up the good work

I actually just came across Sauce ain't the boss yesterday. The guy looks incredible!! Hugely motivating no doubt.
Great video thanks keep it going please 👍😀🙏
Sense of medium depression there, and finding your purpose. I've been through it all, get what your saying pal-thanks.
Sadly I've fallen back into old habits and I'll be using this channel to help me get back out
