And they also appreciate the writing, the direction, the sets, the production values...here we see a whole cast of actors not talking about themselves, but giving complete props to the writers and crew who make the whole thing possible. You can tell that for an actor, it's probably a dream come true and an amazing experience working on a show this awesome when so much other TV fucking sucks. This show is career-making for the young actors, and a career highlight for the veterans.

The current plan is to make a season for each book with the exception of book 3 which will comprise of two seasons. There are currently 5 books and George R. R. Martin plans on writing two more so probably a total of 8 seasons, potentially more if other books are split.
Charles Dance is more flamboyant IRL than his roles would have you believe, and Michelle Fairlay is the kind of person with a voice you'd move away from if she sat next to you on the bus. Shows how great they are at acting.
Although Tywin Lannister didn't get much exposure in season 1, he's already my favorite character. That father-son talk between Tywin and Jaime in the tent gave a great impression.
