@monokhem I think the storyline was good but the writers should have made it at least a couple episodes longer because it really felt rushed.
monokhem i agree with you so much, fans wanted the fight with the king to progress for what seems the whole season. The fight gave me anxiety because the night king was actually very smart, every scene with Melisandre was divine. It’s wasn’t the most perfect season but it wasn’t that terrible either. People still bitching on other videos has nothing do with the writing, the show been finished.

Thats when you know they were awesome characters - when you forget they are not those people. Especially when you actually knew the actors prior to these roles, and still forget they are not the characters.
I agree he looks very weird with hair it’s such an iconic a character he played on Game of Thrones that I think it throws anybody off when they see him with a different look

S Mac Yes that cast was great every single one of them .. maybe except for greyworm think he was miscast. .. but that last season was bizzarr ... it was rushed and compressed and it didn’t need to go that way. The production the effects superb but season was too quick ... we waited nearly a year and a half ....for this

I'm not an actor. The closest thing for me to empathize with "wraps" on movies or tv was participating in my grade school Christmas play. Now that I look back on it, it's an amazing feeling. there are so many moments that will only happen once.

Just enjoy it, be like 99% of the people who watch the show, who don’t immediately go on you tube, or straight to social media, they watch the episode, liked it,thought it was ok, or didn’t think much of it, they then go to bed, get up in the morning go to school, go to work, and get on with there lives, they treat it like any other tv show, the meltdown these last few weeks is just staggering, every one just chill, it’s much better for your blood pressure,

I dont think they ever film in order it comes in the movie but by location. I'm assuming interior shots are easier to film vs. cool exterior shots with historical things in the background such as the dragon pit, it probably wasn't the last scene filmed but I bet the council scenes were shot last last.

I bet they were emotional. All the years they worked their ass off and made the most phenomenal show only for D&D to play them at the end. These actors and the crew as well deserved so much more than this season. I can't believe it is ending like this. But i thank you all for the years of dedication to this epic saga. It will forever be my favorite. Sans season 8 of course 😉

I think more people should watch the documentary they made about season 8 behind the scenes. So so so much work went into season 8 and even though people were disappointed with it and stuff I feel like it isn't getting enough credit. Like they had 11 weeks of night shoots and that is both physically and emotionally draining and then to see as an actor or crew member that people didn't like the last season must be really disappointing.

I don't know what all the people are so angry about the ending. If you know "ANYTHING" about this story, in my view all bases were covered, that's a monumental task seeing how complex the story. I think it ended the only way it could have, with jon in the north, (where he wanted to be in the first place..Remember?..) He asked to go, bran remembers. The north remembers.) The king beyond the wall!

Apart from the last season in general, and the final, specifically, the thing I find MOST unbelievable is that the actor playing Bran was paid as much as the ones who played Arya and Sansa. For what???!!!! He was barely in the show, said about three words, and mostly just laid around with white eyeballs. I guess in Benioff & Weiss's world, THAT's acting!

they don't film scenes in order we see them in episodes. per example, the first scene they filmed in this season was that party after the battle against the Night King. so maybe her last scene was the one with the horse, that one is calm

Yes the writing was great in seasons 1-4, then fell off the wagon from season 5-8, but one thing that remained brilliant from the start to the end was the cast and crew. What made the show what it was, was indeed the cast.

I feel like pairing Bran and Varys was because none of their friends were remaining. Dinklage doesn't do interviews and all of Bran's entourage like Hodor, Jojen, Osha, Rickon and Meera have all left/died.
People are being ridiculously hard on this season. Sure it was rushed but since it is so great we wish we got MORE not less. I love how it ended. Jon becoming the new Mance was really cool I just wish we seen a glimpse of White Walkers returning.
I was waiting for that when they rode into the far north! I was thinking “they could save this if a female white walker looking a hell of a lot like the dragon queen was spotted in the distance” because there’s a legend about the 13th commander of the nights watch spotting a female white walker and loving her AFTER they had defeated the white walkers the first time. There’s a theory that says that female walker was once the lord commanders great love. I thought it would be awesome for them to repeat history/give a nod to a great theory
