Battling the Wicked Spotted Lanternflies - My Kinda Useless Pesticide Comparison Video (2023)

Since I wasn't really seeing any pesticides impact the number of lanternfly aphids we were seeing, I decided to do a sort of bake-off. I gathered some water bottles, caught a few bugs, and then dropped a little of each pesticide in. Here is the video.
Pesticides tested:
- Eight Insect Control (Liquid Concentrate)
- Gardentech Sevin Insect Killer (Liquid Concentrate)
- Amdro Quick Kill Insect Killer (Liquid Concentrate)
- Spectracide Triazicide Insect Killer (Liquid Concentrate)
- Ortho Bug-B-Gon Insect Killer (Granules)
- Ortho Bug-B-Gon Insect Killer (Liquid Hose Sprayer)
- Cutter Backyard Bug Control (Liquid Hose Sprayer)
- Bayer Advanced Complete Insect Killer (Liquid Concentrate)
- Harris Home Pest Control Spotted Lanternfly Killer (Liquid)
Results? Every product killed the bugs, except the granules. I think the test was flawed, though. These were mostly concentrates, so I should have mixed each with water to make it apples to apples.
I don't know if I'll post the other videos, but I then went around and sprayed the bugs with each, and then watched them wander around for up to 30 minutes before they each seemed to die.
