Thank you for that comment! Some people think that bugs come in because it’s dirty inside. Not true. They do look for a shelter from the weather in a lot of cases. For me, we’ve had lots of heavy rain this year, and the ants came in looking for food and shelter.

If you’re a spring in an area where there’s dishes yes you have to remove the dishes. If you’re only spraying in the bottom of the cabinets where they meet the floor, no.
It does, but if you live in a dense city or an area where there’s been a lot of use of pesticides it will not work. The cockroaches in those areas have build an immunity to it.

The ants are crawling in the top of my dinning table and I cleaned up but they are still coming if I spray ortho home defense insect killer indoor and outdoor around the house do you think it should be helping?
It should be helping. Do you know what type of ant is it? If they are carpenter ants, big and black, you will have to get terro granules outside of the house. I mention this at the end of the video. If they are small black ants Ortho shoul be taking care of them unless you have a large colony living inside the house. If you have a large colony and living next to our inside of the house, you will need to use Terro ant killer. Here’s the video I did. It is important that you find out where the ants are coming from or find a main area that they travel through to get to the table. m.ua-cam.com/video/RSuA8cqoFrU/v-deo.html&pp=ygUQdGVycm8gYW50IGtpbGxlcg%3D%3D
What happens if you live in apartment on the top floor ? Should I still worry about the outside in trying to find access points for the ants or should I just focus on the inside ? The only place we really get ants is the mater bedroom and we will get so much ants just for crumbs being on the floor not even food being left out, sometimes even napkins with food particles on it they will gather up in a group of a hundred which is crazy to me, I just bought some ortho today and plan on spraying the cracks underneath the base boards around the room
Great! If your apartment is higher than 3 stories, you might need to get Terro Ant Killer if Ortho doe not work by itself. If one of your neighbors has lots of ants you might have the problem of finding dead and live ants in your apt from the Ortho. If that happens, get terro to kill the Quin. @@frostflower5555 No ! My neighbors did not have ants, and even if they did honestly after buying that stuff and spraying it I haven’t seen any ants around 🙏🏽😁 so it worked for me !
You could, but you have to be very careful. You may want to wear protection and stay behind a spray. I would just recommend covering the corners and walls were the critters are crawling.
Yes. Spray after installing it. I would spray around the base of the door and on any edge or corners leading to the door. If you have ants, use Terro ant granules to stop them before they get to the house.
When you say not to apply this where pets and children play… do you mean when doing the application? My entire house is a spider hub so I would like to spray every room.
Sorry, for the late reply. You can spray. If you have carpet, I would only spray along the wall, two inches from the ground. For the spiders, try to figure out where they come in. If there are any windows, or if they’re coming through attic spaces or air vents. I would spray near those. Also, if you have a garage or door that leads to the backyard, I would spray below it. I personally don’t spray the carpet. The label says it’s safe to use in pet areas.
The product is safe as long as you apply it in areas where you will not come into contact. I have two young kids. The key is to spray in areas where they don’t play. Meaning, edges and borders of rooms. I stay away from areas where toddlers crawl. I don’t spay near toy storage containers. I stay away from door frames in their room. Inside the house, I spray on the wall edges but stop a foot or two away from door frames.
I would not spray the carpet directly. I spray it right on the wall edge and have it run down to where the carpet meets the wall. I don’t know if it stains The carpet. I have not noticed any stains or discoloration in the areas where he has come in contact with some of the carpet.
It should work on cockroaches, unless you live in an apartment complex where it has been treated with ortho before. German cockroaches tend to build a bee immunity.
Do you have any good recommendations on what would be good for indoor/outdoor, summer just hit here in the midwest. The amount of insect out here is crazy, my bf daughter is coming out for summer, she has a light breathing problem soo any recommendations?...
I am not an expert, but I have to kids and I’ve used pesticides for about five years. I do recommend the ortho because it’s liquid and he has the magic wand so you can control where it goes. Aerosols are terrible and they make me sick and have made my son sick. And his video I talk a little bit more about why it’s good and why I prefer to use it. m.ua-cam.com/video/jSwLPEhZO2M/v-deo.html You can also use terror and killer if you don’t want to spray anything. But the control bugs you must seal outside of your house, spray and also spray on the inside.
It depends on where you live. Outside, if it rains hard, the product looses some effectiveness. Inside the home, it theoends on heat and humidity. I go into detail in this short video m.ua-cam.com/video/jSwLPEhZO2M/v-deo.html
It works. If you live in Michigan or Minnesota, it will last longer. 5 to 8 months. In Texas or Florida, my experience is 3 to 6 months. Then you have to re-apply.
If it’s not pumping and no sound when you pull the trigger, check for a white or clear piece of plastic underneath the wand and pull it. Make sure the small square plastic lock underneath is switched to on. If it’s pumping and nothing is coming out: 1) make sure the flip nozzle is up and the pump connection is in all the way. You’ll hear a pop if you pushed it far enough 2) Check to see if your bottle top has an on or off along the lid. If it does, make sure it’s set to on 3) make sure the tip of your magic one is set to a spray with Let me know if you tried all of those. If it still does not work, let me know if the pump is pumping.
I'm having a major ant problem. I try spraying this stuff and it kills the ants, but the then the ants find a different place to go to. Does this spray spread? Like, would the ants spread this poison to other ants or no?
If you are in an apartment, you need to kill the colony. Use Terro ant killer. My video: m.ua-cam.com/video/RSuA8cqoFrU/v-deo.html It will take one to two weeks depending the colony size. IF they are carpenter ants and you live in a house, use Terro granules. I go over it at the end of the this video.

Thanks! I’m happy to help!
Is this safe with two young children?
The product is safe as long as you apply it in areas where you will not come into contact.
I have two young kids. The key is to spray in areas where they don’t play. Meaning, edges and borders of rooms. I stay away from areas where toddlers crawl. I don’t spay near toy storage containers. I stay away from door frames in their room.
Inside the house, I spray on the wall edges but stop a foot or two away from door frames.
Lol I just sprayed my house with shorts on and it got on my leg. Also I sprayed all the walls up to the windows height
Lol, I don’t think anything is going to survive a crawl up the wall!!!
Let me know how it worked out. Did you get any itching or numbness on your leg?
@@strategyandperformance no itching for me. But I wouldn't recommend for anyone to try it. We all have different skin reactions lol.
Is it safe spray on Carpet ? Will it smell bad? For Indoor
I would not spray the carpet directly. I spray it right on the wall edge and have it run down to where the carpet meets the wall.
I don’t know if it stains The carpet. I have not noticed any stains or discoloration in the areas where he has come in contact with some of the carpet.
@@strategyandperformance how about smell ?
I have not noticed any smells from the application in the kitchen or the areas where I have applied it (as described above) where I have carpet.
thank you for this video
How effective is it for cockroaches?I live in Canada. Feedback, & advice please & thank you!
It should work on cockroaches, unless you live in an apartment complex where it has been treated with ortho before. German cockroaches tend to build a bee immunity.
Great video. Super informative and helpful.
Glad it was helpful!
Thanks
I’m happy to help.

You can also use terror and killer if you don’t want to spray anything. But the control bugs you must seal outside of your house, spray and also spray on the inside.
Will this kill spiders?
Yes.
How long it last?
It depends on where you live. Outside, if it rains hard, the product looses some effectiveness. Inside the home, it theoends on heat and humidity.
I go into detail in this short video m.ua-cam.com/video/jSwLPEhZO2M/v-deo.html
@@strategyandperformance ehhhh so if it's warm inside it doesn't work or if it's cool ?
It works. If you live in Michigan or Minnesota, it will last longer. 5 to 8 months. In Texas or Florida, my experience is 3 to 6 months. Then you have to re-apply.
CAN YOU USE IN BEDROOM ON BASEBOARDS?
Yes you can!
I cannot get the wand to work I tried everything possible, pls help
If it’s not pumping and no sound when you pull the trigger, check for a white or clear piece of plastic underneath the wand and pull it.
Make sure the small square plastic lock underneath is switched to on.
If it’s pumping and nothing is coming out:
1) make sure the flip nozzle is up and the pump connection is in all the way. You’ll hear a pop if you pushed it far enough
2) Check to see if your bottle top has an on or off along the lid. If it does, make sure it’s set to on
3) make sure the tip of your magic one is set to a spray with
Let me know if you tried all of those. If it still does not work, let me know if the pump is pumping.
I have the pump nozzle and I'm having trouble removing the nozzle safety stay disc. Help
Sorry for the late reply, Did you figure it out?
I'm having a major ant problem. I try spraying this stuff and it kills the ants, but the then the ants find a different place to go to. Does this spray spread? Like, would the ants spread this poison to other ants or no?
If you are in an apartment, you need to kill the colony. Use Terro ant killer.
My video:
m.ua-cam.com/video/RSuA8cqoFrU/v-deo.html
It will take one to two weeks depending the colony size.
IF they are carpenter ants and you live in a house, use Terro granules. I go over it at the end of the this video.
Those Terro ant traps always work for me. Let them sit 4 or 5 days until there is no more ant activity and the colony is dead
Hey on first one how do you get nozzle n mine is nt like you're it's just plain one nothing 2 unfold help!!!!!
Sorry for the late reply. If you got rid of the bedbugs, let us know what you used that worked.
I have a mite infestation in my unfinished basement should I vacuum first, mop with bleach/Dawn dish soap “the basement floor is quite dirty from construction workers walking down there, then spray with the home defense max?
Did you ever find out If you should mop first or Spray? I was trying to find out
Can this work for roaches inside the house?
Works on reaches, but if they are German roaches and you live in an apartment building where they usually spray, they might be immune.
@@strategyandperformance what would be the best thing for roaches because they spray my apartment and I still see one here and there so I bought ortho and I still see one here and there
@@KEN11SIXboric acid
How do you clean up after
No clean up. You let the spray dry.
Thank you
Dude great video you earned a like and subscribed! 🎉 now I have a good excuse for my wife tonight. I can say "oh honey I should do it tomorrow and do outside first because it is dark now and it might work on the outside that way you don't even have to spray the inside haha
That’s Awesome Boss!!! Thank you!
Any advise on how long I should stay out of a basement after applying ? I turned on the house venting system and a few fans and an air purifier
It should take about 20 mins. If you are in a place with high humidity, about 40min.
Dope video
Awesome! Thank you!
Will this work on bees/wasps/hornets?
That is an awesome question! I don’t know. I’ll look at my bottle that I bought this year but for those I’ve always used wasp spray.
@@strategyandperformance follow up question. Can i spray this on my siding?
Yes! I spay it on mine. I do it in the lower boards and in the corners.
Mine won’t soray
You look like you identical to my dad, that’s crazy 😮😂
Everybody has a twin. I guess I’m your Dads twin! I would ask you how he looks like, but I guess there’s no need. 👍
Will this work for killing roaches besides the German roaches?
Yes.
Great review, have a like and a comment!
Awesome! Thank you so much for your support. I’m glad I was able to help!
Do i have to leave the house after? Because i Just spayed but im in the house
You don’t have to leave the house.
@@strategyandperformance thank you I thought ok maybe tomorrow I'll dead too🤭😂
@GestionDocumental-ko8lv 😂
Thank u so much! Any important pointers for doing this in a small RV? I also have a pet cat.
Thx!!
This kill all kinds of insects?
Most insects.
@@strategyandperformancethank you so much 🙏
pest pro here. home defense is .o5% active and talstar is 7.9, talstar is 6-8 weeks efficient. 12 months is a lie, it may work but its not honest marketing. even patrol, termidor etc don't work past 6-8 weeks. quarterly services leave all pro grade sprays in efficient for a month.
Thank you for your expertise. I agree with a 12 months, because I live in the north and it’s dry and cold up here. I sprayed in August indoors, and the following July I didn’t have any bugs. I did find one fresh dead ant which is why I figure the spray must have worked for 11 months.
