Yeah. Although there are some officers that just pull over bikes whenever they see them, write a bogus ticket, then don’t show up in court (so the ticket gets dropped, after wasting the rider’s time and energy repeatedly). I think it was AtA that covered one or two of these not too far back.
I’m guessing it’s just a bit of butt-hurt because they don’t have the physical prowess to ride a bike at this point. And I say that being someone who started riding a bike again in his 40s, at decently over 300 lbs, and rode ~1500km my first summer.

I have a Jeep Wrangler. The license plate is all the way to the left side by the taillight. The bicycles block the plate. No avoiding it. The bicycle tires are behind my lights also. Blocking my lights but not their function. They are spoke rims. You can see the lights through them. A cop tried to pull sh*t on me once. Get out of here. Then they always pull the bullshit. Any drug or weapons in the vehicle? Do your own fucking due diligence. When I get stopped which isn’t often. I hand the officer my license. My insurance card. And my concealed carry card. First thing they ask any weapons in the vehicle? I don’t have to tell you. If there is there is. None of their business. Go f*ck off.

No you don’t have to answer any questions! The only thing you are required to do is ID yourself, provide registration and insurance. Once you do that, you can shut up and remain quiet. Now they are not allowed to retaliate against you for using your right to remain silent but they absolutely will! They think you not answering questions, especially if you have any weapons, gives them the right to pull you out of the car and search it for “officer safety” but technically that is against the law! But they will always get away with it because judges will never go against their cops!

You can hear her tone change when she gets challenged on her illegal search. She goes from confident to a very unsure and hesitant "I'm allowed"
