Speaking of the campaign, I really wish they would add a reason to replay the campaign every season. Like maybe you get a resplendent spark(or 2?)for completing the campaign each season on your first character. Maybe you get a story themed cache at the end of each act. The caches can be different each act, or random like whispers. Either way, I'd love to play the campaign again, but just don't have the motivation to do so, given that it would slow me down tremendously at the start of the season. If anyone agrees, like this, and maybe OMG will pin it and Blizz might see it!
Hell, even transmogs or free MTX would be a sweet reward for completing the campaign. In that regard, it could be something to do at the end of the season, when you've made max levels, Master worked gear, etc and have nothing to do until next season. This is one of my biggest gripes with modern day blizzard. So many missed opportunities, that would add longevity and variety to the game.
I love those ideas. It would be cool. I can't pin it, I had to pin the launch date because I never mentioned it in my video, which I didn't catch until after the video launched. 👍👍Pls thumbs up👍 the comment above so more people see it, ty!👍👍
I know that streamers think that the paragon boards are to simplified now in the new paragon system, but tbh the old version was difficult enough for me were i ended up following build guides everytime , now the average player is able to create his own boards, i prefer this new system more, and will allow us to focus more on the new endgame activities coming in expansion, and i'm hearing that the new underworld dungeons in the new zone (kurast) will allow us to target farm specific items and specific stats on our gear which sounds really cool.
Gearing sounds like a breath of fresh air, not having to replace as soon as u climb a tier.... but at the same time it all seems daunting with the changes. I could be wrong, but im excited to hop in october 8th and see how it treats me lol
I think it will be fairly smooth, this is not the first time they have done this kinda thing...not just with d4 but d3, in different versions/expansions of Wow ect.
Most of the mechanics I covered, like 80%, are coming to the base game. Campaign, new region, Spirtborn, mercenaries, and raid dungeons require the expansion.
Lot of people are calling it a level nerf, TLDR it's NOT, 68 skills points is more than the 58 we had so how is it a nerf? 300 paragon points versus the 200 we had, How is it a nerf?
I was going to ask if we are still getting the 8 skill points from renown. If the renown goes away then we are only going to get 2 more points than we do now. I'm assuming that since no one has mentioned it, those 8 pts are going to stay. 10 more points sounds great! 4 will probably auto go into the ult though
Depends on the class, Sorcerors use as many boards as possible to get more glyphs to benefits them. Having access to flat stat bonuses and the occasional board power isn't as good as being able to access 8 separate glyphs abilities.
Technically it isn't a nerf but it sure feels that way going from 100 to 60. But again most people aren't concerned about the leveling. We're concerned about the item nerfa and the downgrade of item acquisition
In addition to all the things you discuss, I'm super excited about two small QoL changes -- city favoriting (i.e., never going to Gea Kul again!) and only having to open chest of mats once. I think UX folks tend to underestimate the impact of minor frustrations on player fatigue, so it's encouraging to see the devs make an effort to address the "trivial but infuriating" stuff.
A few things for me: Good- I can't wait to play a new class! The variety looks amazing currently. Good- The use of "New" words makes this expansion sound so exciting Good- I do like that all enemies are your level. Makes the overworld more challenging, I hate the fact I just one shot everything when running around currently. Bad- The rare drop rate of ancestral items. I understand the Ubers having a crazy low drop rate but the Ancestrals are a normal and needed progression. Bad- The way the glyphs level up taken directly from D3. Not a good way for those that have a hard time playing 10 or so levels above in the pit. Bad- The citadel needs a way to play as a single player. Some people love to play solo, have no friends or just hate trying to find someone to play with. Bad- Having Blues/Yellows still dropping in higher tiers. Most people will salvage everything come a certain level so why not just give us the materials instead. Bad- The armor/resists negative aspect each Torment lvl is understood but at max Tier they take all of it (-1000/ -100%). Seems like you have to add defenses and resists to all gear pieces and are unable to get much more powerful. Runes- There is enough good rune words. Looks like everything is only going to use two of them (war cry and petrify) Bad- Should have had 2 new classes to provide more variety instead of 1. I still looking forward to playing.
Having the exact same enemies constantly scale to you literally defeats the purpose of becoming stronger. If the enemies were differentiated in some way by power level(size ,aura, even one of those little skull things some games use)then maybe every tier wouldn't feel so boringly identical. As it currently stands the only thing that changes are some arbitrarily assigned numbers. How incredibly lazy is that?
@@thisishowthetruthdies684 You get to the same point after getting good gear. There's nothing stopping you from one-shotting everything after a certain point (usually 1-2 weeks if you already know how to play). There's no challenge. It's more interesting to navigate the world with a challenge, being able to die in a pack of mobs. Also, don't think it's that simplified with just "arbitrarily assigned numbers".
@@thisishowthetruthdies684I hate when enemies scale with me... This isn't an MMO if im max lvl and I'm.just running a round the open world then I should just be able to destroy everything. I also really don't like how we can't just have caps done and just get to T4... I have a feeling S6 is gonna suck and not be very fun. Hopefully I'm.wrong but I guess we shall see.
in the PTR I had a hard time to find ancestrals on last Torment difficulty...if this will be also the case after the expansion release, we will all be stuck for a long time on a build with regular legendaries, that can't even be masterworked like ancestrals can...
Yeah I don't like any of these changes to be honest I really hope a lot of this is changed. There is no reason they changed anything from S5... S5 is amazing and fun. These new changes seem unnecessary and kinda annoying I hope I'm wrong but guess we shall see.
The main disappointment about the Rune Words is that it looks like the most common variant will be the Druid Petrify and Barbarian War Cry ones. Every build that I saw from the PTR seemed to use those 2 only.
One video to rule them all lol loved the video. Great info. Glad I just had to watch one video instead of being drip fed each info in 15 different 10 minute videos :)
My biggest gripe now is the starting paragon is a waste of space/resources. I'd rather it is removed then we choose a total of 5 boards or they revamp the starting paragon board so that you can pick from a selection of starter boards. Example, A balanced starter board would be the one we have now. Others would lean more heavily toward one or more stats, for example: Strength is 50% or more of the attribute nodes Or Strength and Willpower make up 60% or more of the attribute nodes on a starting paragon board Or Strength, Willpower and Dexterity are the only attribute nodes on a starting paragon board So your various combinations would be 50% or more of single attribute starting boards Strength Intelligence Willpower Dexterity Three attribute only starting boards Strength, Intelligence, Willpower Strength, Willpower, Dexterity Strength, Intelligence, Dexterity Intelligence, Willpower, Dexterity And finally the 60% or more favored dual attribute starting boards Strength + Intelligence Strength + Willpower Strength + Dexterity Intelligence + Willpower Intelligence + Dexterity Willpower + Dexterity Now consider you cannot just start our with these additional starter boards, but you have to find them in quests or you can forge them somehow as a means of tempering your inner self. Anyhow, just some thoughts.
So i played the PTR and my biggest complaint is that loot drops seemee seriousky nerfed.. i was in torment 4 (whatever the new max world tier was) with a level 160 paragon and i was getting normal and magic gear drops on the regular.. like not a sporadic drop, almost every boss or nightmare dungeon i did i would get atleast one or two in the end loot. Now im not trying to whine about how i want it easier... but cmon.. im well into the end game at this point i shouldnt be getting drops like that
I would like to see that change, where they stop dropping gear I have equipped since level 10. People have mentioned that the ancestral drop rate was broken, I don't know by how much but that is most likely updating at launch
As someone who has just started with d4 the campaign thanks to the sale but plenty of experience in d3 and d2 and will dip my toes into the other parts once I’ve finished campaign the biggest thing I’ve noticed is one the map feels bigger but more empty. A lot of empty wasteland. The second biggest thing is my gold is not keeping up with my levels/gear. They need to tweak it. By the time I hit 30 I have to go grind dungeons and areas I’ve cleared already to get the gold for my potion upgrade etc. I’m no stranger to grinding that’s the nature of the game but yeah feels like gold dropping isn’t as common as in previous titles.
I can't tell you how nice it is to hear someone talk about this game, or even any game, without complaining about EVERYTHING no matter how good it is. It seems like it's how expert gamers, or whatever name people give them, show they are at the level of gamer they are but definitely not a green horn (AKA noob). It's kind of sad. You're allowed to like any game since that's the entire purpose. If I became a game designer I wouldn't last long. It's got to be infuriating that you work on a game like it's your baby for very long periods of time and taking into consideration what gamers say they want then proudly releasing it just to have a huge percentage of their audience, and arguably the most important, just takes a giant $hit on it. I feel for them.
Yeah, I've seen the same thing. I play games because I like games and I have a channel because I like helping others enjoy their game more. I'll cover bad stuff if it really bothers me, but I don't think that should be every video. This video in particular was to spotlight what I really liked and i did that. I do feel for the dev team they have been finally making things right and listening to the fans and I think they deserve a lot of credit for making this game so much better since launch. Thank you for watching and enjoying.
Love your videos - just subscribed. Just sorry I didn't find them earlier :) I seem to have hit a wall - got my barrage rogue to 100, have started masterworking but the pit and tier 4 hoardes are proving tough to get through. More videos to watch to figure out how to keep pushing through :) Keep up the great work !
I am glad I watched this as I was on the fence actually wanting to get the expansion. It didn't seem like it was going to be worth it with a mercenary, new class, and new area. But this is a lot more than I expected.
Nice, Diablo 4 has implemented horizontal progression. Makes sense 😃👍 Hope the developers will look close at GW2 and their horizontal progression. In GW2 HP works perfectly... 😌😏🥰
Just wanted to say I find your manner of speaking very pleasant. I don´t really care about the end game and all the big balance changes, but I´m definitely interested in the upcoming story content!
I hate leveling glyphs so the level 100 sounds like hell to me...on the other had...Merceneries and group raids is what I've been hoping for since release!
I hope they bring an action house ! + some how the ability of summon a storage room/salvage shop !wherever you are . I honestly wouldn’t mind to pay for that option … few dollars every month. Or VIP access
They need to buff the item drops from Torment Bosses, Pit and NM dungeons. In the PTR it was awful - just a few measly drops. And then we come to the bugbear - lack of good gear. Now, ancestrals mean nothing. Everything relies upon Ancestral Legendaries and Uniques WITH GA (greater affixes). Without GA you simply are gated from masterworking your gear past 4. And that seams to be just an awful decision from the team - and since it was in PTR, the team could change that.
Can't wait to play the new system, it was super cool on PTR, only thing they should get rid of ths2 normal, magic rare item how u progress level. Basically they have to change item power number. Like item power 100, white, 200 blue, 300 yellow and over 300 just legendary. A last ip 800 the ancestral. Something lihe this will be cool.
Great video. Changes along with the upcoming expansion have definitely caught my attention and address a lot of the issues the led me to walking away from the game originally. Might have to check it out after the patch drops and pick up the new expansion.
@@OwnModeGaming 11 months, originally bought it on Xbox, but built a PC in January and sold the console, which would require me buying another copy of the game, but with the state of the game as of when I quit playing and all the other game releases this past year, I couldn't justify it until now, plus the base game being on sale at the moment, doesn't hurt.
@Slaughter-Bunny its a very different game. I think in the last 6-8 months the dev team really started listening to player feedback and making changes that made a big difference. Also, they seemed to be adding new features a lot faster.
Im glad that ancestrals are rarer. I won't be glad when I constantly brick any upgrade I get that takes even longer to get. Also, they REALLY need to fix enchanting stat weights. Should not cost me over 1b in enchanting to get something I want. Or, in my case, spending billions in enchanting and still never getting it (I'm looking at you envenom)
Respec. Max 5 boards. Chose carefully. You can stack up main stats , crit and other things with new paragon boards. Damage gain is huge. Even without gear
Yes, you can. In seasons you can always choose to start with the campaign. I do wonder how the selection is going to look so that we can play the season, skip the original campaign, and start with the expansion campaign.
Most ppl dont seem to like the season 6 PTR according to videos you are one of the few that actually think it has been improved. hopefully it will be more fun :)
I think it really will be fun. A lot of creators have also done well complaining about parts of the game. It does create more conflict. From what I have seen, the coverage is mostly positive, unless the channel leans towards crapping on things.
Well be lvling minion necro as always and then play spiritborn. Always gotta start with necro first tho. Im not a big fan of the changes from what i heard but hopefully im wrong and theyre good. Cant wait for Oct. 8th.
The changes do feel really good. I leveled 7 characters from 1-60 in the PTR and it felt so much better. I'm also excited to have hordes back and see how they now fit in.
@@rockkiller124 I tried to go back through the campaign on hardcore and not having my extra 10 skill points and stuff from renown was crrrraaazy hard in comparison. I prefer a massive campaign. Replaying dungeons, pits, and helltides gets old fast. Equipment is for playing the game. The campaign should be the focus of play, not equipment. The campaign feels like a waste of time. 85-90% of gamers play solo.
They aren't focused on equipment and they should be. Gearbis what we hunt in rpg games. You want story go play adventure games. It's all story. They are focusing on mechanic and endgame should be about good gear and min-maxing stats!
I’m hoping for a good balance tbh. I’ve already heard people talk about speed running the campaign and trying to convince friends to do it with them. While the endgame grind is fun, I’m the type who likes to enjoy the story and art first. A lot of work goes into crafting beautiful architecture and it’s a shame that some will run past it and not take it all in.
@@juniorneal3456 If the full map were opened up in a dungeon and I could see the short cut to the next level, I would see it as knowing the path to clearing the level without having to backtrack. The problem is, there is not much excitement in the campaign. Add some of the excitement of the enhance endgame, like in helltides, and we would have a game worthy of being called a Diablo game. On the other hand, if you speed run, you will be challenged with higher level enemies.
I'm curious on the skill points. Live we have 48-58 depending on Renown. With the new level cap, is it now 68 skill points, assuming complete Renown? Or is it just 60 skill points, Renown points are effectively gone, we gained a whopping two skill points effectively, or...?
Do you have a video on stats? I got to level 100 and have all 925 power ancestrial legendary or unique tempered gear. tier 50 nightmare dungeons are easy so I upgraded to a tier 70 and died instantly. What stats do I need to survive?
as of the ptr you can play normal - hard and at a certain lvl you can unlock pentient, but i heard some streamers saying you should be able to move up to prentient quickly if your character can handle it so maybe this will change.
Can you gift it? Other than that if you're on PC you don't need a pass to get online access but if you are on a console you would need it. So, it at least removes that barrier for console players.
I never beat D4 vanilla but got it on my steam deck and am thinking of getting the expansion for steam deck but maybe for PS5 not sure yet. I just wanna play this new class as I only liked the Necromancer and the Sorcerer/Wizard. But I’m gonna start the new class at level 1 chapter 1 and I can’t wait to go through the game and find a team or at least 1 other player to hook up the mic and just go to town.
Nice, man! I hope you have a blast. I'm not sure on the deck vs PS5. I think it's mostly a matter how you like to play. I haven't tested the deck but I did try and like it on PS5.
No buddy! Magic Find is the worse. In Poe for example, if you want items and gears you need a Magic Find build. It’s a pain in the ass to switch around. People just want to blast and kill monsters as fast as humanly possible. Nobody got time for Magic Find builds. You know how much effort it takes to switch builds. Just stick to an op build and blast. That’s the point of the game. The way they have it now is just fine. Get that Magic Find shit outa here bro!
@@NoobMasterSSS Not everyone. My friends and I would prefer MF like in Diablo 2. Id rather MF items then never being able to beat a level 200 uber boss to get the best items. I’m a solo player.
@@SuperJByrd Well if ur dead set on being solo geta a good enough build to solo the uber bosses...Otherwise Get smart and get some friends. Play with people, Its why these games are ONLINE...in 2024...
I feel like I have to unlearn and relearn everything again fresh. Which is not a complaint more an observation as a player who recently got caught up with the current meta in Diablo 4.
Am I the only one that sees these changes making it more important than ever to play the current meta in order to fully progress your char? You will not be able to max glyphs unless you can progress through the harder pit levels , and that means more builds than ever will be redundant.
No, changes should allow More setups to do just fine and NOT have to Play some super niche meta build...which I hate anyway after s5. I am sure there will still be some broken super uber equipped crazyness as always but hell I want to go back doing my own thing and still be able to PLAY the game.
@@OwnModeGaming it’s nice that we get 100 extra paragon points to put into the nodes, we’re being limited by the reduced special nodes not available because of number of paragon boards, though once the update/patch players will be able to access how well it actually performs and if it’s to their liking lol
I seriously want a better way to dispose of weak drops other than running to an armorer. imho, the scarcity ramp has improved but one way they could make play smoother is to just offer a button to scrap for a lower benefit. When you have to leave 1GA and room full of "uniques" on the ground and reset a dungeon to clear it. Something is dysfunctional with the inventory. I left games like Pokemon Go because inventory overflow is more of an annoyance than anything else. I DO appreciate the comparison and range numbers in game. Also, besides dummies, we should get some "record" for damage in a restricted challenge area. I'm sure these are already being kept but are simply not exposed to the player. I'm very glad they lost the sacred gear. I never held onto it because I would jump capstones with housemate helping each other with our mains for alts. I do like the idea of mixing up rewards in dungeon types. Hope that trend continues. It's always fun to get something unexpected anywhere imho. More than one option should exist for an essential material.
The inventory does need an upgrade. It is definitely a rub point for enjoying the game. Sacred just were a weird game purgatory, they didn't really matter you are just waiting to get to the next area.
The super low ancestral's seemed to be a bug, but I did enjoy my gear not being obsolete right after getting to the next area. They could 5x or 10x ad I think it would still have the feeling I like. The leveling glyphs in the pit is better that NMDs that's what I am saying.
@@bradb7010 I get you for sure, I didn't think I was going to like it because I wasn't that excited to do more pits but the leveling system if far faster and it far more rewarding. It really doesn't feel like it did to level to 21. Leveling to 45 felt better than 21 and it was a giant jump in power.
Not allowing rifts (or the pit) before max level is stupid. The activities in the open world are dull after the 100th time, the randomization of rifts is needed
I've been playing for 2 years now and was invited to the very first beta it has grown alot, however i feel as if Blizzard takes 1 step forward and then 2 steps back. Despite the game being in a relatively good place, they have failed to adress the elephant in the room. Which i think most people have also missed. The actual loop to the end game. As it stands right now in the current game, once the player has reached the max level and completed the seasonal content and received a subpar gear, there is no reason to continue the grind. There just is no loop. There needs to be a resource sink and a long-term grind goal. Something that visually expands over the course of the season to provide a long term satisfaction to continue to play the game. Changing the max level and paragon i believe will rise up and create new problems in the long term. Infinite power tuneing is going to be a larger problem with this system, and the rise of one button builds has already been seen in the ptr, which indicates the larger rise towards meta builds and more difficulty levels. These issues in the long term will cause a significant amount of development time, which in the long term will hinder the progress of the game. This new rune system is a significant downgrade from the Diablo 2 system and will likely revert closer to that system in some way by the end of the year. The pit is not fun, and we will likely see a lot of changes for that this next year. Blizzard should have just made the damn loot filter that everyone has been asking for. It would have created more interesting opportunities for gear changes in the long term. Changes i would personally like to see are blue being able to get higher and rarer stats you can rarely get anywhere else in d2. There were quite a few potential blue items that are literally best in slots. Gloves with + all bow and cross bow skills, javelins with +6 javelin skills. It's super rare, but possible opportunities. Reduction in paragon points but far more options for paragon boards. More than one legendary node on a paragon board. The new paragon board and augments are going to 100 based on rng is a terrible plan. Think about how many times you're going to need to run the pit to max level 5 when it's all based on rng. If you get the level, im willing to bet 300+ runs of the pit. Return of 4 difficulties with an item that increases difficulty for the singular playet. The mind cage was perfect dont replace something that doesn't work it only further segregates the player base if im on. T1 and buddy are on t4 now. There is no reason to come play, and it will actually inhibit their progress in the long term.
I have a larger list of ideas that also should be changed as well, such as the over world, lack of community building, strong holds, etc. I ran 200 NM dungeons this season so far. They were taking me 1 1/2 min by the end at rank 100.
No, its still boring, because all changes do not affect the gaming itself. Instead, changes focus on itemization , crafting, enchanting etc while the game is still an endless grind with no purpose or meaning.
It is a completely different game. I would wait a couple of weeks for season 6 as the core the of the game is changing. They are making far better changes and actually listening to the player base, which was not happening at launch.
It is weird to me how many people do skip everything they can in the campaign. I hope you get to play soon. Moving to Europe that's pretty big, what took you out there?
@@OwnModeGaming jewelry but I’ll end up traveling all around the world if everything works out. I’ll need to have a custom PC built i can travel with… might not be able to have liquid cooling in the PC i take on trips with me but i love liquid cooling so i might see what i can make happen…
It is mostly determined by the difficulty level you start with. If you start with the bottom 2 it will be easy for most. If you try to jump to expert or penitent it will be far more difficult. So, it is completely up to you.
Every guardian is a real life totem inherited by indigenous people across the globe , the centipede doesn’t seem to fit in although indigenous people of cape York can have this totem passed down to them by a family member.
While there is a couple of improvements here but I'm not even a little excited about the new class from what I've seen of it and those Mercs just look goofy AF, and while the D3 companions weren't top tier in design, but at least they didn't look like concord rejects, while I'll probably play it but I'll wait for it to go on sell.
You are correct about the progress, sacred items were kind of indifferent because you knew that they were going to be replaced. You only care in the end when you start finding "permanent" items worth investng into. The others are just good enough to get by. World tier III was meaningless, it was a chore you had to do to get to the end. So I feel that this progression system makes way more sense and I can't wait to try it out.
Is the same thing as WT3, what are you talking about? In haft now there's like 5 extra WT3s that are just as worthless until you reach Torment 4. Loot drops sound awful. I really hope I'm wrong but the whole thing looks bad and this channel is the only one saying otherwise
@@atomicpsych0 you seem to forget that coming the exp, you need to finish the campaign before you can start the season, so you basically will unlock the difficulties along the path of the story, the thing is, they have not said if they are unlocked for all your other characters or you need to do it all over again like with world tiers with other characters, and either way, you need to do capstone dungeon every season, I do not see how bad it is to do these challenges if you were going to do them anyways, making it more linear. People just want to complain for the sake of it.
@@atomicpsych0 Nah dude it is bad and lots of these UA-cam channels are capping because they're partners or want to be in the partner program. People were asking for more ways to level glyphs so instead they just moved it to an equally boring system.
@deltazeros you're in denial, it's OK. I really enjoyed season 5 and am not excited for the changes. If you like them cool, but people's complaints are valid and you just gotta learn to cope
You know what? I'd rather a huge campaign with lots of complexity to it, which in the course of I have the chance to try interesting equipments. Etternally killing stuff in dungeons without end gets old.
Do remember that in the ptr we were only strong because of all the free shit that we got lol most players won’t even get that far to really enjoy the game before they get bored
I really didn't ask, but you do know a lot of d4 players didn't enjoy or even play POE. Just like many POE players didn't care to play D4. I personally enjoy both franchises and I'm going to play both.
I hate POE, I completely understand why some loves it, but It just don't click with me, some friends who have 5000+ hours tried to get me into it but it seems like false complexity, complexity for the sake of complexity, at least with D4 I have the atmosphere, lore, graphics and sound design that I love, even if the game have its flaws
Uhhh so they're remaking D4 endgame into D3 endgame 😂 I mean, I loved D3 so I'm not complaining, but I do find this funny. They already did bring back Greater Rifts last season, this feels like a continuation of that plan
Nmd still wont be pertinent unless they nerf infernal hordes into the dirt, which will once again make nmd irritating as our only viable source of some necessary progression items.
I started with whats on this build maxroll.gg/d4/planner/dw30s0s9#2 . You can also switch out familiar for frozen orb and add unique amulet Fractured Winterglass. To cast more. It is technically only 3 groups of head but I'm spamming like crazy.
The only thing I hate is their doing the same dam thing they did to wow to this game 100 down to lv 60 ....ive worked for weeks to get to lv 90 now im taking a break because if im already max level no point in getting to 100 lol
The new class is by far the best thing in the expansion almost everything else is questionable. Season 4 was good adding in PTRs was good I get the hype people are optimistic about the game it only took them a year to get there. However because the devs have been doing so much better a lot of people are alarmed by some of the changes such as another item overhaul only a few months after the last item rework. Also 85% of players play solo so there’s going to be some pushback on the mandatory group stuff. I’m just saying let’s not get our hopes up let’s just see how it goes. Again if most of it crashes and burns atleast we got a new class.
I understand where you are coming from, but why can't we be both excited and know that if it doesn't workout like we think, everything is going to be okay. I like getting excited about what is coming next and they have been doing a great job with the updates and really hearing what the players want.

I think you are spot on. There is still plenty of complexity if you want it. I also think that people will complain about changes no matter what.
Gearing sounds like a breath of fresh air, not having to replace as soon as u climb a tier.... but at the same time it all seems daunting with the changes. I could be wrong, but im excited to hop in october 8th and see how it treats me lol
It did feel nice! I'm excited too!
I think it will be fairly smooth, this is not the first time they have done this kinda thing...not just with d4 but d3, in different versions/expansions of Wow ect.
The need to get rid of all the doors in dungeons
100% agree!!!
God, yes please!
not only doors also stupid keys ,stupid berserker transformation of barbarian looks like scavenger
Nah just make them
1 Open automatically without blocking the player
2 Give HP to the doors so we can blast them with any spells in one hit
Lol you slacker yeah cos pressing space bar is so tough lol
What if we dont buy the expansion, can we still access the new skills or items, for instance?
Most of the mechanics I covered, like 80%, are coming to the base game. Campaign, new region, Spirtborn, mercenaries, and raid dungeons require the expansion.
Lot of people are calling it a level nerf, TLDR it's NOT, 68 skills points is more than the 58 we had so how is it a nerf? 300 paragon points versus the 200 we had, How is it a nerf?
I totally agree it is not a nerf at all.
Those are great. The devs definitely seem to be listening and making a lot of great changes.
also:
- NMD unlock at level 10
- finishing a stronghold will earn you more exp than any other activity
Excellent overview of what's coming with Vessel! Thank you!
You are so welcome!
A few things for me:
Good- I can't wait to play a new class! The variety looks amazing currently.
Good- The use of "New" words makes this expansion sound so exciting
Good- I do like that all enemies are your level.
Looks like everything is only going to use two of them (war cry and petrify)
Bad- Should have had 2 new classes to provide more variety instead of 1.
I feel this season is gonna suck... S5 was fine nothing needed to be changed.. All these changes in s6 r unnecessary.
@@subzero308 it's definitely going to suck you're right wish I didn't preorder it:(
in the PTR I had a hard time to find ancestrals on last Torment difficulty...if this will be also the case after the expansion release, we will all be stuck for a long time on a build with regular legendaries, that can't even be masterworked like ancestrals can...
I think they will need to increase the drop rate for sure, especially for torment 3 and 4.
the lack of ancestrals dropping in the higher torment levels was a glitch that will be fixed at expansions launch
@@OwnModeGaming it was a glitch they said will be fixed at expansions launch
There was a bug where torment tiers were not scaling ancestral drops at all. So even on torment 4 you still had torment 1 drop rates
I'm seeing the same, but I do now want to play D2R.
Yea these aren't rune words it's just putting two random runes in your gear 😂
@@vaanian6610 Rune Syllables!
I do like how they are giving a party finder aspect in the game which is great to see. While I do enjoy solo content it is nice to have the option.
That is going to be nice, it was one of the few things I missed from diablo immortal.
Spiritborne class looks like a lot of fun, can't wait to play it!!
I'm pretty excited, too! It's going to be awesome!
One video to rule them all
lol loved the video. Great info. Glad I just had to watch one video instead of being drip fed each info in 15 different 10 minute videos :)
Thank you that mean a lot!
My biggest gripe now is the starting paragon is a waste of space/resources. I'd rather it is removed then we choose a total of 5 boards or they revamp the starting paragon board so that you can pick from a selection of starter boards.
Example, A balanced starter board would be the one we have now.
Others would lean more heavily toward one or more stats, for example:
Strength is 50% or more of the attribute nodes
Or
Strength and Willpower make up 60% or more of the attribute nodes on a starting paragon board
Or
Strength, Willpower and Dexterity are the only attribute nodes on a starting paragon board
So your various combinations would be
50% or more of single attribute starting boards
Strength
Intelligence
Willpower
Dexterity
Three attribute only starting boards
Strength, Intelligence, Willpower
Strength, Willpower, Dexterity
Strength, Intelligence, Dexterity
Intelligence, Willpower, Dexterity
And finally the 60% or more favored dual attribute starting boards
Strength + Intelligence
Strength + Willpower
Strength + Dexterity
Intelligence + Willpower
Intelligence + Dexterity
Willpower + Dexterity
Now consider you cannot just start our with these additional starter boards, but you have to find them in quests or you can forge them somehow as a means of tempering your inner self.
Anyhow, just some thoughts.
That's pretty cool. I could see that working. Even if they just gave us options on the starter board that would be awesome!
The group finder gonna be nice.
I hope so, the fact that everyone had to use trade chat to find groups is odd.
Your positivity is refreshing. Thank you for the video! Also, I'm excited about the infinite hydras! Lol
Thank you and you are so welcome! The Hydras were a blast. Such a fund build.
Thanks for the clear and concise explanations!
You are so welcome!
I wish there was a way to accumulate more skill points while also gaining paragon levels to further enhance the build
We are getting 10 more skill points and we will be getting a lot more paragons points as we level.
This game deserves nothing but a dirty fat shjt on it!
I agree.
It’s the quality of content that comes out for more money now, it’s not even close to the type of content that use to come out.
Welcome aboard and thank you so much!
I am so giddy listening to your hype for the expansion. I cannot wait to play the new class~!!!!
Awesome! The class looks so good!
I am glad I watched this as I was on the fence actually wanting to get the expansion. It didn't seem like it was going to be worth it with a mercenary, new class, and new area. But this is a lot more than I expected.
I think it's going to be pretty cool. I'm pretty stoked.
Nice, Diablo 4 has implemented horizontal progression. Makes sense 😃👍
Hope the developers will look close at GW2 and their horizontal progression. In GW2 HP works perfectly... 😌😏🥰
Yeah, I think it's a good direction for the game.
Cant wait to get my first 5 peices of GA gear to have life per sec, impairment reduction, and overpower damage.😂
That will most likely happen 😉
Just wanted to say I find your manner of speaking very pleasant.
I don´t really care about the end game and all the big balance changes, but I´m definitely interested in the upcoming story content!
Thank you, that's super kind. I'm definitely most excited about the story.
A week away from launch i pondered this, and I know blizzard is going to knock it out the park. Thanks PTR🎉🎉
They are like a different team compared to launch, a year ago, and they are getting it done for sure.
I hate leveling glyphs so the level 100 sounds like hell to me...on the other had...Merceneries and group raids is what I've been hoping for since release!
It felt better in the PTR but we'll see how the glyph leveling feels pretty soon. The Mercs and raids look pretty cool.
Nice video, sadly D4 gameplay just does not hook me and all the zones and areas just look the same in the base game, not sure i will hop in.
Fair enough!
Heck yeah I wanted a bigger challenge. Super excited for the higher tiers!
Awesome! They also hinted at expanding the torment levels in the future.
I hope they bring an action house ! + some how the ability of summon a storage room/salvage shop !wherever you are . I honestly wouldn’t mind to pay for that option … few dollars every month. Or VIP access
I would like that a lot. I don't the balance is for storage but it seems like we should have way more space.
Obol vendor when rewarding ancestrals would also give them with GAs.
All ancestrals will always roll with a GA.
@@OwnModeGaming Good to know. Was having better luck gambling than finding them from the bosses and Pit.
The new system feels good. That could be cool.
Thank you great job : )
Glad you liked it!
Maybe I missed it but will they add build loadouts?
I don't think so but they may surprise us on the fireside chat.
Great video. Changes along with the upcoming expansion have definitely caught my attention and address a lot of the issues the led me to walking away from the game originally. Might have to check it out after the patch drops and pick up the new expansion.
Thank you. How long has it been since you played?
You are 100% right. Those are the worst parts of the current system. I hope they change soon.
any idea what they are gonna do with existing characters as far as paragon boards if u have builds w more than 5 boards?
I'm assume a reset where they despec and you need to respec into the new paragon board, but i'm not completely positive.
Respec. Max 5 boards. Chose carefully. You can stack up main stats , crit and other things with new paragon boards.
Damage gain is huge. Even without gear
so they added GRs to D4 in the form of The Pit? That's pretty cool
Yup!
If the new season starts on the day of the expansion can I start a seasonal character and play the new campaign?

Diablo l, ll, and lll had lengthy campaigns. I guess you've never played them.
It’s so stupid to me that you can’t replay the storyline unless you create a new character.
It's going to be 68 with Renown bonus. Renown only for people just starting.
Thanks, that's good to know. 🍺
The bonus points from renown and alters of Lilith are still there and I expect we be getting some more from the expansion zone.
Do you have a video on stats? I got to level 100 and have all 925 power ancestrial legendary or unique tempered gear. tier 50 nightmare dungeons are easy so I upgraded to a tier 70 and died instantly. What stats do I need to survive?
I don't specifically, but I do have some that cover defensive stats in them. I'll have to track them down and get them to you.
Can you make a video for returning players? I am returning after season 2 and I’m a bit lost…
That's a great idea!

as of the ptr you can play normal - hard and at a certain lvl you can unlock pentient, but i heard some streamers saying you should be able to move up to prentient quickly if your character can handle it so maybe this will change.
@@dragon_dyce thx a lot!👍

The difficulties are unlocked at certain levels. Penitent is opened at 50.
I hope we can still skip campaign cause if not I'm done with the game.. S5 was amazing s6 seems likes its gonna suck tho sadly.
hi what's the point for giving 1 month pass for Xbox if we only play on pc ??
Can you gift it? Other than that if you're on PC you don't need a pass to get online access but if you are on a console you would need it. So, it at least removes that barrier for console players.
Omg Group Finder! Finally!!!!!
@@OwnModeGaming I own it for both but I’m just wondering which will be the best to play on cause my friends list is bare on both systems.

I’d like to see them add magic find and add % to MF on items. So I can find gear anywhere and not just off bosses.
I'm down for that. That would be cool.

Mercinaries will likely only be for solo play, because having everyone in a group allowed their mercinary would be extra broken.
Prema merc is solo only but the other call in one is group.
I actually have no idea what they are going to do with that.
No it wouldn't it would be fun af.. I'm a minion necro main and having extra "minions" is a dream lol.
For sure feels like they realized a lot of people enjoyed a lot of D3 systems compared to what they originally had in D$
Yeah, they were so fixated on creating something completely new they ignored the best what has been done.
I feel like I have to unlearn and relearn everything again fresh. Which is not a complaint more an observation as a player who recently got caught up with the current meta in Diablo 4.
It is pretty different, but still feels very D4. If you are playing current meta you will take to it quickly.
Am I the only one that sees these changes making it more important than ever to play the current meta in order to fully progress your char? You will not be able to max glyphs unless you can progress through the harder pit levels , and that means more builds than ever will be redundant.
I'm not sure that I understand. You can play at lower efficiencies by lowering Torment Level but you are dropping the same gear.
Yup
No, changes should allow More setups to do just fine and NOT have to Play some super niche meta build...which I hate anyway after s5. I am sure there will still be some broken super uber equipped crazyness as always but hell I want to go back doing my own thing and still be able to PLAY the game.
Thanks for the review very helpful. Dad gamer here.
You are so welcome! I'm glad you liked it.
I am a little saddened by the reduced paragon boards limit from 7 to 5…
It works out pretty well.
Yeah I'm so excited to grind for a 1% chance to get a ancestral 😐....so much fun to play the pits to level up my paragon.
The super low ancestral's seemed to be a bug, but I did enjoy my gear not being obsolete right after getting to the next area. They could 5x or 10x ad I think it would still have the feeling I like. The leveling glyphs in the pit is better that NMDs that's what I am saying.
@@OwnModeGaming its 79 more glyph levels tho. 21 is too many
@@bradb7010 I get you for sure, I didn't think I was going to like it because I wasn't that excited to do more pits but the leveling system if far faster and it far more rewarding. It really doesn't feel like it did to level to 21. Leveling to 45 felt better than 21 and it was a giant jump in power.
Not allowing rifts (or the pit) before max level is stupid. The activities in the open world are dull after the 100th time, the randomization of rifts is needed
Looks like there will be new mechanics you can run to level. At least with the expansion.
What about still ongoing bug with 222 paragon only points available instead of 225?
I really don't know. I'm sure it will be fixed on release.
what about the market? i thought theres a new mechanic on how you sell stuff
I'm not sure. There were no clear changes to it in the PTR. It would be nice if they did.
Played D4 for about a month at launch but got bored and haven’t played since. Can someone tell me if the game is improved since then
No, its still boring, because all changes do not affect the gaming itself.
I never skip the campaign in Diablo 4… I’m so sad I can’t play D4 until I get my PC delivered to my new place because I moved from America to Europe…
I asked someone that works on the game they said we can jump to expansion but will we be weak or powerful
That's really cool. I didn't know that.
I think, they should have altered the Druid to be able to do this, and give everyone the paladin they keep asking for…
I would love to see the Paladin too but this seems like a pretty cool class.
Do we have to get a few more alters of lilith from the new region? Hopefully they dont reset them all, or worse, remove the whole system.
I really hope not!
Nice job ty.
Thank you!
Since it's an ARPG, i skipped through all the story and cinematics because tbh.. there's no secret where to go and what to do.
It's not about know where to go it's about enjoy the lore. Not that everybody has to, but it does add to the game for me.
Okay
A game so good- when they make changes they have streamers play the season first to tell you about it
It was an open Public Test Realm anyone could have played.
It does make more sense and it feels really solid.
Some of these people are saying "Nightmare Dungeons are fun now!" Like how? They didnt change anything about them other than removed glyph exp and added masterworking mats. People were asking for more ways to level glyphs so instead they just moved it to an equally boring system.
@deltazeros you're in denial, it's OK. I really enjoyed season 5 and am not excited for the changes. If you like them cool, but people's complaints are valid and you just gotta learn to cope
Not really selling season 5 that great for me….seems like it will become the same old thing once you become stronger.
I want to know why 6 seasons in and we still don't have loadouts!
come on blizzard...get it done
That would be amazing and needed.
Nerfing in a predominantly non pvp game is fucking silly IMO.
Diablo III 2.0
Diablo II 3.0
You know what? I'd rather a huge campaign with lots of complexity to it, which in the course of I have the chance to try interesting equipments. Etternally killing stuff in dungeons without end gets old.
Do you mean more like a D2 or POE non skippable campaigns?
Do remember that in the ptr we were only strong because of all the free shit that we got lol most players won’t even get that far to really enjoy the game before they get bored
I leveled 7 times to 60 without any boost and then I played with the boost. I was most interested in the actual leveling experience.
May someone tell me when all of this is going to start? 😊
No problem, it is launching October 8th.
@@OwnModeGaming Thank you 😊
Good job my friend 😊
Thank you! 🙏
D4 got 30 days to live after the expansion lands, then all will jump ship, why you ask? Because November the 10 POE2 is coming out.
Uhhh so they're remaking D4 endgame into D3 endgame 😂
I mean, I loved D3 so I'm not complaining, but I do find this funny. They already did bring back Greater Rifts last season, this feels like a continuation of that plan
They definitely are. I agree, I like d3 a lot! They are also bringing in top things from d2r as well.
The Pit is lame because its locked to the highest level, whats the point? I used to run them to level up
Nmd still wont be pertinent unless they nerf infernal hordes into the dirt, which will once again make nmd irritating as our only viable source of some necessary progression items.
That would be true, if they do that.
And, how the hell is he dropping 6 hydra heads like that man?
I started with whats on this build maxroll.gg/d4/planner/dw30s0s9#2 . You can also switch out familiar for frozen orb and add unique amulet Fractured Winterglass. To cast more. It is technically only 3 groups of head but I'm spamming like crazy.
"So much here that completely changes the game". Incredible.
The only thing I hate is their doing the same dam thing they did to wow to this game 100 down to lv 60 ....ive worked for weeks to get to lv 90 now im taking a break because if im already max level no point in getting to 100 lol
I don't know what the changes look like in eternal. I don't know how they are going to treat existing characters.
If they do it like WoW then you won't be 60, but 50ish
“In game dating app” had me dying
I'm glad you liked it.
