Do you have video on master working and tempering for noobs?
You can only masterwork regular legendary items and non-ancestral uniques to 8/12. You can usually tell these items apart by the white translucent border around it. However the easiest way to know if you have an ancestral legendary is by the item power. Any thing under 800 is non-ancestral. Also you can’t begin masterworking any item legendary or ancestral without applying both of your tempers first. You don’t have to use all your temper chances but you do have to at least do your first two. Unique items can be immediately masterworked because you can’t apply tempers to them. I would in most cases. The direct DMG does well in early game but as the build gets more complex it really ends up being less and less valuable than other damage types, like crit or dmg increase for particular skills. What type of build are you running?
@@OwnModeGaming Double swing/charge/dust devil build. Mainly focusing on vulnerability but I have a metric buttload of overpower damage that im trying to bake in a little more. Most gear has strength, max life, and damage. Tempering in dust devil size and damage. And trying to pump up fortify with all the buffs and debuffs. Does lucky hit have any chances at overpower?
Thanks alot I’m in torment 2. My attack power is only 2500 and I thought something was wrong with my blood but i can easily do torment 2 content. I thought attack power was = to damage. I’m newbie to this game
Prior seasons high attack power would get you into end game much easier . Its just much easier to math out a better plan . I use guides on builds to figure out HOW they get their numbers then adjust it . For example Hammer of Ancient Barba were amazing, however with some brains Deathblow was FAR FAR better and hit 20x harder but wasn't "top" build because it was slower , 1 shotting everything in a 4 man group is better than turbo bonking waves 😂 Experiment, enjoy !
Ps last season i could reach 170k attack power 😂 was stupid high yo scale poison damage , kinda butts for crit damage but 10 billion poison ticks were worth it 😂
@@DarkepyonX Is a potency what makes the poison damage better because I was wanting to run the dance of knives poison build but everyone said that the cold imbuement and shadow imbument were better I remember when a game first came out and for a while poison abumement was boss for bosses no point intended lol
Sadly this season is the worst season the games ever had with season 1 a close second ironically lol... But atleast the DLC is fun hope ur having fun atleast.
No, but some builds really struggle in the late endgame. I played every class into endgame and the only one I didn't like was the druid. It just really struggled comparatively. I always recommend playing the way that you find fun. Some have to play the op builds to have fun but if you are one of those that has fun experimenting or playing a certain class then do that.
With runes and tempers there is actually alot you can do . Build guides don't mean much in terms of power . Season 3-5 the bleed barb was best setup , whirlwind is trash , while not as fast it was easier to build and the build guides require you to also play a specific way . I ALWAYS play with 1-3 others with 1 being couch co-op and Druid as the tank in a duo for example allows player 2-4 to build straight up offense, no defensive abilities needed, this allows FAR more options . This season our lead team is me (Spiritborn gorilla) , Bleed Barb , Poison Rogue , Tank druid . We been in Torment 4 since Para 25 . The ball lightning sorc was viable from beta to S5 , every class is endgame capable and smart group play enhances that . Druid with runes belting out shouts is an ideal team tank .
I go glyph over legendary unless the legendary is game changing for my build. For most builds there is usually one or two legendaries that meet that requirement.
My attack power is high, but current build will more likely have about 15-20k health with max armor and resistance. With my shield stacks and high attack power, that 15-20k hp won’t matter too much lol. Sometimes high attack power can work. But I still agree with the video overall.
Yeah, there is just a big variable if you try to use the attack power to determine your actual power that makes it almost worthless. They need to figure out a better way of giving a number that can represent how powerful you actually are.
I have a question about glyph leveling from the pit. I have noticed that a lot of times after you complete a run and you get 4 glyph points to level. Oftentimes, the glyphs will not always level. It just burns the points up. Can you explain why? Because it's a lot of grinding not to level up the glyphs, especially the ones you are using.
So unfortunately for whatever reason they decided this season to make glyph levels have a % change to level it... Say my glyph is 45 and I'm running a pit 46 it will only have a 70% chance to level (stupid af I know) but if ur running I think pits 4-5 levels higher maybe 3 levels higher u will have 100% chance to level the glyph... I had to find this out myself and its annoying. A lot of unnecessary changes this season sadly... Hope this helps maybe someone can explain it better but if u got it awesome.
If you're running a pit at least 10 lvls above the glyph lvl you get 100% upgrade chance, at least 20lvl above 2 upgrades, at least 30lvls = 3 upgrades up to a max of 4 upgrades.
As the level of the pit gets close to the level of the glyph you will see the percentage chance of success drop. So, you do need to keep pushing the level of the pit if you can.
Drops are random. First week I got 2 pieces, last week none. So yes you can grind. My personal taste the cosmetics are Fugly. I only do Dark Citadel mainly to get the hang of it so it becomes easy if you're not playing Spiritborn Quill Build, and then T4 for the nice mount. Also, on Torment 4 it's where we should be (I'm on T3 at the moment, too easy for T4 I can survive 100% but I still don't do enough damage. You'll get a mount on T4 as well, but now until Nov 5 I believe even T1 Clear should give you a white mount..
Same here as other has comented that I have no idea about the incense that can be stacked and attack power. I thought the higher the attack power, the strongest kill. Thank you so much. I'm a casual player and this is my first quil valley spiritborn character which I learned how to build it from many sources such as Raxx, Maxroll, you, of course, and others. I have issue with Upgrade Glyph because the Succes Chance is 10% or less. I'm still at pit 52 torment 2 (struggling). I know I'm using wrong gears and mapped/tampered incorrectly for this character. First thing first, how can I have the Success Chance bump up to 100% as I see it in your video? Since my Success Chance is 10% or less, I keep Failed to upgrade (all 3, 4 points). What did I do wrong? This character sux because at 60 (235), I can't defeat Hatred of Lilith :(
The success chance is based on how much higher your pit level is vs the level of the glyph. I wouldn't worry about Lilith until you are crushing in T4. You really need to get that gear tempered right and hopefully ancestral. If you are missing uniques that are required for the build I would hunt those down either by gambling or bossing. Do Helltides chests and the maiden to get more gear drops. If you are following guides on maxroll make sure you are looking at the endgame variations and gearing to the right one. The start variation only uses legendary, then the next one is built around getting the right uniques and the final is with mythic. The unique build should get you to t4. If you don't have the right uniques stick with the starter. Hopefully that helps. Let me know if you have any more questions, I'm glad to help.
@@OwnModeGaming I see. Since my kill is low and slow, I don't there is a point for me to continue doing the pit level 52. I did 3 runs yesterday and I can only update 1 out of 12. Yes disappointed. Yes, I do have legendary and unique. Luckily, I found Rod of Kepeleke, but 750 only, not 800. I've maxed out 8/8. Even it has lower attack power, but it kills quicker than my legendary. I wished I could attach screenshots to show you my gears. One question: My armor has +5 concussive stomp, but this skill is not assigned and never selected. Do I get any benefit out of it. The same goes to Counter Attack which was turned on, but never assigned. Here's my skill assignment: Scourge (q), Ravager (w), Vortex (e), The Hunter (r), Quill Valley (right mouse), Armored Hide (right mouse). I have a feeling I messed up on skill assignments or selection. Please help. Thanks.
@@EddySoeparmin some times the bonus skills can help even if they aren't on your bar, but they need to be triggered by some other skill. If you haven't put skill points or are using an aspect that triggers the skill those are wasted points into concussive and counter.
The chance for a drop is the same at every torment level. There is just more items dropped on boss kills in the higher torment levels. Drop rate chance does not change with different torments.
I see what you mean but it does go up, if you look at information for each torment level it actually tells you that it does. The drop rates for ancestral and mythics keep increasing and so do a bunch of other things like certain types of mats or runes, and even tributes.
It just means more of them. More items drop, but the chances for ancestral, mythics etc are the same. You could make the argument that more drops = more potential rolls at something you want, though.
I did this and it didn't show that I had all the incense going. I did one incense and the other went away. Can you still use antivenin with other elixir? I am struggling completing level 40 pit. I think i need to work on getting better gear maybe. Idk
If the incense is the same type it will replace. You need to make sure you are only running one from Type I, one from Type II, and one from Type III. The antivenin is no longer a thing but opals from the realm walker and season chests do stack for extra experience. I would then just focus on hordes, they give good xp, decent gear, and masterworking material, which all should help you push the pit.
Thanks for the tip on the hordes, I can't increase my glyphs without going higher on the pit that helps. I did the different levels of incense but will try again. Love your videos!!!
@@Redridge07 yeah, but you can take them any other Helltides area and use them during the same Helltides. There is always 2 areas running Helltides, right next to each other and sometimes even 3. I hit the big chest for every area then I pick up the smaller chests.
@@OwnModeGaming And yet, I can get massively more Obducite from Hordes than NMDs. The only thing I've found good about NMD is getting the XP well... then once I activate the well, I'll jump to running Hordes for the Obducite.
So. I have a build that requires 240 vigor apparently, but i have no idea how to increase my max vigor. I have a couple pieces of gear that boosts it, but im still only like 150. Does anyone have any tips for me that im missing?
I didnt watch the video. I wrote a text about how you can easily extrapolate dmg increases with tooltips and your details information, but half way through I realized that most probably didnt study mathematics for a reason. Basically it is an extrapolation using your characters details and the skills tooltip increments..do not use your Attackpower, when I play Incinerate right now for example I can double my attackpower with rerolling Life for +DMG on my 2h staff (from 5000 to 10000 attackpower in town and from 70000 to 140000 attackpower fullbuffed in combat) and my dmg increase is below 5% (as stated on the skilltrees tooltip of incinerate in the skilltree comparing the number on the tooltip with 5k attackpower vs the number with 10k attackpower)
There’s an aspect that buffs damage by 30% of your max Armor, up to 1500 more damage (so armor above 4500 stops helping). The more armor, the more raw damage
@@rog1046nope, aspects of unyielding hits: “Casting a Gorilla Skill increases your Weapon Damage by [10-30]% of your Armor for 3 seconds. Maximum 1,500 bonus Weapon Damage.”
Whats wild is my Attack power is almost 45k to 50k when buffed on my Rogue But I cant get through Pit 65. I destroy T3 but Idk where I'm going wrong my crit dmg is 1100 Vuln bout 900 ect. Yet im not even doing 2mil dmg.
You probably ran into this already with incenses; they do NOT always appear for everyone in the group. I ran in to this many many times. Just another one of many many bugs in this game.
Why isnt blizzard giving us a fullblown physicist style logarithmic scale for critnumbers? 18 = number with 18 zeros, For example. Clean and effective.
218 level ls dorc and im at a pinch point where i need a decent mythic or aspect to be able to push pit for glyphs and paragon but cant do the bosses quiet yet because i dont have the paragons, glyphs and mythics . They need to sort the aspects out and also include another way to level glyphs, having below 70% to put it up doesnt work!😢
I would switch over to gear hunting and masterworking by running the Hordes or even NMDs. In general, whenever one source of power gain isn't working I just switch something else.
Halloween free gifts just for logging in the game from Oct 29-30-31 and Nov 1 guys! Enjoy! Horse with Trophy and Armor, plus Spider back cosmetic (my sis won't use this one lol)
wtf, more that 1kk of dmg.. I'm struggling with my sorc ice shard build but the max I see after new patch arrived is 3-4M of crit damage. Love playing this build but looks like I'll have to switch to something way too popular:(
I'm testing all the classes right now and it is tough not playing the most op builds or not playing spirit borne. Fireball sorc was a lot of fun and it wasn't hard to get it to t4 level.
Have you tried the crushing hand or payback builds those are also good. I would check out maxrolls list here 👇 if you need more options: maxroll.gg/d4/tierlists/endgame-tier-list

Also i dont like running groups, its too fast for me, i dont load in as fast and my first group booted me after 3 or 4 pits no explaination at the start of a pit, and i hadnt died once, looked like they were carrying another guy lower rhen me, so it was hard to do damage to oacks, but i didnt die so that was horrible thing to do, i dont like people lol. We have 1 friend weve played with met in season 4 but other then that only group with rl friends.. so terrified at doing the dungeons as i dont know what im doing I'll defo get booted 😂 waiting unil i have some decent power, which is taking dorever on sorc aka not a spirit borne lol
The load in thing sucks for sure. Groups are very hit or miss. I noticed even just saying hi and asking them how they are doing makes them more forgiving. Also, If you throw your battle.net handle in the comments, I'll connect with you in game so I can help you with those citadel runs. Just make sure I'm tagged in the comment.
@ I just do not understand how it works. Why I keep getting one shot. I get one stop when I have 9k armor and like 45k damage with like 1000 life. But now I have like 7k like and like 15k damage I am not dying
So, your problem is probably with too much armor, you get no increased benefit past 1000 unless you are running a build that gives some other benefit for how many points of armor you have. I would also check my resistances and make sure they are maxed if you can. So ultimately you can remove rolls of armor and put them to either more life or needed resistances if you want to limit one shots.
@ thanks for responding and for the info. I had no idea of how armor works in this game. I just found out that barrier is what keeps most of these builds alive What perks is the one that had stone runes circling them?

Love the content! Massive help...
Thanks, man! I appreciate it!
So, I have damage rolled on a lot of my gear for a Barbarian. Should I start focusing on different specs over just overall damage?
For example Hammer of Ancient Barba were amazing, however with some brains Deathblow was FAR FAR better and hit 20x harder but wasn't "top" build because it was slower , 1 shotting everything in a 4 man group is better than turbo bonking waves 😂
Experiment, enjoy !
You're welcome. A lot of people make that mistake with the attack power.
Do I have to run the same quill build or can I just make a build I like having fun with
No, but some builds really struggle in the late endgame. I played every class into endgame and the only one I didn't like was the druid. It just really struggled comparatively. I always recommend playing the way that you find fun. Some have to play the op builds to have fun but if you are one of those that has fun experimenting or playing a certain class then do that.
my tip...dont use druid
That might be a solid tip. I have 2 more to level before I try Druid.
😂😂
Blasphemy, heresy!!! Long live Druid Mains!!!
So true, what I do with my NB I could never do with my Druid 😭
Im having trouble finding mythics. Does mythics drop in T2 at all?
It's a very low drop rate, even in t4. T2 would take some time.
Got my 3 on t1 but took hundreds of hours lol
Hello. I am new to playing diablo 4 and I just want to ask what are those that surround you like slabs with markings and how do I get those? Thanks
Thats the rune that give you bulwark
Thank you!
Finally got the QUE rune. What would be the ideal pair for it?
@@Tigerclaw1972 Totally depends on your build. Whatever triggers is often enough to be almost always up.
Funny how I was looking for it yesterday the whole day and I got 2 like an hour apart of playing. Thank you again!
Great upload, thanks for sharing. +1 sub
Thank you so much and welcome!
Glyphs first or Legendary nodes first?
I go glyph over legendary unless the legendary is game changing for my build. For most builds there is usually one or two legendaries that meet that requirement.
My attack power is high, but current build will more likely have about 15-20k health with max armor and resistance. With my shield stacks and high attack power, that 15-20k hp won’t matter too much lol. Sometimes high attack power can work. But I still agree with the video overall.
Yeah, there is just a big variable if you try to use the attack power to determine your actual power that makes it almost worthless. They need to figure out a better way of giving a number that can represent how powerful you actually are.
My tip, stand behind Duriel when he spawns. Top middle of screen. Easy kill. 😊
That does work well.
@subzero308 Thank you for helping in the comments. I really appreciate you!
@tomvanvenrooij1811 Solid add, thank you so much!
Do you have a spirit born build?
What is the yellow and pink signs /icons on your weapons and leg gear ?
The chosen runes
They are equipped runes.
for the dark citadel rewards cosmetics, can you farm it repeatedly to get what you want or do you only get 3 caches for the week?
I'm not sure if its just in the chest for completing all three. I've never tried just grinding it.
👉👉If anybody else knows please comment. 🙂
@@MrLove-666 thank you, I really appreciate it!
If you haven't put skill points or are using an aspect that triggers the skill those are wasted points into concussive and counter.
excellent tips!!!
Thanks! I'm glad you found them useful.
@7:09 why or how do you have resources visible on your mini map
The mercenary Subo also reveals the resources on your minimap.
How do you see monsters in hell tide on your mini map like that?
That is the power of the Mercenary Subo when you use him as a companion.
on Heltides .... isnt the number chest you can open fixed?
I'm not sure what you mean. Are you asking if the number of chests are fixed?
@@OwnModeGaming after you open the available chests, then any additional cinders are lost, right?
@@Redridge07 yeah, but you can take them any other Helltides area and use them during the same Helltides. There is always 2 areas running Helltides, right next to each other and sometimes even 3. I hit the big chest for every area then I pick up the smaller chests.

A fastest way to get glyths and legendary recipies is the blood maiden. If ye have harts, end the 20 pit , go to torment 1 and then the maiden.
That's a solid secondary choice but I like the extra masterworking mats from the NMDs while I get early glyphs.
@@OwnModeGaming Of course, everyone should do what they like first. But in this case I’m talking only about efficiency and speed.
@@OwnModeGaming And yet, I can get massively more Obducite from Hordes than NMDs. The only thing I've found good about NMD is getting the XP well... then once I activate the well, I'll jump to running Hordes for the Obducite.

So if it says Type III, i can run two others, if Type I only one?
No 1 type 1
1 type 2
1 type 3
One from each type
one of each of the 3 types. So, a Type 1, a Type 2, and a Type 3.
Thank you!
Can I ask why you have 3153 armour? Don't you only need 1000?
There’s an aspect that buffs damage by 30% of your max Armor, up to 1500 more damage (so armor above 4500 stops helping). The more armor, the more raw damage
@@pkmn7777777 don't you mean HP
@@rog1046nope, aspects of unyielding hits: “Casting a Gorilla Skill increases your Weapon Damage by [10-30]% of your Armor for 3 seconds. Maximum 1,500 bonus Weapon Damage.”

You probably ran into this already with incenses; they do NOT always appear for everyone in the group. I ran in to this many many times. Just another one of many many bugs in this game.
That's a solid bug. Do you know if they get the benefit and it just doesn't show or do they get nothing?
Why isnt blizzard giving us a fullblown physicist style logarithmic scale for critnumbers? 18 = number with 18 zeros, For example. Clean and effective.
They can't even make numbers decent, you are asking for too much.
218 level ls dorc and im at a pinch point where i need a decent mythic or aspect to be able to push pit for glyphs and paragon but cant do the bosses quiet yet because i dont have the paragons, glyphs and mythics . They need to sort the aspects out and also include another way to level glyphs, having below 70% to put it up doesnt work!😢
Yup agreed this season and these changes suck.
I would switch over to gear hunting and masterworking by running the Hordes or even NMDs. In general, whenever one source of power gain isn't working I just switch something else.

That makes sense.
What kind of clown game is this? Stat number that doesn't accurately tell you how much damage you output? What the hell man.
It's pretty nuts.
Can you explain LIFE. I notice in your first section your life was way higher.
What do you want to know about life?
I just found out that barrier is what keeps most of these builds alive
What perks is the one that had stone runes circling them?
@Harpring04 no problem. It's the druid bulwark skill, the rune is que.
