Production footage of the 2023 Audi Q5 (second-generation facelift) at the Audi Mexico site in San José Chiapa, Mexico. This mega factory has a capacity of 150,000 vehicles per year.
Audi exports the Mexican-built Q5 to major global markets, including the United States and Canada, Europe and the Middle East. Certain variants of the Audi Q5 are also built in China (mainly the Q5L long wheelbase variant) and India.

Audi originally signed a union contract that specified wages of $1.40 up to $4 per hour. Most workers earn about $2.25 per hour. More recently, last week, Audi and the Independent Union of Audi Mexico Workers reached an agreement to raise salaries in Mexico by 9.4%.
