Scania King Of The Road, Scania as always been on top and always will be closely followed by Volvo.
Its impressive to experience in person i used play a part of the line for DAF when i left school previously called Leyland Trucks until Leyland trucks and DAF become one since the two was essentially the same lorry/truck therefore Leyland trucks still play a role in building Daf trucks to this day.

I do love videos like this and how different manufacturers assemble their vehicle and their philosophies ..I have been lucky to vist DAFs plants in Eindhoven and Leyland where they assemble the chassis upside down ,so the drop the axle assemblies on to the chassis ,where as Scania appear to assemble the chassis the correct way up and attach the chassis from below ...DAF on the New Generation have went the scanai wasy with the cab 1 can does all So where all Scanias cab look the same ,the DAF XF CF where different cabs so required more tooling .Where as the NGD DAF all look the same

we have an R580 at work and its one of the best trucks to drive, its smooth and sounds good. i sstill prefer my kenworth k1 over anything else but this scania is not only fast but quck as well. i went bobtail to the service yard in it on day and in sport mode it threw me threw me off the seat.

Yeah only that there is wrong info here. I work at the Factory in Meppel and we certainly DO NOT SHIP COMPLETED CAPS. Those are Build Painted and Assambled in the Factory in Sweden. We in Meppel are responisble for everything that goes on the outside of the Cabin and Truck:
Sideskirts
Roofspoilers
Bumpers
Upper and Lower Grill
Those parts all get painted and preassambeled at our Factory in Meppel and than get shipped (which is my job as a loadmaster) to our 3 Factories in Zwolle (NL) Angers (FRA) and Sodertalje (SWE) where the Trucks get fully build.

In a life time of driving trucks of all makes , scania was by far the best , all the others were never as good ,
What I've heard, many drivers favorite, great comfort, good power, but it comes with an high maintenance cost. There are a bit less costly trucks to purchase and keep going, but naturally not quite as fancy
@@Rimrock300 I once left a company that because they told me my scania was being traded in , to help finance a fleet of Iveco's , and I could have my pick of which one I wanted , when you spend your entire working life in a truck , live , work and sleep , anything less than a Scania is not good enough , ( at that time I ecosaver were offering a " buy two , get a third one free ,)
