👉Does India manufacture submarines?
The Arihant-class submarines are nuclear powered ballistic missile submarines built under the Advanced Technology Vessel (ATV) project. They will be the first nuclear submarines designed and built by India.
👉Which is the most advanced submarine?
Too expensive, but also the most advanced and powerful attack sub in the U.S. Navy. USS Seawolf is based at Bangor naval base on the west coast of the United States and normally sails the Pacific. But on Friday the nuclear-powered submarine suddenly came to surface outside Tromsø in northern Norway.
👉What companies build submarines?
The companies holding the largest market share in the Global Military Shipbuilding & Submarines industry include General Dynamics Corporation, Huntington Ingalls Industries Inc., United Shipbuilding Corporation, Naval Group SA and BAE Systems PLC
👉Which country has most submarine?
United States (66)
Russia (62)

South Korea doesn't mess around! I was stationed at UNCSB-JSA at Camp Bonifas in the 90s. They're an industrial powerhouse.
Both the DPRK (the Democratic People's Republic of Korea/North Korea) and the RoK (Republic of Korea/South Korea) are confirmed to be in an active war, the DMZ (Demilitariezed Zone) would collapse, to make sure it wouldn't happen, South Korea allied military support by the USA and other UN members, North Korea is backed by Russia (used to be the USSR) and the People's Republic of China, South Korea, by some of the UN members including the United States
Potential US Jobs ...
That’s why the North want it back !!
the wartsila factory is in Drunen The Netherlands , i've been there often to deliver industrial gasses and steel , that place started out as Koninklijke Lips , a ships propeller manufacturer that was known to produce the biggest propellers known in shipping , i've also been there a few times when it was still Lips , sadly they got into financial difficulties and got bought by wartsila , a good thing too because as said they were known to make the biggest props around , an industry saved .
Amazing and Marvelous engg skills.
It's BIG. Can't imagine how much documents, materials, people used to build such huge thing.
That´s true Magnum... many of these things are needed to built submarine... But that is the reason why the price is so high...
Thank You so much for this introduction to the manufacturing of a Submarine. I had no idea what it took to build one. I hope to see more videos on this subject with additional details Thanks!
Thank you for sharing a tiny window into how a submarine is built in such top secret factories. What we saw is less than 1% but it's awsome to watch.

Amazing video.
That's some real impressive sheets of steel. Handling and forming those require the right equipment, and the right know how. Some looked to be over several inches thick. Rolling and forming requires very specialized machinery. Heating them to soften before stamping makes a lot of sense. Welding all the sheets together is another amazing process. Even with automated welding equipment, building up 2-3 inches of weld to join those huge steel sheets together requires more time than most people could imagine. Every weld inspected by special scanners. Everything has to be perfect, those subs are going down deep, water pressure at depth is immense.
Wau, Thanks a lot for your comment Steven!!
@@machinatuscom you are welcome, very interesting post. Ship building has always amazed me. Underwater ships even more so. If there is a leak in a weld on a cruise ship, it's annoying, and will be fixed when back at port. A leak in the pressure hull of submarine is a life or death situation. I had a friend who joined Navy. He was on Trident Subs 6 months a year. That put a face and name on submarines, made it personal.

Very true, i wonder why not India ?
@@pietrojenkins6901 India has indigenously built nuclear submarine called "Arihant class nuclear submarine." Even no other country other than US, UK, France, China Russia and India can build a nuclear submarine. India also has built ballistic missile capable submarine. South Korea has never built that.
Dude South Korea built SLBM ballistic missile firing Submarine and tested SLBM launch This year and I believe that S Korea will complete 5th generation fighter, kf21 within 5 years. South Korea had many sanctions for developing missiles and nuclear related weapons from U.S because of President Park's trial for developing nuclear bomb during 70's So Even if S. Korea had technologies to develop many weapons, S Korea sanctioned not to do

One of indonesia navy submarine named Nanggala 402 was built on 1977 , made in west germany , but now sunk eternaly deep condolence for cabin crew , it was amazing almost 50 years journey..and finally ..we cant meet again..
isnt that sub made in 1983?
Nenggala was 42 years old when she sunk
@@pops7249 The submarine was built in West Germany in 1977, went through an experimental voyage, and commissioned in 1978. If the sunken Indonesian submarine was normal, she had to undergo overhaul maintenance again in 2018 to be able to operate. But for whatever reason, the Indonesian Navy did not go through overhaul maintenance procedures. Therefore, the sinking of an Indonesian submarine was an accident that could be predicted in advance.
@@georgebuffon6180 No. the sunken submarine is precisely 45 years since it was built in West Germany.

and it says the sub will be going under maintenance next year

10:52 *awesome propeller!!*
People really don't understand how integral, precise, and symmetrical these must be for no vibrations...
Vibrations from unbalanced propellers, or the wrong geometry in prop design have actually caused submarines to sink before.
Their design is crucial.

Canada needs a submarine factorys. Factories that can built more submarines and alot of work force
Extreme work
As a HT in the Navy who works with the sub’s, I’m extremely surprised that the USG allowed the filming of any part of this.
Oh you know that over 90% of the value of a modern submarine is in the software. They just showed the old fashion metal foundry bits. No big secret. No one could replicate this extremely elaborate piece of machinery from watching the shell being put together. They would though be intimidated as they can see they could never achieve such technological achievements
