Yeah, it is definitely reminiscent of those Legion events. I've been enjoying this Phase, and Season of Discovery overall, so far. And it's pretty easy to get caught back up so I'd say for sure give it a shot if you felt like checking it out =)
Instead of spending five hours sweating it out, why not just have a quick and easy 1-60 instant button? I mean, you don't seem to care much about enjoying the game world, the quests, or the interactions - you just want to jump into the raid as soon as possible. Maybe you should ask for a raid simulator instead of an MMO RPG if that's all you're interested in. The event feels too crowded, laggy, sweaty, and just overall clunky. Can't we just say it's a poorly designed game with bad gameplay? Because, let's face it, it's just not up to par with WoW or any game whatsoever in the year of 2024
I don't usually engage with negatively-toned comments because you are certainly more than entitled to your opinion and I don't think that offering a rebuttal nets much benefit for either party, but just to offer my perspective: You sure are making a lot of assumptions about me lol. I don't have as much time to play the game as I would like to, but I do enjoy raiding, so for me to take a day off and get a character max level so that I can begin to participate in a type of content that I enjoy without having to throw my busy schedule that out of whack for an extended period of time is a wonderful option for me. And personally I then like to spend the rest of the Phase casually leveling my alts, exploring the world, and enjoying my free time in the way that most pleases me. You are also more than welcome to do so with your free time and with your access to the game that you willingly pay your monthly subscription for. I don't see how anyone choosing to spend their time in a certain way that has no direct impact on you is such a point of contention. Go slow, enjoy the scenery, do whatever makes you happy, my friend. With that being said, I will certainly concede that I don't think they did a very good job with this event. The content itself is fine as a new optional event to do in the game, and will get less crowded over time, but in my opinion the experience scaling is way off. It's to the point where doing anything else feels "suboptimal" or like a "waste of time" if your only goal is simply to hit max level as soon as possible. I don't think that it was their intention and it was definitely a 'sweaty' 5+ hour slog to participate in, although I did have a great time because I was playing with a group of friends and having fun conversations while doing so. We also met many other cool and interesting people along the way and that's one of my favorite parts about MMOs specifically. And at the end of the day, whether you're spamming dungeons, grinding quests, or leveling up any other way, we're all on the same artificial virtual treadmill so however someone chooses to walk it is fine by me as long as it doesn't directly impact or impede my own experience with it. No one is forcing anyone to do this content, or play this game at all for that matter. By making this video I just wanted to offer my experience with it as an option to maybe help some people in case it suited them, and if it doesn't, you don't have to do it, and that's perfectly fine too. Maybe I'm missing something here but frankly I don't understand all the hate. I'm making choices to play the game in a way that I find to be worth my time and money every month, and everyone else is free to do the same. I'm perfectly content with the tradeoff of an upfront time investment spent grinding through some tedious and repetitive content to get to the point where I can complete my goals in the game without having to expend as much effort and time going forward. So that's why it was worth it for me to do so, and if you don't want to do it that way then that's cool too, I hope that you enjoy your time in Azeroth as well =) (P.S. If they had a raid simulator game I would totally play that too lol)

@@SigsPlaysI sure do enjoy. I gained 3 levels through the event and I switched to traditional questing. Now they are buffing questing to 75% extra xp gained up from 50%. So it’s good no harm done. My only consideration is the reputation rewards from the event.

Thankfully I don't personally need any of the rep rewards (beyond the Rune at Friendly), but for classes that do it's definitely a grind. I feel like they should buff the rep gained for doing the higher level Incursions in Feralas and the Hinterlands. Or maybe make the Quests daily but have them give way more Rep for each turn-in, (as much as I dislike feeling obligated to log in every day to not miss out on potential progress lol).

I like how easy it is for you to loot the scroll and box. Would suck if it insanely laggy and completely covered by horde and alliance to the point that you couldnt interact with it at all...
The gold has been nerfed a lot already. It used to give 6g per quest and up to 15g for the boss quests. I think around 6 hours or so after server release they nerfed it to 3g. And now it's at 1g. I had 3 accounts and borrowed 2 of my friends chars to multibox this. Completely fucked up their accounts with my macros but it was well worth it. Ended the day with 4k-ish gold. Was kinda worried about the gold inflation but blizzard came in clutch with the nerf xD
Yeah, I'm always pretty disappointed when Blizzard doesn't get the tuning correct at launch - like with the Blood Moon last phase - but as long as they are I am glad that I was actually able to benefit from it for once instead of finding out about it after the fact. And even after the nerfs it's still pretty solid XP and Gold, so it's a nice alternative to break up the dungeon / questing grind imo. 👍
So this is a instance that you spam. So no different wat you did in phase 2. Ignore the quest out in the world. THE best time I had with sod was phase 1 the world was full with ppl. My questen is do you have to do it? I mean is there a gear reward that is pre raid gear so then ppl kind have to do instead of like me questing out in the world.
There are some rewards, including a Rune for every class at Friendly, a 6-piece "tier" set at Friendly / Honored, and some epic trinkets at Exalted. I'm not sure how good they are for every class. For me personally most of my Gnomer gear is going to be better for pre-bis. It's pretty good catchup gear for Alts or for people that don't have a full set of Gnomer gear though. Most of it can probably be replaced with Dungeon / Sunken Temple gear pretty quickly too, so you don't *have* to get it I don't think, but there may be a few nice pieces depending on your class.
they really nerfed it? i did not do it since i thought they wont, blizzard is on another level, SoD is a damn joke, those quests are a joke, runes are a joke everything is a joke..
@@GravityDAD It's definitely better in a group. You *can* do the quests solo, but then you only get 1 random quest at a time. The really good XP comes from being in a group and getting 5x5 (25) quests per loop and then only doing the ones that are efficient for XP. There's definitely a lot of groups going at the moment so you should be able to find one once you get there!

Yeah, I feel you. Personally I like that there's new content to do, and a variety of leveling options available, but I don't know how I feel about it being so spammable. Imo the XP rates are definitely not in line with what this event was intended for, and it turns the whole area into a clusterf**k since it's technically "inefficient" to do anything else. I think that they should have made all the quests give like 5x the rep but only be completable once per day or something (as much as I abhor feeling forced to log in to grind dailies for rep rewards), which would have made it feel much more optional, and just a cool little side event to do if you felt like it.
I don't have a ton of time to play, so I like to take a day off to get 1 character to max so that I can do endgame content like the raid, and then spend the rest of the phase casually leveling alts without feeling like I have to rush to not miss out on anything. But that's just me, it's your $15 a month, so however you like to play is fine too! =)

I was just trying to preface the video to explain what it was going to be about for people who didn't know what the Incursions were, and put a disclaimer that it may be patched it so to do it quickly - and that's also why I put timestamps so that people can skip to the parts most relevant to what they're looking for =)

At the end of the day it's an MMO and some people are always going to find a way to Min/Max because that's what they enjoy, and that shouldn't detract from anyone else playing the game the way that they want and enjoying it too. I'll admit that it does feel kind of bad that the "fastest" way to level right now is such a tedious grind, and that if you're not doing it that way then it feels like you're "falling behind". Personally I was okay with slogging through it and am now having a lot of fun exploring the world, discovering Runes, and doing quests at max level, which I find a lot more fun than having to grind quests while getting constantly ganked on my PvP server, or spamming the same dungeon over and over, but that's just me. There are still a lot of other things to do in the game and I hope that you're able to find some enjoyment from it =)
