Part 13: • Math Hoffa on Intervie...
Part 15: • Math Hoffa & Vlad Deba...
    --------
In this clip between Vlad and Math Hoffa, they discuss Ja Rule always being connected to 50 Cent. The duo concurs that being constantly associated with a specific individual or event can sometimes overshadow personal accomplishments. They cite examples from the music industry, arguing that successful artists often have to exceed their previous achievements to shift focus away from their past. They delve into the dynamics of professional relationships and how abrasive personalities can hinder growth, citing Dame Dash as an example. Despite his contribution to the music industry, they note that his brusque approach may have hampered potential collaborations.

Irv Gotti truly did more for Jay's success than Dame. Irv was the one to get them on Hot 97 through the introduction to Flex, Irv already had a relationship with Def-Jam, he helped Jay get onto the ( Nutty Professor) soundtrack ( Ain't No ), the success of that single led to the signing to the production deal with Def Jam. The weight of the success was on Jay, and others, not Dame. Just look at the parallel of their successes today.

Problem with Dame was that attitude was his demise cause he was rude and disrespectful to other top industry business guys. He was on top of the world at that point. But it came back to bite him cause when he was by himself no Bigz no Rocafella, no JayZ a lot of people didn’t want to deal or do business with him and unfortunately those were relationships that could have made his ventures go mega.
His been very successful but it’s not been mega.
Take Kanye as an example, he out Kanye on? It was Dame. But Ye chose to go with JayZ and look at what Ye became.

Dame heart wasn't in the music business, Dame was dead weight to Rocafella(in Jay's mind). We all can agree, Dame was more into fashion by this point and it showed in his actions. To top it off(Pause) Dame took Aaliyah when Jay was actively pursuing her and took 400k from the business account without being authorized by all 3 co-founders.
I think the business relationship just ran its course. I dont see how Biggs added MORE value to the progression of Rocafella but i can understand how he helped maintain it, he seems to be very savvy but probably not innovative. After a decade Jay felt he could create and manage and didn't need them both, which is fine and clearly accurate at this point
I don't like how Jay departed from Rocafella, it was sneaky but it needed to be done. Jay has always been passive especially becsuse he was the youngest in his family and friends. At a certain point, Dame was lil bro'n Jay and Jay didn't respect it and was done being the lil homie.

Ace-of Spades , The Carter Faculty, Def Jam all failed.. Roc NATION is a management company Just like Violators was & is actually a subsidiary of another company LIVE NATION.
