I just tried to tag you in my short I painted my dog in this style and colour palette 🎨 thanks for video it was just I’m a full time artist and love learning new things. Paint everyday ppl
@@KseniaAnnis o good I’m glade you seen it the tagging would not work I guess you have tagging turned off. Yes I’m going to paint it a few times more practice is key
Love it, going to give this a go. I struggle to identify the tonal value of the colours in my palette, is there a simple way to do this? I thought I might put them in order light to dark for now.
Thank you so much for watching the video! I usually don't evaluate colors on the palette because a lot depends on how many layers you apply and how much water you use. I almost always have my reference photo in black and white, that eliminates colors and helps us see tonal values. Also during the painting process you can snap a photo of your painting with your phone, convert it to black and white (turn the saturation in photo editing all the way down) and compare what you painted with the reference. This video talks more about tonal values, if you'd like to take a look - ua-cam.com/video/QIS-SAg8AaU/v-deo.html
