Tried this on the PO-133 Street Fighter and it worked! Thank you so much for that little trick. You just kicked open a new door on that little unit for me.
Just ordered myself a PO-33 this morning, based on this video. I've had a MPC1000 before that I loved doing simple stuff with it, but can't justify $500-$600 for a used one again while saving for gear I *will* use more than casually. This thing should satisfy my beatmaking desires quite well, though I think I'll still try to grab a nice condition MPC500 some time in the future.
Was thinking about getting an MPC 500 as my friend has one for sale but I think I'm definitely going to go for a po 33 ...iv been using the bandlab sampler on my phone it's actually pretty good
Trying to use a DJ controller for scratching and a modular synth for a master keyboard to add more sound. Would I even need a big sampler/beatpad like Akai (MPC One preferably) to make hip-hop beats like this or would the PO be alright? the PO would right along a DJ Pioneer 800
For just making beats the PO can easily do the job, the mixtape I'm finishing was made completely on the PO. However, for on stage use you may find the 40 seconds of sample really limiting (depending on how much of a main piece the PO would be) and you'd have to make sure that whatever equipment you use to keep time can send pulse clock; but if your using a modular system it'll have that.
Budda Da Buddha the synth is a Korg minilogue XD. I’m not too sure if it has pulse clock, however in terms of using sampling the PO would be a main piece. I’m more of a beginner DJ producer and being dawless is something I’m actually comfortable with. Specifically I would just like to use the PO in the meantime until I get funds to get a Touch Screen Sampler akai/maschine or a Roland Tr-8 or just any beat machine. As of right now I’m more into producing at home then performing live, which is why I’m interesting in how the PO’s work in terms of me saving a few dollars before I actually make the big purchases. Thanks!
@@adriannunez8868 oh ok, the Minilogue does have a pulse clock (the 1/4 jacks beside the midi ports). Anyways, for use in the studio you could DEFINITELY use the PO, and it's great!!!
Budda Da Buddha in terms of recording, you would just have to set up your daw correctly right? Entirely new to music and even the wirings/pairings have sometimes left me confused. Thanks man!
@@adriannunez8868 no worries man, we all have to start somewhere. Ya, you just need some sort audio interface to send the sound into your computer and then go into your daws preferences and set it to receive from the audio interface. Is there any wiring you're confused about at the moment?
With a lot of fine tuning lol... I recorded the drums right into the "drum section" and then adjusted slightly from there to get each slice to sound how I wanted it to.
Game changer
Great tip, thanks
Thanks for watching :)
Kind comment for You, great content
That beat is dope
Cool !

That's awesome! The 133 looks pretty cool!
Thanks for the info!😉👍
My pleasure!
Only thing about the KO I don't like is the toyish animation on the screen pity they didn't put something better and more useful on the screen
True, but for the price, it’s pretty great
cover it with tape 😂
Thanks man this is priceless info.
So glad it helped!

Thanks!!
That jam at the end man! I must admit I've tried to do something like that a couple of times but the results were less than satisfactory XD
Really? Why's that?
@@_sugr.skull_ My workflow is pretty different and I lack the sampling experience you obviously have! ;)
@@ArgieVoid lol you'll get there, don't worry. Any questions you can always ask me 👍
@@_sugr.skull_ Thank you! It'll be a cool exercise!
What’s the sample that you chopped up??
Honestly, I can't remember...it's obviously a disco record, but I can't put my finger on which one.

What drums are those?? I wanna sample drums from tracks but it hard can you help?
Those drums are from a sunny called Memoirs Of The Traveler by The Jaggerz...it's one of my favorite drum breaks.
@@_sugr.skull_ you recorded on the po-33 and if you did how they come perfect

@@_sugr.skull_ do you mind me asking how long did you record the drum part?? Or do you have a recommend time?
I just recorder the entire drum break
beautiful video flow bro haha
Thank you so much man! I really appreciate that
