I am not sure.real shea butter has a nutty earthy smell.plus it melts in your palm easily just with your body heat.Test yours and see. I hope this was helpful.Blessings

My vendor don't have a website. I get it from an African Lady who travels to Africa and buy it, then she sells it to me. She has stopped for a while because of Covid. When she resume business. I will ask her if she wants new clients.

Thank you for the video. Can you please tell me what are the white bits on the outside of the Shea butter?. I have noticed this on some I have bought before but never know if it’s ok. I’m in the UK so buy online, it’s hard to tell what’s good.
Thanks for watching. The white bits are nothing to worry about. when the shea butter is exposed to light over a period of time oxidation occurs and changes the yellow color to white but it's still good. Just keep it covered in a dark container away from too much light and it will not change color so quick. Many blessings

I bought it straight froM Africa. Now I’m struggling to remove the smell, everyone can smell it and its not pleasant
Maybe you can add essential oils to the Shea butter to mask the smell.Its unfortunate that yours have a bad smell.l get mines from Nigeria or Ghana from some Middle age ladies and l never have any issues.

I never tried shea I ordered raw ivory one but it had grayish spots it's this rancid?I though it supposed to be ivory white only
Shea butter can be white or yellow depending on the region in Africa it comes from. Spots in the shea butter could mean that there are some shea nut shells or skin in it that was not cleaned
properly. You can always tell by the smell if your shea butter is rancid because it will have a very unpleasant smell.
