If these countries has a more decent manufacturing industry, they don't have to sell everything raw but instead a processed product. Even partially processed product should suffice. Example, instead of selling ores they will sell steel. Even if they cant build ships, steel alone has more than doubles the value of the raw material and also helps local employment.

Beautiful craft and tradition I really hope they can plant more trees and stop the deforestation I wish I knew how to support them if definitely buy my Shea from these beautiful women! ❤
Cutting down the trees should be made illigal. They should be protected as a vital resource. Charcoal is not as valuable. Grow your own trees to burn that don't have a more important and repeatedly applicable value.
The Body Shop uses the Shea made by women in Ghana but they use fair trade agreements to source and use the Shea. They make sure that the women who work as the farmers have wearhouses, living wages, and accommodations as well.
@@guineverejackson1201 I understand where you're coming from, but I'd actually look up how The Body Shop operates. My friend worked there for years so that how I know about it. The instagram page is invalid. Can you please give us a link where we can support these woman/preferably where we can buy the product directly from them if thats an option? I dont understand why you educate us on their struggles without giving us a direct way to donate or buy from them.
We really should not be relying solely on one butter. We are working these poor women to the bone. There are many more hydraters out there or even in our own land to use, but so many are unwilling to let go. Even if we did pay them well, it will eventually deplete their lands and there will be no more shea. While it is a good butter, we must be willing to pay for it's true price or just find something else. If you have eczema and need shea butter to soothe your irritation, then you can try cutting all dairy from your diet. To have good skin is to have a good gut and every 3 days try drinking apple cider vinegar tea to clean you out when you start detoxing. ACV is anti inflammatory and now I only have it after eating dairy during special occasions. If you have no nut allergies you should try to eat more nuts (walnuts) and seeds (pumpkin) too. There are many good oils in them and are also anti-inflammatory. This is what helped me and my skin is supple and durable even in the cold winter. I only need an oil at night and sun screen in the day. Pecan or walnut oil is great to soothe an eczema breakout.

Finally you come to Ghana
This makes me so sad I love shea butter & don’t use anything else we need to protect these women & traditions. Like everyone else is saying I wish there was a way we can buy from them directly
So happy to learn more about what my descendants may have done! Black is beautiful❤
These ladies are heroes! That’s truly hard work, praying your profits increase❤️
I have taken Shea butter for granted. I now appreciate it much more.
One time a student was selling the Shea butter directly from a wooden gigantic bowl.
I only bought a small jar.I wish I had bought more.
Now that, I have seen this video, I will be even more appreciative.
I pray these women do not lose their means of Income.
Moreover, I pray laws will be made to protect the Shea trees.
Manufactured Shea is. definitely different from hand made.
Women, need to support the endeavors to replant the Shea trees, and support these women
This is an excellent video.
Thank you for sharing.
You've heard the feedback and started linking to the businesses in your videos. Thank you!
I always buy my shea butter from Ghana and I will continue to do so to support these hardworking women 🇬🇭❤️
Unbelievable 😳🔥🔥🔥I’ll pay for shipping for that blue bucket 🤦🏾♀️❤️❤️❤️I wished they would’ve mentioned how we can buy from them
Whatever information you need I can help direct you
Their contact & handle is in the description box.

Shea butter is very good for your hair, your skin and is also good for even cooking, every food or fruits God created is good for the body.., these women needs a helping hand,. Because Selling shea butter here in Ghana 🇬🇭 is very hard
Is that because everyone practically sells it at the markets?
I live in the southern part of Ghana(Accra) and this is the first time seeing how shea butter(nkuto) is being made
I use raw shea butter on my hair n skin. It very good for stretch marks, dark spot, dry skin, enzyme, anti aging, etc. My favorite skin product.
Thanks for sharing.
There must be an educational awareness of the valuability of such trees, aforestation and the dangers of deforestation. A total prohibition of tree felling must be enforced by law. The senseless greed in Ghana must stop!!!
@@efsane4403 was geht dir das an? Kann es sein dass du zu den Dieben dieses Land gehörst?
This woman are so hardworking
When it burns you, it is ready-words to live by.
Fair trade is a scam they charge a huge membership fee rusty only major corporations can afford 🤦🏽♀️
@@guineverejackson1201 I understand where you're coming from, but I'd actually look up how The Body Shop operates. My friend worked there for years so that how I know about it. They have helped to support woman's villages, give living wages for everyone involved, and they don't extort precious resources without either replanting or stopping the production entirely.
Been a super fan of Shea butter for the past 16 years.. my favourite L’occitane ❤ superb quality !!
Watching this is clear there’s no fair trade 🥺 not to mention all the hard work from beginning to end
Such a great story can’t wait until next paycheck to be able to support such an amazing small business! Tradition can never be beaten
Traditional work is pure and truly eco friendly rather then new techniques which somehow affectes our nature
I would love to go to 🇬🇭 Ghana and work with these women and learn first hand. I know it’s tough. They deserve so much!
My skin loves shea butter as a moisturizer more than anything else
FASCINATING I FEEL THAT THE NATURAL MADE VERSION IS THE BEST
May God bless this women. 🙏
May God bless these hardworking women
If we aren't prepared to support jobless communities, we must stop outcompeting each other. Everyone deserves the chance to pursue a living
Thank you for this. I follow social media on one shea butter page, but have not seen all the hard work and detail shown here. How can we help this particular group? She listed her wishes. We should be able to support them.

This has helped my hair grow and my skin glow.
Anyone looking to support - Kynk Naturals out of Toronto makes some awesome products with shea butter sourced from traditional makers like these!
This changed my life for the better, thank u so much

My thoughts exactly.

I love the shea butter raw form🤤
May God bless them, Lord they are working so hard please bless them Father in Heaven. These women in Ghana 🥺🥺
I hope they are proud of their craft. They should be.
It's the glow in their skin for me.. ❤🍫
I love these beautiful women! I cannot live without Shea Butter everything! This hard work should be bringing them joy and wealth, not pain and worry! Is there anything I, the simple buyer, can do to help try to make Shea Butter more of a precious product for Ghana??
I guess you could pay them a visit in Ghana. You're welcome
They have such pretty skin
The instagram page is invalid. Can you please give us a link where we can support these woman/preferably where we can buy the product directly from them if thats an option? I dont understand why you educate us on their struggles without giving us a direct way to donate or buy from them.
God bless and keep these women and protect their livelihood 🙏🏼
How can we buy directly from these amazing women?
