But if you get him running and really press him on the backhand side like Meddy did in this match, you might just see different results! Meddy is the king of tactics and mental games these days. To me, he's just countering and pushing the ball, his technique is one of the ugliest we've ever seen on the tour, each point looks the same most of the time, especially when he plays against Djokovic.
But, the player himself is enjoyable and his tennis is smart because he's able to beat the best and lots of his rivals easily,
Overall, Medvedev imo isn't enjoyable at all to watch except maybe if you have an opponent that has enough power to make winners etc, just like a Federer against a Djokovic is way better than a Murray/Djokovic and that allows to have a beautiful match usually, but otherwise, pretty boring, still, everyone else should recognize that on Hard especially, he's an awesome player and his game is smart, otherwise he wouldn't win that much 🤙

@@ijump-bounce2283 There's an interview on you tube where he talks about how uncoordinated he was when he was a kid, and he couldn't hit the ball the way the other kids could. So, he had to learn other ways to do it. By the time he was about 14 or 15, it was too late to change. That's why he plays the way he does. (He wasn't a great Jr's player, and as Rublev said, he wasn't given financial support. Most kids would have quit. I admire him for his never give up attitude and using the talent he has to the best of his abilities.)

@@ijump-bounce2283 I don't know, maybe I'm just biased, but when everyone find Alcaraz entertaining, I don't. Maybe it's because I find his personality pretty annoying, arrogant and false just like Nadal's. He also seems to rely on his power too much and moves through the court in an unhealthy manner so that he ends up traumatizing himself.
Meddy always tries to think on court and when he reaches absolutely impossible balls, it's very satisfying to watch. But I understand your points very well, he's a more passive and less elegant tennis player than a lot of guys out there.
