Medvedev is definitely a wall and he's a great roadrunner, wherever the ball is sent to him he gets there, his defense and counterattack technique is incredible. IMHO!

True.. He reached djokovic a nice lesson here

Both match was exellent. Bravo Medy and Rublev.👌
Rublev is in good form and Medvedev is unstoppable. It's gonna be hell of a final : )
Actually medvedev's game has always been a hell for andrey, so hopefully this time he can make it , but I'm glad with whoever wins this
Lol, Medvedev in straight sets, rublev won't come close
I'll give you my life savings if Rublev wins.
Yeah, let's hope for a competitive final ..but I think Meddy's gonna crush rublev in straight sets...
"Hell of a final" when Medvedev is playing as good as he used to before AO 2022, and Rublev is still weak mentally, if he's not patient he's gonna lose without giving any trouble, otherwise he might be able to play a close set at best and that would be all. Medvedev is way above but let's see
Perfect games from all 4 players 👏.Danya and Andrey played a little better. Finnaly Russian final and there are enough Russian people to support them in Dubai))) Hope to see a great match!
Meddy played like it was US Open 2021 Great Match and Effort from Nole Always up the Ante‼️ He Will Indeed Be Back Great Match from both. Gonna be interesting tomorrow with Bweeh

Daniel Medvedev won
1 US Open title

Daniel Medvedev won 6 Big titles and 11 small titles bro
He must win Miami masters title and Indian wells masters title then focus on clay court masters titles also.
Medvedev will adapt to grass courts before clay courts is my feeling bro in 2024.

Zao mi je sto je Nole izgubio ali za utehu mi je sto je izgubio od Medvedeva. Dobra dusa i Novakov prijatelj.
I always root for Novak too, but good for Medvedev and best wishes against Rublev.

Even though he lost, I'm happy that Zverev is slowly returning to form. Now if only he can work on improving his serve, I think he will be a contender again.
Yes, I agree, just stay off the mother f**king clay!
Sad Nole lost but considering the form Meddy is in, he deserved to win. So Congrats to Him 👏🎉
He has always been a tough opponent for Djokovic.
Nice to see warm hugs after both matches
Daniil and Novak's game was the star of the show.... but i can't imagine the brutal hitting of Rublev.... dropping bombs left and right..... no question about his game but so glad that he brought a ton of confidence on this match...
Congrats meddy 👏👏. He made nole play so bad with 38 uf errors 😱.What a run he is having 🔥🔥. Medvedev & Zverev always a tough match up for nole in hard courts (esp 3 setters)
Yeah, he just looked like a wall in that match; he went GOD mode!
That's how Medvedev plays!
Yeah he plays in such a way that some of those "unforced" errors should almost be called "forced" 😂
yeah i watched the match, those so many unforced errors came from Nole hitting wayy harder than usual, like he's tryna hit early winners against Meddy's insane defense and court coverage
Just like 2021 us open.. And most probably ao 2022 if he's face Medvedev in the final
Андрей, классный матч показал. Запомни это состояние и дай Дане бой!
Желаю завтра, чтобы вы с Даней показали классную игру!
Djokovic trying the tactic that Thiem and Nadal have used well against Medvedev - using their slice backhand to break up his game. But Djokovic's slice backhand isn't as effective as Thiem's or Nadal's, and Medvedev was able to counter it. Great to see Medvedev looking happy on the court again and getting some good results.
didn't get why he did not do more serve and volley when med was so far back (even though he can react/run really fast)
@@damien8267 not easy to execute if it's not your natural game. Djokovic is very solid at net but Nadal for example has developed into a better volleyer though he wasn't the most natural either, but he has better hands at net than Novak.

goat stuff from Daniil, 3 titles in a row if he wins in the final…seems like he’s got his confidence back. Just praying he’s able to compete in Wimbledon this year!
You need to play well at the net . Well, nevertheless you have Ivanisevic who was at the net , like a cow on the ice.
@@ediccartman7252 Yeah, gorans volleys were not the most natural but he had incredible hands, and so made up for his flaw with big groundies and touch volleys at net. Medvedev is awkward but I think he can play really well on grass because it's so slow nowadays, plus the bounce is medium and consistent.
@@ediccartman7252 Well, Ivanisevic was no Edberg or McEnroe, he had some skill. However, his serve was superior, which is also why he never get enough practice at the net... His serves didn't come back as often.
Novak played too aggressively, which is why there are so many unforced errors. You can't hit that hard every time and not miss!
But how amazingly Daniil played, with his fantastic game he forced Novak to take such unjustified risks over and over again, because in the game on the back line Danya outplayed him, hence so many mistakes and nerves from Novak. In his current form, Dany is the best player in the world! How long have we been waiting for this!
Andrey and Sasha also showed amazing tennis! I applaud both athletes. We look forward to the Russian final tomorrow!🇷🇺
I agree with most of what you say, but you can't call Medvedev the best player in the world until the Russian learns to play good on clay and grass.
@Rafa undisputed Goat Rafa is definitely done winning grand slams this year. I dare anybody to stop Rafa from not winning them...
Congrats to Medvedev! After losing four straight matches to Djokovic, he finally defeated him. It feels like it's been forever since Medvedev won against Djokovic and I was rooting for him to pull through. Congrats to Rublev as well! I heard that he hadn't taken a set off Zverev in all five of their matchups and he got his first win against him today.

Damn! What a match from Medvedev! Such clinical, precision led tennis. His hunger to return every ball coupled with some really intelligent tennis got him a win over an inform Djokovic. Medvedev at his freaking best.
med has finally recovered from his loss to Rafa at last years AO. The confidence is back and he is 100%. Took him a whole year to find it again, but that was a BRUTAL loss.
I was broken just after watching that. There's no way Rafa beats prime Daniil on fast AO surface, he lost the mental game there. Otherwise he should have crushed Nadal in 3 sets there. His form was through the roof before that match.

With how Novak has looked and him being the more complete player, I thought for sure that Djokovic was taking this match. Medvedev played phenomenally and forced Djokovic into making many more errors than youu normally would see. Djokovic played his game, but Medvedev was just too good this time. This was a well-deserved win by the Russian. Where was this Medvedev at the last 2 slams? As a Djokovic fan, you can’t be disappointed. The Serb has had a great year so far and if you were him, would you rather beat Med and win Dubai and lose in the AO or win the AO and lose to Med here. I think we all know the answer to that.
The GOAT’s bad day came on the day Medvedev emulated Novak’s unbreakable wall of defense from his prime years (2011-2016). 😮
Rusty game with too many UEs. Didn’t hide the loss behind a pitiful excuse of a injury like others do when they lose. Not did he retired from the match when losing. 😉
Meddy played perfect tennis and Novak did not. The better player of the day won. So congrats to Daniel!!! 🎉👏👏👏
Tough luck for Novak, he should start getting ready for clay season! Idemo GOAT!!! 💪💪💪😎
Classy how Medvedev celebrates his win modestly and Novak generously congratulates him.
All 4 awesome players that i like, but the two who get to play the final were on 🔥today, congrats to both 👏

I enjoyed it, best wishes in final Andrey and Danniil
Hmm, great match but nothing too special imo.
What special...it is simple finished with 6-4 & 6-4...Djokovic was simply overpower by Daniel that all
Meddy really good on hard court as always, rublev crazy shot placement and returns today. Zverev is looking really good and coming back quickly, something i especially appreciate after seeing what happened to poor domi...
Daniel played like a true champion ball after ball just like net practice without fail......A court similar to US open in feel and look and this kind of court is where he beat Novak 2 years ago so it stays fresh in memory........
Clearly Daniel was irresisting in the moments when it mattered and Novak found it a bit tough to find angles to put enough drop shots to change the tempo........Medvedev deserved it today......better player won on the day
Meddy: "I don't think three 6-4s during the 2021 USO were enough..."
What superb tennis by these 4 players! Medvedev was at his athletic best n Rublev was not to be outplayed 👏🏾👍🏾

I’m so happy for meddy even tho I was rooting for Novak. I really didn’t mind who won because poor medvedev ever since that ao final has been having a very rough time. So happy he’s coming back!
My God Medvedev... He played like a true successor of Big 3 throughout the match... I was like 100.01% sure that Djokovic would win, have hardly saw him losing recently... But well played Medvedev... He's finally back...
He is the next Big
Medvedev the assasin is back on track with his wife on side court, that really helps him i think.
I thought nole what have gotten at least a set. But I knew meddy would have played well.
Looks like Medvedev is in the right frame of mind .. no anger comments or frustration from either players ! It was so close .
Meddy and Carlos are the only players with the rallying ability and court coverage to be able to get the better of Novak when he's in form
So happy for meddy. Even as a Nadal fan while I was happy for Rafa in AO 2022, I felt bad for Daniil then and especially after. The loss scarred him big time. So happy he is back with a bang. This was a close match stat wise (+2 points to meddy) but he deserved this. Well done 👍
But 38-12 on unforced errors, so not very closed :)))
@@ediccartman7252 well yes, but even then meddy only had a margin of +2 points. So, he didn't always hold easily but his play was phenomenal. 20-12 (winners/UE) is much better than 26-38 for sure.
@@z1az285 + having a positive winner to UE stat is incredible in a match against djokovic especially as a defensive player!

Bro
The rallies in the Zverev/Rublev match are insane.
Zverev doesn't look bad here at all, just looks like my bweh played out of his mind.
Awesome. I like Rublev.
Styles make fights. I think Medvedev is an unusually challenging match up for Djokovic. Normally Djokovic can rely on his boa constrictor style of hitting deep, hard consistent strokes that frustrates the other player into mistakes. But when Medvedev is on, he plays exactly the same way. It's a contest between brick walls, and sometimes Novak blinks first. Fascinating.
Medvedev played an almost perfect game, novok finally lost after 38 won, I knew this day would come sooner or later, but still feel sad he finally lost the match, actually Novak played not that bad.

Minor audio editing fail at 5:44 (no big deal, cant help myself lol)
Also does anyone know what that beeping noise was at 4:00? Heard it a few times this week but idk if its in dubai or if its a transmission issue.
Great to see Zverev back at this level. Massive week for him despite losing today. Rublev can just swing freely with nothing to lose in the final cuz he should have been gone in R2 vs ADF.
And great to see Medvedev back at his peak after a poor 12 months. Really needed to beat Novak here to prove he was back at his best and he did. Nothing to worry about for Novak's fans, peak Medvedev is one of the few players who can beat Djokovic. Not his best day but as weve seen so many times even a sub par Novak is very tough to beat. Well played Daniil!
I think Med is the first player since Roger, Rafa, Murry, Waranka who can really hang with Novak from the baseline, it's SUPER exciting to see. I'm so proud of Rublev and Zverev, they book look amazing and hitting big and yes they both still need a few tweaks on the mental game, they are both staying calmer than I've seen them in past years. Exciting time in men's tennis for SURE!
Dont forget Alcaraz
Thiem

Daniil Medvedev is the best tennis player on the planet right now.(note it)
RUNE CAN DEFEAT HIM SURELY
Only on Hardcourt. He is not even top 5 in clay or Grass. Speed of the surface & bounce of the ball matters a lot in tennis.
@@ididjibadjehaboubacar7395 in your dream👌
@@PraveenKumar-vp4sn On grass he is in the top 5. Last season, even in bad shape, he reached 2 finals on grass courts, this season the results will be even better, and if the Russian players were not banned at Wimblendon, then one could expect at least a semi-final from Maddy this season.
As for clay courts, Andy at first did not know how to play on clay at all, and then he won Roland Garros. Maria Sharapova said she felt like a "cow on ice" on clay and then won 2 French Open titles. Daniil only needs to learn to slide on the clay, and then he will have no equal on this surface.
@@FanatikMr We will see if he improves or not. At the moment Alcaraz, Tsitsipas are definitely better than Medvedev on clay & Grass in next generation. Only time will tell if medvedev can win FO or Wimbledon. I am sure medvedev will win AO once Novak retires.
Medvedev has finally found his way back to top performance! Very likely that he will take at least on GS this year.
Wouldn’t say very likely, he’s very much a hard court player. His game on clay does not cross over well and his grass skills are average. It’s basically either US Open or nothing for Med and there’s a lot of potential US Open winners
Meddy was always the only player on tour who have a decent chance of defeating djoker on hard courts (nadal on clay). H2H 9v5 now. Promising indeed

Awsome..; Medvedev was able to catch the first set early(6-2) from the boss ! However ,he well managed the exchanges and stood with stability from behind the baseline to introduce down the line & cross court unbelievale winners broken by some touches of charm represented in surprising drop-shots..all that with less errors...And finally ,he could complete "The impossible task" and beat *the beast* !..:So *Congratulation Dany*.

Just look at how these two are absolutely enjoying their job. This is what passion feels like.
Meddy was brutal today!
Medvedev is playing as well as he ever has with a lot of confidence and few errors. This year we have three strong contenders in Djokovic, Alcaraz and Medvedev for the No. 1 ranking. Medvedev can climb back to Top 5 with the two US Masters in March where he didn’t do well at all last year.
Good to see Zverev improving. It’ll be tough for him to get back to Top 5 this year but the year is young and he can get a lot of points for all the tournaments he missed after French Open last year.
Medvedev was due a win over Djokovic. I was never really too convinced Djokovic had a hold over him. Even in 2022, with Medvedev playing poorly, both of their matches were really tight and Medvedev arguably should’ve gotten the first if he didn’t get injured. Djokovic blew Medvedev out in Adelaide, but so did Korda at AO. All things considered, Medvedev playing near his best is still a brutal matchup for Djokovic at this stage in his career.
Djokovic had the right game plan, but he just missed too many balls. That’s how it goes when you try to play more aggressively; unforced errors will happen. Djokovic can’t grind Medvedev down anymore, so he’s gotta go for his shots.
Zverev playing good after missing so much time.
Congrats Meddy and Rublev! Very tough matches from both!
While Novak was playing a lot more aggressive than his usual playstyle... Medvedev played at a high level the whole way. Bar Djokovic he really has been the best hard court player for the last few years and one of the few that consistently troubles him.
