Magnificent interview, Viking Samurai 🤺 Matthias Hues is a really cool guest and very humble and down to earth. He's like a gentle giant 🙌 And he has a powerful onscreen presence 💪👍👍
Matthias is one of the nicest humble people around. You can just tell from his interviews and the energy he gives off. Viking S show just keeps getting better by the episode.
It's unbelievable how such a big guy, it's so nice and humble .I remember watching those 80s and 90s martials movies and always you could see him He was like the big bad blond guy in the martial arts movies. I would never expected that some day imma gonna learn his language
I remember Matthias as the evil-looking "bad guy" in a ton of movies. He looked so intimidating that it might have limited his roles. Guys like Van Damme, Stallone, etc look tough, but still can have a bit of that "vulnerable nice guy" look about them. Hues looked like the all business badass. Would have been perfect for Universal Soldier. Funny that we can see he is actually an incredibly nice and cool guy in real life. Great interview, definitely gonna go back and watch some of his classic action movies.
I could listen to Matthias talk all day about his stories, and most of them made me laugh each time. A really down to earth cool guy. And a good storyteller and very comidic.
Good interview ! The OG Matthias seems so cool, nice and has such a great energy. If I was a director or producer, I would make a PG16 action & dark fantasy movie about a badass Viking king with him as the lead. He looks straight from Norse Mythology.
I've been waiting so long for this! Matthias is a true legend & one of the people who inspired me to start working out because I wanted to have cannonball delts & a 6pack just like him. 💪
Great interview. If Matthias wants to set something in Birmingham, who’s he gonna call? Scott Adkins. He would be a huge resource for that area of the Midlands and around. Matthias is brilliant and I could definitely see that picture company he turned down before going out of business, still managed to get in the way of his career. Best of luck to him for the future and hop his mother is okay.
Very sorry that Mattias was not picked as a bad guy in the James Bond movie Tomorrow Never Dies (1997). I have been a fan of the Bond movies for years. That said, I have seen a few movies that Mattias did star in, and I am looking forward to seeing more such as The Last Kumite.
I`m born 1965, know him only as THE ultimate villain, and now i see him as king of the nice guys. thank you viking ! thank you matthias for doing this interview !
Matthias is a lovely man, grew up on his films, fist fighter was the first film i saw with him and he was a great villain. Amazing stories and yet another great interview from you Dave, all the best to Matthias mum
Matthias Hues is such a Gentleman. I grew up watching him giving some great performances in the action movies. He was definitely one of the best villains in action. And by the way he still look great.
This interview with Mathias Hues was so fascinating! Thank you, Viking Samurai, for making it happen. Now we're all just waiting for the most epic interview of all time with you and J.C.V.D! Fingers crossed, it will happen, maybe not very soon, but if life spares, it will. 👀🤞
I loved the movie 'Fist Fighter', Matthias is a wonderful movie villain. This channel is continuing to improve and it was already great. OUTSTANDING WORK mate!
Congratulations for getting the Fabio of martial arts on your show, it must have been an honour for you to hear that he was already a fan of yours. Once again great interview with one of my favorite childhood heroes
Hey buddy, another great video. Another great legend big fan of this guy and he just gave you the ultimate compliment. That's what I've been telling you. You got the looks and the skills to do some of these movies to do all these movies. You're already there buddy and it's going to happen one day. Super proud of you. Keep doing keep pushing it's going to happen
Matthias, "All these pretty girls walk by me like I'm a janitor or something...it was just horrible", LMMFAO!!! and the 6'11" guy hung the producer out the window to show how strong he was....."what an idiot, YOU GOT THE JOB!", SO TRUE.
Thank you! I enjoyed it so much! it's been great, so many interesting anecdotes. I remember how impressed and motivated my friends and I were watching Matthias movies and some of the other guys you mentioned. and having the chance to listen to this talk has been a real pleasure I enjoyed it thoroughly, thank you.
Finally made it all the way through the video. What a humble, gracious, charming guy Matthias is. I’m always really glad to see guys like this find/make success. Continued success, Matthias.
Horror conventions are HUGE. And I Come In Peace can be considered Sci-Fi/Horror. A booth set up right with plenty of I come In Peace stuff would prob do well.
I was blown away by how humble and honest this man was. I of course grew up to his bad guy roles and always thought he was one of the best bad guys there was. But man, he seems like a legit good guy too. And smart. And admits and understands his own limitations... I believe this may be my most enjoyable one so far David. Thanks for sharing. And Matthias, keep moving forward sir! 🙏
Matthias had such an interesting life experience. Always enjoyed his presence on screen. It is a shame we did not see him in more movies. Looks like sometimes is just bad luck x( Sincerely wish him all the best with his new movie.
Matthias you were a freat bad guy and the times you had dialog you did alright, was not bad at all jsut be happy and proud with your accomplishments, you were fun too watch.
Great video! Loved Matthias in no retreat no surrender 2. Such a great villian! An action movie is only as good as its bad guy. And Matthias you seem like a really nice human being.
Wow you want to talk about the guy who was the 1990s villain; this is your man right here.. he's up there with Bolo ; my number one favorite "I come in peace" or Dark Angel which is what they call it now.
I wish they put him in expandables. My brother showed me a bootleg version or dark angel when I was a kid, I asked him why didn’t they make Hues the hero because he picked up Ludgren so easily in the movie :). I finally picked up the US blu ray, I owned a region b of the movie.
Great interview Viking !! Loving the live interviews with your great guests !!! Hues still looks great ! Hopefully you can get Chuck Norris, Lundgren or Brian Thompson soon ??
It is so odd to me that Dolph was such a huge star at least in the action movies. He always seemed to move in slow motion. Nothing against him because I think he is cool. I just remember his fight scenes not being that impressive other than his Drago character.
it was more odd to me that Dolph was already a star after just appearing in the Rocky 4 movie, before even making Masters of the Universe. When Matthias talked to him in front of that restaurant at that period Dolph was already driving in the limo and had bodyguards.
Mathias still looks like a hulk! He was badass as a mean sort of final boss in his movies. I have seen him in movies vs: Billy Blanks, Bolo Yong a.k.a Yang Ze, Dolph Lundren, obviously in that epic I Come In Peace a.k.a Dark Angel, Jalal Merhi, maybe Cynthia Rothrock too (albeit in a very brief fight but I cannot remember) but I am so disappointed that he was never seen in a fight with Jean Claude Van Damme! That would have been a great match-up, and Mathias would have proven to be a tough opponent for J.C.V.D, as tough as Bolo and Dolph. Maybe they could have fought in the Kickboxer movie series, but J.C.V.D's character was killed off by part 2, and Mathias character (Neil Vargus, I think) had just made his debut. 😋🤞
He was also in a movie kind of like bloodsport but they had weapons also the guy from American ninja was in it anyone remember the name of it early 90s
Matthias Hues is a good action star, and a good human being. What a nice guy. I loved all his movies. Best of luck Mattias.
great actor, i remember him in Dolphs Dark Angel, awesome humble dude he is
Yeah he's super nice. I just finished watching the documentary In Search of the last action Heroes and he was the nicest with Adkins
This one was the only actor who could grab Dolph Lundgren and thrown him far.
Strong.
He's a big mfer next to Dolph lol
Magnificent interview, Viking Samurai 🤺 Matthias Hues is a really cool guest and very humble and down to earth. He's like a gentle giant 🙌 And he has a powerful onscreen presence 💪👍👍
What a legend this guy is. He was in so many great movies when I was growing up. The movies from the 80s and 90s are by far the best.
Just want to add, that MH is 64 and is still built like a tank. Can we just appreciate that? Amazing
Matthias is one of the nicest humble people around. You can just tell from his interviews and the energy he gives off. Viking S show just keeps getting better by the episode.
He still holds up well after all these years.
It's unbelievable how such a big guy, it's so nice and humble .I remember watching those 80s and 90s martials movies and always you could see him He was like the big bad blond guy in the martial arts movies. I would never expected that some day imma gonna learn his language

Bolo and Matthias were so unique and iconic that they are once in a lifetime.. u can never duplicate them.. Legends 🙏🏿
This dude is incredibly humble. Wow! & he's also still very very well built n buff. Dude!!
Mathias Hues, Bolo, made the top villains of the 90s. The interview was so great, too bad i missed the life interview.
A fan from Nigeria.
Matthias is a stud. Still in crazy shape after all these years.
Such a humble man. Totally different to how he is cast in the movies. Prayers to Matthias’ mother & family🙏🏻
I could listen to Matthias talk all day about his stories, and most of them made me laugh each time. A really down to earth cool guy. And a good storyteller and very comidic.
same here
Such an amazing, cool, eloquent and humble guy. Great martial arts and action character from our childhood. I really enjoyed the interview.
Matthias hues such rumble guy and still rock, i am fan, great show Vicking samurai
Good interview ! The OG Matthias seems so cool, nice and has such a great energy. If I was a director or producer, I would make a PG16 action & dark fantasy movie about a badass Viking king with him as the lead. He looks straight from Norse Mythology.
Mathias used to scare me when I was growing up. He has such a powerful screen presence. Dope interview man.
I've been waiting so long for this! Matthias is a true legend & one of the people who inspired me to start working out because I wanted to have cannonball delts & a 6pack just like him. 💪
Love I come in Peace. Very underrated movie. The first movie I remember Matthias being in No Retreat No Surrender 2. He's awesome every role he plays.
Matthias Hues is legendary
Matthias always made such a good bad guy in action movies. How can anyone not like him? He's awesome.
Thank you for making such great content. Growing up in the 80s and 90s this brings back good memories.

Awesome interview. See you soon in Outback Gym in Mainz, Matthias.
Matthias Hues is such a Gentleman.

And by the way he still look great.

Great Episode, Matthias is a great person. If he reads this, you did a great job in I Come in Peace and Black Belt. Thanks for posting this my friend.

My favorite episode yet. Love to see Matthias is doing so well.
Congratulations for getting the Fabio of martial arts on your show, it must have been an honour for you to hear that he was already a fan of yours. Once again great interview with one of my favorite childhood heroes
Bad guys in movies are usually nice guys in reality....big fan of this dude!...Dark Angel with Dolph Lungren was one of my favs
This is a wonderful interview so legendary he needs to be in more movies

I remember requesting a Matthias interview months ago. And the Viking delivers.
Such a great interview!
Matthias, "All these pretty girls walk by me like I'm a janitor or something...it was just horrible", LMMFAO!!! and the 6'11" guy hung the producer out the window to show how strong he was....."what an idiot, YOU GOT THE JOB!", SO TRUE.
I admire these guys that just go after their dreams.

great interview and very interesting guest, thanks!
So fun to watch my brother . keep going
Great interview with Matthias Hues. I liked his villain work in films "I COME IN PEACE" and "TC 2000".
Horror conventions are HUGE. And I Come In Peace can be considered Sci-Fi/Horror. A booth set up right with plenty of I come In Peace stuff would prob do well.
Good interview. Matthias is a humble guy. Man, these guys went through some crazy stuff in Hollywood.
Tell Mathias we need a Fist Fighter Sequel.
Sincerely wish him all the best with his new movie.
Matthias you were a freat bad guy and the times you had dialog you did alright, was not bad at all jsut be happy and proud with your accomplishments, you were fun too watch.
As a fellow Actor Matthais would be a dream to hang out with here in L.A. so I'll blast "The Last Kumite" kick starter all over my social media.
I always loved fists of iron,I have it on dvd,and recently rewatched it
Matthias Hues was really good in Bounty Tracker. He looked real comfortable in his fight scenes in movie
Matthias is amazing what a great Guy and a cool action star.
I really enjoyed seeing this interview . What a legend 😃👍
Wow what nice guy ! Not once through out interview Mathias spoke negative about anyone he work with.
When i was young, i was always scared to see the movie "Dark Angel"..😅 those white eyes, terrified me, good times👌
Very generous with his time. Good interview with lots of interesting stories
BTW, Don Wilson didn't learn no "Death Touch" from a Movie Set, Velez I mean Come' On.

This guy is so kool and I do love his movies

When i saw Hues the first time in No retreat no surrender 2, I thought he would have been a perfect M. Bison.
Enjoyed him in power rangers as “The Gaurdian” too
