Don "The Dragon" Wilson is a legend in the martial arts action movies. I remember first seeing him kickboxing with John Cusack in the classic '80s movie Say Anything.
Yes! I’m still disheartened with Don being that he busted Lloyd Dobler’s nose when Lloyd was clearly distracted and let his guard down during a sparring session to pause and see who entered the gym to visit him (inside joke)! 🤣🤣
Don is the real deal and I have met him in person several years back at a local market. Dude is a super nice guy and man, he can talk all day about his time as a kick boxer and on the road stories.

Fun fact, Frank Dux actually trained in Pai Lum Tao (same system Don Wilson is a black belt in) back in the day. Only made it to a green sash before he quit. That’s also when Pai Lum participated in San Shao tournaments in Maryland regularly. For those that don’t know, in these tournaments you compete full contact on a 6 foot platform like the depicted in Bloodsport. I’ve had the pleasure of seeing The Dragon fight in person and attend his seminars. The Dragon would kill Dux. Actually, The Dragon is so skilled and nice, he would just embarrass him.
My good friend and Sfu at the time showed me a picture of Dux at a Pai Lum event. I had seen Bloodsport but never knew what he looked like. He’s the one that told me this.
@VikingSamurai You don't believe Frank either. I understand you can't call him out in your interviews, otherwise he won't return to your show. But we all know Frank is a charlatan.
It's always interesting to hear what "Don The Dragon Wilson" has to say. Some marital arts fans say Don is bitter about his movie career, maybe Don is and maybe he is not bitter, but Don The Dragon Wilson is a true legend.
you can't be bitter about a movie career that is now considered part of the cult classic movies and some of the best of the genre of that period. And I don't believe Don is the type of person who would hold onto that negativity when he had nothing to prove. It was all proven before he ever did a movie.
In fact, if I remember correctly, the one who said that Van Damme trained with Alexio and that Wilson couldn't with him, it wasn't Van Damme, but the person who manages his facebook, however, and honestly I also think that Van Damme at his best moment he would have easily beaten him, the fact that he has not dedicated himself completely to martial arts does not mean that he has not been good, in fact, in the face of a possible fight he would have trained, also the one who seems to not know Van Damme's background is Wilson himself, since it seems that he has not seen videos of JC fighting even though there are not many. Van Damme's ability is undeniable whether Wilson likes it or not.

I’m a fan of Don The Dragon. Respect him a lot. But, I don’t feel it’s fair to lump Van Damme in his same perceived category. Of what he considers to be legit. This is 0 shade to Frank Dux either. Just a point. Van Damme has one of his teachers in Belgium. Speaking very highly of his abilities. What he had accomplished on the local Belgium Fighting circuit. Can’t think of the guys name. But he’s been shown in a lot of Van Dammes documentary type videos over the years. Some say Point fighting. Some say Full Contact. It all matters imho. All very relevant. Because it speaks to the evolution and history. Of what we know today as Combat Sports. Don comes off as jealous to me on that take.

Great show. Don is a true legend. We used to go to fight events together with Stephen Quadros, etc. Anyway, he spoke a lot of truth here. A lot of truth. Period. Keep up the great work.
I saw Don fight live in England 35 years ago when he was the champ at a WAKO England vs America event. Also Jerry Rhome, Troy and Bryan Dorsey and Don was awesome. He had this technique where he looked like he was turning away and the opponent rushed in and off the lead leg chambered his side kick and nailed the guy flush in the face. Great to see him real.
Honestly i never knew who frank dux was at the time of the movie Blood Sport and i thought Van Dam was an outstanding actor in martial arts, i never assumed he was the greatest fighter in the world. But van dam and bruce lee were the ambassadors of martial arts to the world. Regardless of what anybody says.
Interesting Don mentioned the Battle of Atlanta. I was too young to go but my dad g a friend of his went to one (not sure if it was only one event or if there were a few). It turned into a near riot in the audience according to my dad 😂 The rules, as my dad recalled them to me years ago, seemed to favor striking & kinda mirrored boxing rules but a bit looser. I believe throws were allowed but I 5hink dad said ground fighting was not allowed or maybe only allowed a for a few seconds. I guess since they allowed fighters from different styles that it was kind of a precursor to the early UFC. UPDATE I Googled it & it seems the Battle of Atlanta is still a karate tournament. But it certainly isn't the wild event my dad witnessed anymore.
So, it was Don, who trolled, Dux? 😆 BTW, Some underground non-professiónal tournaments are more hardcore than professional tournaments, even to this day!
Like the content, should do more videos of guys talking about the good martial artists that guys like Don Wilson knew and trained with, fought against, how they trained etc. I talk to my dad and father In law all the time and pick their brains on how they were training. My dad never competed but was big into kickboxing and self defense he met a lot of top martial artists back in the day. My father in law did kung fu and knew a lot of good masters as well. I learned about Mas Oyama from my dad. I actually found it interesting Dux brought that up. Idk if I can believe him especially if caught lying. But Oyama was legit and had huge following of really good martial artists who were successful fighters. Francisco Filho and Andy Hug I saw in K1 I believe it was when I was little. Had no idea they came from Kyokushin until way later. But yea you should try to get ahold of Fred Dedgerberg if you can. You would def want to talk to him. That’s the academy my dad trained at in Chicago
I taught Obi Wan Kenobi all about the high ground. Someone broke in and stole all the training footage, but the move he used to kill Darth Vader, he learned from me.
I had the titular line in Star Wars. When Luke and Vader are Battling. I walk in front of the camera and turn to it and say “ I’m sick and tired of all these Star Wars” and walk off. It’s in the directors cut
Viking Samurai … Where are you from? US or Canada? I‘m from Germany. You made up a great idea and great content. I would have one idea but i don‘t know if that would be good 😊. You should invite Frank - Sheldon - Don - Van Damme etc. in a conference call where you will be the moderator. What you think about this idea? The risk is that they would maybe argue to heavy or maybe even better they would make peace and become friends after sorting all out ✌🏼
I agree with Don The Dragon Wilson. Frank supposedly has a lot of fights but there's no film or video that can be easily seen. You can seen lots of Don's fights. People like the romanticism of mythical fighters but if it can't be verified then I tend to not believe it.
I also forgot to include my best friend of 48 years Ron Dodson. Ron was an eight dan and like a brother to me. He was also one of the toughest martial artists i ever knew. RIP Ron, i miss you.
Me personally I don’t like Alan Goldberg but frank shouldn’t have lied on him like that it’s wrong but what to expect from a guy that lied about his background and continues to lie smh great video samurai I like that you get both sides of the situation 🙏🏾🔥🔥🔥
The Dragon Don Wilson is a professional light heavyweight 11 time world kickboxing champion...He is a living legend....i believe in Don Wilson The Dragon......Don..already confirmed that Frank Dux kumite championship based on a lie..
Don was an excellent kickboxer for his day. Dux is a kumite fighter. If I had to bet it all. I would say Dux vy either ridge hand chop. Helicopter kick or eye or throat pluck. Within 10 seconds
Ive always liked Don Wilson The Dragon as kickboxer he can really fight and act he very humble person one day would like to meet him and train with him.
Nice interview. Don Wilson made a great point about martial artists on screen. Jason Statham was not a competitive martial artist or champion, but he is definitely skilled in his martial art. That's what's important to convey on screen and it comes across in his movies. Bye the way, you're looking much more vascular now compared to that older video!
Funny that people still talk about Frank Dux and the Kumite. I didn't believe that was a real story when I saw the movies about it when I was a Teenager. They are good movies though, quite entertaining, so thanks to Frank Dux for that.
I don't hate mister Dux even if his whole life is a lie. Like every other skeptics, all I'd like to see is a photo of a young grasshopper mister Dux standing next to his then old ninja shidoshi Senzo Tanaka. Even Steven Segal has more credibility than mister Dux, because we've seen a young Segal standing next to his aikido sensei in a photograph.
Nice interview. Always thought Dux's stories were made up. Just because you have an idea for movie script doesn't mean you have to have had the experiences of the character. Don is a cool guy and legitimate fighter.
The Kumite continues to this day & Viking surely has been a spectator at some point. When he is the next action star he will give his insights to interviewers.
Love Frank and his contributions to the martial arts movie industry…o even like him for all the crazy stories and claims he has…but if they were to ever match up in the ring …I am 110% sure Don would handle business-and it would even be close. U can’t get any more proven than Don when it comes to full contact striking.
Hey man sorry Ive been radio silent , awesome video. There does seem to be a strong fued between Don and Frank Also with the video of Frank Training let's be honest unless it's rehearsed and practised a lot of movements look a little crappy and clumsy. I have seen practitioners very experienced look clumsy when off the cuff videoing . Whe. You see perfect attacks and defences is when they are practised and videos over and over again.
Dux actually has been in a fight. Zane Frazier kicked his ass in front of Rorian Gracie and Art Davie. Apparently they were so impressed by how quickly and easily Zane dispatched Dux that they invited him to compete at UFC 1.
Bro,I really like you and your channel and the discussions you have, Don hates everyone...guys so jealous of other people's fame and accolades that I Turley doubt he is a master in martial Arts, gather a master of fighting, but that does not make one a master as his spirt is not tranquil. Look up Master Scott Kiefer of Carol Stream I'll. Or Master Han Suk Lee,bronze medalist in Judo , Both men were exceptional at both aspects of Martial arts. Note I'm not sure if Master Kiefer is still with us. Continue with your great work!!! Peace!
I still think. Dux probably fought like a person or two... probably in a bet . Underground...and that opponent has since died or drugs or mafia or just homless... I think he fought in this manner 1 or 2 times... fought regular people like me and you.. no arena or anything... and I think it happened maybe 2 times... cux it explains the lack of opponents that never came out and said they fought. And I think frank got the idea he could do this for ever for money and how great it would be to be the king of Underground fights.. and he made the story and sold it.. I think that's the most logical way it could've happened
23:06 ...that was a great question...."what would be the ultimate goal here " as regard to dux ....you can see the question caught wilson off gaurd ....and that's the thing ...what difference does it make to all these people weather or not dux is telling the truth ...what is it that they all want ?
Someone gets more upset by fakes than I do. LoL 😂. Great Video VS. Also ....I seen some say bad about the interviews.....I'd like to say I enjoy them. Take Care 👍😁👍

I had the privilege to meet Sifu Goldberg once through my Karate and Kung-fu teachers. He seemed like a nice and strong person.
So, it was Don, who trolled, Dux? 😆 BTW, Some underground non-professiónal tournaments are more hardcore than professional tournaments, even to this day!
One of your best videos
Thanks!
Na, I like the feud between Van Damme vs Wilson and the craziness feud between Dux & Seagal. Let's go with that. 🙏🤪🥋💥
Another gem video.
Yeah and I can contest it because behind the rocks 🪨 I watched the saber fight and farted by accident and thus was born Fart 💨 Fu. The art of farting.
I had the titular line in Star Wars. When Luke and Vader are Battling. I walk in front of the camera and turn to it and say “ I’m sick and tired of all these Star Wars” and walk off.
It’s in the directors cut
franks excuse to step into the ring is that he`s old now lol.. don is old as well.. Don the Dragon would crUsh dux in seconds.
One of the best platforms period.
The fact that Don keeps saying VD was never a champion of/at anything is almost boggling to me, but good interview all the same.👍
Reminds me of "Enter the Dragon" or even "Men of the Dragon" TV movie of the 70's.🤔
At least we are all entertained 🤣🤣🤣
Viking Samurai … Where are you from? US or Canada? I‘m from Germany. You made up a great idea and great content. I would have one idea but i don‘t know if that would be good 😊. You should invite Frank - Sheldon - Don - Van Damme etc. in a conference call where you will be the moderator. What you think about this idea? The risk is that they would maybe argue to heavy or maybe even better they would make peace and become friends after sorting all out ✌🏼
I would have loved to have seen Don the Dragon Wilson do an mma fight. Maybe he could fight either Ken Shamrock or Royce Gracie in Bellator 300?
What don is saying is really funny. Lol I could listen at him all day
I agree with Don The Dragon Wilson.
Me personally I don’t like Alan Goldberg but frank shouldn’t have lied on him like that it’s wrong but what to expect from a guy that lied about his background and continues to lie smh great video samurai I like that you get both sides of the situation 🙏🏾🔥🔥🔥
i saw that post.i was like what is all this lol.
The Dragon Don Wilson is a professional light heavyweight 11 time world kickboxing champion...He is a living legend....i believe in Don Wilson The Dragon......Don..already confirmed that Frank Dux kumite championship based on a lie..
We need the Dragon vs Dux kumite!
At least a verbal Kumite, would love to get them on together!
@Viking Samurai yes, do that!
I agree
Agree
Don was an excellent kickboxer for his day.
Dux is a kumite fighter.
If I had to bet it all. I would say Dux vy either ridge hand chop. Helicopter kick or eye or throat pluck.
Within 10 seconds
It's probably a story Don's right.
I got to mention you for got the movie The Quest thats one of his tournaments to that he did say that he went to that tournament as well.
Ive always liked Don Wilson The Dragon as kickboxer he can really fight and act he very humble person one day would like to meet him and train with him.
Dude, if I won all those Kumites, I wouldn't even think twice about showing everybody the videos.
I've gotten leaner, dropped around 5 lbs, added an extra day of bag work to the workout week.
That was a clean plug, lol
There does seem to be a strong fued between Don and Frank
Also with the video of Frank Training let's be honest unless it's rehearsed and practised a lot of movements look a little crappy and clumsy. I have seen practitioners very experienced look clumsy when off the cuff videoing .
Whe. You see perfect attacks and defences is when they are practised and videos over and over again.
Don looking at you with pity and patience lol. Viking looking like a young Frank
"This is not Tennis"
Also, I’ve got friends that use that supplement too. They absolutely love it
Don Wilson one of the few action stars who were actually fighters in real life
Dux has actually never even been in a fight. Don't know how that's possible but it is
Dux actually has been in a fight. Zane Frazier kicked his ass in front of Rorian Gracie and Art Davie. Apparently they were so impressed by how quickly and easily Zane dispatched Dux that they invited him to compete at UFC 1.
Has he said that?
🤣id love to see George Dillman and Frank Dux run a seminar. 🤣
I'd go!
Bro,I really like you and your channel and the discussions you have,
Don hates everyone...guys so jealous of other people's fame and accolades that I Turley doubt he is a master in martial Arts, gather a master of fighting, but that does not make one a master as his spirt is not tranquil.
Look up Master Scott Kiefer of Carol Stream I'll.
Or Master Han Suk Lee,bronze medalist in Judo ,
Both men were exceptional at both aspects of Martial arts.
Note I'm not sure if Master Kiefer is still with us.
Continue with your great work!!!
Peace!
I still think. Dux probably fought like a person or two... probably in a bet
Thanks man!
