Dragons Dogma 2... I have the same excitement for this as I had for Elden Ring 2 years ago. I don't expect it to review well, though and I can already see a lot of people trash talking it because they didn't get what they expected.
The first game was as obtuse as it could get with its systems and it still got a high score from critics because it was just that good.. I really doubt DD2 will be poorly received, most people getting it know exactly what they are getting into
Look at BG3, love it or hate it, it is inarguable that it is not everyone's kind of game. DD2 is getting that "nerd culture" push. It's gonna be received amazingly, because the mainstream sees that it's a release that the right people are waiting on. How the mainstream actually feels about it will probably be very different than how the mainstream will review it.
Did you forget about Expeditions: Mudrunner? I'm a massive Mudrunner/Snowrunner fan and cannot wait to see how they've improved the series. Only a day to go!!!
Unicorn Overlord was a game I've kept an eye on since seeing trailers for it. After playing the demo, it almost took all my excitement away from FF7 Rebirth as I kinda just wanted to see more of UO than FF7 Rebirth and I've been ecstatic about FF7 Rebirth for a long time now.

Already pre-ordered Rise of the Ronin. Going to wait a bit on Dragon's Dogma 2, 1 for the hefty price tag to decrease a bit as our currency is weak atm, and 2 getting the game with DLC is always nice. Outcast is giving me Mass Effect vibes.
Damn, Unicorn Overlord not on PC?! I've been trying to find a game that hits all these marks to play on my Steam Deck (which has sat unused for months now). There are lots of games that hit one or two, but this looks like what I want!
I'm going to wait till after Dragons Dogma 2 has had some reviews. Hype has taught me lessons. No need to rush. Also I have trepidation over DENOOOVO. The main reason why I'm not getting Helldivers 2, it has a vicious anti cheak malware.
I don't think I've seen a game in modern times that is coming to every system but PC, particularly when it's on Xbox, but Unicorn Overlord seems to be doing just that. It's a shame though, because that's the place I'd be most likely to try it.
@ACGreviews Oh damn indeed. UEVR really is a game changer. Especially for games that aren't fps titles. Just playing things like Little Nightmares or Crash Bandicoot 4 in VR transforms the experience. It really is crazy just how easy it is to use and the insane amount of titles it supports.
@johncapone8843 Unfortunately Windows does flag it as a virus even though it definitely isn't. You just need to go into defender settings amd restore the file. Should be fine after that.
@ACGreviews 😂😂 Capcom is usually quite reliable, with game releases being less buggy, and hopefully, this will be too. Played since the old 360 time, and after it shut down 2018 i got the xbox one version and still have a blast on it today.
If EA had to screw up the Battlefront reboots instead of a much needed and anticipated Battlefront III, the least someone could do is remaster the old games with quality of life and additions. Very excited to watch those wristrockets again. 👌
I agree I was a die hard BF fan. Now I can't even play the latest installments. I would love a remastered BF for next gen consoles. BFBC2. BAttlefields 3 or 4.
@@Dwatts24111 My brother and I played the first ones for more than 10 years on more than one game system. The new ones were little more than a disappointment. All they had to do was replicate the same games with a few new maps and updated graphics and they still screwed it up.
Man, my bday month getting much much love this year. I got games I want to play ever week dropping. FF7, Unicorn Overlord, Dragons Dogma, Raise of Ronin , and to lesser hype Thaumature, Crown Wars, Outcast, and Outpost.
@@ACGreviews Yeah, I really don’t know which game had that release date first, but if I were Team Ninja, I certainly wouldn’t have chosen that date knowing DD2 was planned for then. And if RoR had that date first, it would behoove TN to suck it up and change it. If it’s good I’m sure RoR will eventually sell well, but it’s seriously overshadowed by DD2 right now. For me, RoR will remain on my wish list (unless it’s a ‘wait for sale or never touch’. 🙂) until I can get through the slew of other games coming in the new few months… I ain’t got time for all this...
Pro tip: If you get open-world fatigue, I'd recommend entirely skipping side-quests in Horizon. I loved the story but that game is bloated for content:D
I can't believe they're keeping Rise of Ronin exclusive, along with Ghost of Tsushima. This essentially guarantees Ubisoft is going to have undeserved success with Assassin's Creed Red, no matter how bland it is, because people won't have a valid point of comparison.
I would love to see you get as much information as you can on a game coming out this month called Outpost: Infinity Siege. It looks like it combines everything I love into one game but I don't know a ton about it yet.

I really really hope Rise of Ronin will have a good story. So far, Team Ninja's games have good premises on their games but abysmal storytelling. Characters come and go as they please without proper arcs, the games are more prioritizing on history events than actual character developments or emotional moments. Nioh 2 is the only who has an actual character development with its villain, but even that is still serviceable at best. Hope Ronin will actually make us connect with the characters

Battlefront is a Legend and Dragons Dogma 2 I have been waiting for, well since I finished the outstanding original so I will be playing the second it releases
I’m looking forward to DD2 as much as the next person, but I’m growing wary of the hype. The graphics have been updated a bit, but I’m struck by how much it still looks like DD1. And while the promise of interactions in a living world are exciting, they are also the kind of promises we’ve heard from many other rpgs, which are rarely as great as billed. Let’s see. I do hope it lives up to the claims, but I’m tempering my expectations.
I personally like the graphics as it maintains the feel of the first game just more modern, but I get the skepticism. Rpgs at this scale are always difficult to pull off. The first one was great but was very unfinished.

I put easily a thousand hours into team ninja games over the past few years. This might be their first release in a long time that i will have to pass on. Love their games but i am not going to buy a PS5 just for that title. Still, march looking crazy.

Total War Shogun 2 is a good strategy game set in the era. But it's a strategy game probably not what you're looking for. Nioh 1 and 2 and I think some of the Dynasty Warriors games are set in the era too but until Rise of The Ronin comes out nothing else that's not some type of strategy game. Oh almost forgot about Onimusha, old character action game with some horror sprinkled in.

Gotta be honest if you're looking to scratch the ARPG itch I'd recommend Last Epoch, which is new, or Grim Dawn, which while older is getting another expansion later this year, instead. D4 just isn't a good ARPG imo. Path of Exile might be up your alley but it can be difficult for new players to get accustomed to its systems it's basically considered a requirement by it's community to follow a build guide while learning the game which I'm not a fan of personally.
The Thaumaturge is one I'm personally looking forward to, seems like a cool Isometric RPG about a mage in 20th-century Warsaw.

@@ACGreviews bubba, have you seen any gameplay yet of South Park? I want to preorder it so badly but it being $30 and us not having seen ANY true gameplay is making me incredibly skeptical. Don’t get me wrong, I haven’t seen a bad South Park game ever but there’s a first for everything LOL!

What are your overall thoughts on Diablo 4 ACG?
I have PC gamepass ultimate and plan to play it but I'll probably have to create another launcher

Gotta be honest if you're looking to scratch the ARPG itch I'd recommend Last Epoch, which is new, or Grim Dawn, which while older is getting another expansion later this year, instead. D4 just isn't a good ARPG imo.
Path of Exile might be up your alley but it can be difficult for new players to get accustomed to its systems it's basically considered a requirement by it's community to follow a build guide while learning the game which I'm not a fan of personally.
