Many of these are in the first Royler-Renzo book. The great thing is Roy shows them in motion with flawless technique. Beautiful stuff. These are basic but that's what great BJJ is built on. Basics win fights.

I appreciate the simplicity - easy to visualize and apply (rather than 10 to 20 step moves). I have put many of your videos in action at class and they work beautifully (looking forward to applying these escapes this week). My confidence is building because of your videos - thank you!

I won't lie to you, in all of my experiences the "hook the leg" is where it's at when it comes to reliability. Maybe it's just me but that seems to work best.

There is no need to point fingers, especially at something so vague. It's not easy to teach what you've learned. This happens in many areas of life. There are plenty of people who are very smart and can learn things very well but few can pass it on with relative ease such as Professor Dean.

once i took my friend to one of my bjj lessons. he did this to me even though he never had seen it before. i couldn't get his head down because he pressed his head against mine, so I used my flexibiity and then i bent my leg over his head, and then I pulled him down.

  • @raminahed1
