I have no words to thank you! Here in Ethiopia, there is no any bjj school. Such kind of videos are a great gift for people like us. Thanks a lot Sensei Ron.

Great move at the end. Only defence i know of to defend triangle is to stand. Just simply switching leg over face for armbar is so simple but so crazy/elegant.

Another option for helping lock in the triangle is to drive the opponent's head toward the ground when you first hook behind the head. By pulling across, you're turning your hips which makes it a little easier to lock in behind the knee.

Your instructional videos are really good. I wish I could do the triangle as good as you. I find it always very hard to complete though, as I have shorter legs and I'm often practicing with meatheads that are much bigger than me. lol

Thanks for the tutorial, I see what I was doing wrong now. Maybe if you state WHY a move is important (what the consequence is if not done) it'll get through to more people. While doing this I found if my right leg was over their neck my wrestling partner would just fall over to my left and I'd lose the triangle. The foot on the hip with left foot was very helpful to avoiding that.

@Sindrijo i find theres always a what if situation. so to answer your question, of course you could do that, but if a jiu jitsu guy really knows what hes doing, hell know how to defend it.

Oh and when you go for that armbar-triangle, are you going for that arm bar hoping/expecting them to pull their arm out or is the switch to the triangle just a backup?

The pivot motion into an arm lock while on one's neck and head can be dangerous for the performer. I've seen guys get bent backwards hurting their neck in competions. Be careful with that one. Myself, I won't put myself in that postion. I'd release and maybe take him back down with a De LA Riva.
