Mercedes Car Window Reset

I tried several different techniques I saw on here to reset the driver side window on my 2008 C300, none of them worked. Then I tried yours and it worked the first time...thank you.

It worked! I held mine down for 35 seconds with window all the way up first and then 35 seconds with window all the way down. Thanks a million!

First I had same issue on both front windows. Got use to it and never tried to fix it and in about a month things start getting funnier and all 4 windows started cooperating but in the opposite directions + some extra random movements 😮 (everytime in exact same pattern). Not the best experience, but something makes you think "oh, feels like there is secret button combination to get this fixed" 😅
Anyway, after watching this video, I guess I saved myself new pair of shoes money 😊😂
From other hand, when similar issue happened to VW, involved door panel disassembling and some window movement parts replacement. As an additional surprise you are getting plenty of time managing how to put back the door panel properly. 😮‍💨
Thats my personal experience and I just might get lucky, but cant hide the fact that premium brand cars are not necessary related to expensive repairs. Hope more MB owners first try to google if any funny issues, before visiting the repair shop.

Window tip worked for my back window just had to try it a few times with 2sec-5sec-10sec holding back switch periods. Eventually it worked. Thank you

I'd add that sometimes the malfunction is where the window goes up but then comes down literally halfway.

It helped with my 2012 Mercedes e350, Thank you! I still have grinding noise problem when rolling it up and down, sounds like rocks stuck in between the glass.

The noise you are hearing is the window mechanism wire that has unraveled , just replaced mine yesterday

Hi. With the car off, turn the key to the ignition on position (just before starting) but DO NOT START engine.
Then go through what I showed. Window up, hold up for 10 seconds. Window down, hold for 10 seconds.
Fixed!

Ah. It sounds like there is an underlying issue that needs to be fixed. You may need to have the door trim off to have a look. Common issues are water related. If you have got rusty connectors just cleaning them can avoid having to replace parts, but you will have to get the door panel open to get to them.

Might be dirt in the master switch or s loose wire. You'll have to pop the switch unit out and try moving the connectors

I had to let it come down an inch and then roll up and hold for like 20sec, then down for 20sec, all the way up and hold, press hard once to go down. Then it fixed it

I have 2013 MB E350 4Matic. Few months ago I had my car battery replaced by outside well known service center and not from the dealer. The dealer was asking for $800 for regular Service B, and $400 to reset this window. They did all the computer diagnostics, but they could not figure out how to reset a passenger side power window from rolling in the opposite direction when the button is pressed and it does not close all the way up.
I tried this reset window trip in this video, but it does not work for my car. What should I do?

Turn the car off, then hold down the lock button on the Key Fob. It will go up. It doesn’t fix the control , but it will get the window up.

Good tip. Works well unless it is a dodgy motor, or more likely connectors.
