Since Sunset had been redeemed by saving the human world not once, but thrice, after which, she was given an unknown Element of Harmony, possibly Redemption. Starlight is an extremely similar case to Sunset's redemption senario. If redemption is a possibly Element of Harmony, would it on be fitting for Starlight to one day represent the element of Redemption? Starlight has already saved Equestria once, two more time may grant her that title. I also have evidence to suggest that it is a certainty that Starlight is going to become an Element of Harmony. In one of the season 7 episodes, the map within Twilight's castle, which guides the Mane Six to friendship problems all across the world, which have only signaled the Elements of Harmony due to being strictly tied to the Elements of Harmony, had summoned Starlight Glimmer to the Canterlot. Note, the map only guides THE ELEMENTS, it does not just select any random pony off the street. Starlight is either going to be part of the Elements of Harmony in the coming future or there is an even greater role she will play in days to come.

[not to mention the cost of both the material and man hours] Those statues are usually done of hollow semi-noble metal like cooper with a reinforced steel structure on the inside. -> But because it is supposed to last hundreds of years [to prevent some "genious" to use the "degraded state" of it as an excuse to place a parking lot]; it is imperative that it would be restored as a fully solid block to eventually remain as an "historically valuable" piece of art resistant to the elements (so the real important thing under it remains unnafected by politics).
Actually, someone removed the small piece of the horse´s leg that remained in place after Midnight Sparkle destroyed the rest [this explains why Daydream Shimmer´s "dimensional healing beam" did not fixed it, as the "damage" to the portal that led to the magical leaking was done after the events of Friendship Games]; that broken leg was still visible when Princess Twilight came back from the S5 finale.

Judging by Sunset calling Starlight, Twilight's student, this must take place in season 6. I am guessing it's during the Dungeons and Discords episode when all six went on a friendship trip to see the Yaks.
It would be a great excuse for Starlight not being there on the Castle to "ruin" the "guys night" [her encounter with Sunset should happen at the same time the mane six, Discord, Spike and BigMac are in the train station]. -> But it is NOT the case: Starlight said they go out because of a "Friendship Problem" (it could be a random request from the cutie map asking for all 6 of them, but it was more likely their second travel to Yakyakistan in baloon to assist Pinkie Pie [S7E11]).
Except Starlight is no longer Twilight's student in season 7, so it would have to take place in season 6. So this makes it a good reason why Starlight wasn't around often in sEason 6. She was off visiting her new friend Sunset.
We do not know how often Princess Twilight writtes back to Sunset [or if she tells her everything that happens back in Equestria]. Given Starlight Glimmer´s lines on this special; it may be posible for her to just not wanting address all of the details that she _"is not technically a student anymore, but still living in the Castle and under the tutelage of Princess Twilight anyways..."_ Theoretically; for the CHS gang there was no actual difference because they were not expected to interact with Starlight on the first place; so it would be reasonable for Princess Twilight to not mention the events of the S7 opener [unlike the S6 finale, as that was the second ocasion she was "unreacheable" against her will; she would write asking if something else happened at CHS when she was captured]. -> The humane 7 knew about Starlight because Princess Twilight had to explain why she was not available through the Friendship Games when she met her counterpart at the end credits. This would include the"defeating" of Starlight Glimmer through friendship and making her a student [as it would be a follow up question that either Sunset or humane!Applejack would ask if she forgot to mention it].
But also remember, these three episodes were in development for awhile, so pretty much all of season 7 wouldn't have happened yet. The original goal for making money was to raise money to go to Camp Everfree.

Digital Adventurer but what happens in case one world has a grave emergency so the human versions need to go into the other without warning, also how would communication between both worlds be possible if the channel wasn't always open?
Definitely my favorite out of the bunch. The only downside to this episode is that Sunset didn't get to meet Celestia and talk to her, maybe one day though. But yeah, this was an awesome episode, loved it. Great reaction and can't wait for more! XD.
I have a theory that Sunset already said everything she wanted to say to Princess Celestia back in Rainbow Rocks [when she used the book to send a message to Princess Twilight]. Her logic was that Princess Celestia should be the one reading the book first. Unless Sunset first managed to convince her about their noble intentions (preventing a situation were her would ignore Sunset´s request of relaying the rest of the message because of hurt feelings from reopening her old wounds); there would be a risk of never receiving an answer with information about "The Sirens". [Sunset was not expecting Princess Twilight to get the message directly, nor physically coming back to help, but at least little data may have being enough to start a resistance or counterattack]. While it is posible that Princess Twilight NEVER informed Princess Celestia about this "initial message" [perhaps not wanting Sunset to talk with her for selfish reasons ]; it would be risky to do so since all of Princess Twilight´s friends (and Zoidberg/Starlight) already know about the current rig on the mirror. -> The most likely scenario is that after Rainbow Rocks, Princess Twilight took the book out of the mirror and show it to Princess Celestia [who read it and then wrote an answer to Sunset]. -----> There would never be a "lacrimogenous" encounter between Sunset and Princess Celestia because both of them already "amended fences" of their broken friendship "remotely".
Ugh I really hope not. Something that so many people; including myself have been waiting for is for Sunset and Celestia to meet again. It would suck if they explained oh we already talked before, at least that's how I personally feel. But what you said does make some sense; as much as it sucks that it does, in fact make sense. I just would love to see pony Sunset and pony Celestia talk to each other, even if it's not about Sunset's mistakes.
One thing is sure. If Sunsets doppleganger is alive, being in a movie will make sure that she knows about this Sunset. So if we don't get her within the next few episodes(or next movie whatever happens first) We will finally know that she either never existed or is dead and Sunset took over her life

Judging by Sunset calling Starlight, Twilight's student, this must take place in season 6. I am guessing it's during the Dungeons and Discords episode when all six went on a friendship trip to see the Yaks.
It would be a great excuse for Starlight not being there on the Castle to "ruin" the "guys night" [her encounter with Sunset should happen at the same time the mane six, Discord, Spike and BigMac are in the train station].
-> But it is NOT the case: Starlight said they go out because of a "Friendship Problem" (it could be a random request from the cutie map asking for all 6 of them, but it was more likely their second travel to Yakyakistan in baloon to assist Pinkie Pie [S7E11]).
Except Starlight is no longer Twilight's student in season 7, so it would have to take place in season 6. So this makes it a good reason why Starlight wasn't around often in sEason 6. She was off visiting her new friend Sunset.

Given Starlight Glimmer´s lines on this special; it may be posible for her to just not wanting address all of the details that she _"is not technically a student anymore, but still living in the Castle and under the tutelage of Princess Twilight anyways..."_
Theoretically; for the CHS gang there was no actual difference because they were not expected to interact with Starlight on the first place; so it would be reasonable for Princess Twilight to not mention the events of the S7 opener [unlike the S6 finale, as that was the second ocasion she was "unreacheable" against her will; she would write asking if something else happened at CHS when she was captured].
-> The humane 7 knew about Starlight because Princess Twilight had to explain why she was not available through the Friendship Games when she met her counterpart at the end credits.
This would include the"defeating" of Starlight Glimmer through friendship and making her a student [as it would be a follow up question that either Sunset or humane!Applejack would ask if she forgot to mention it].
But also remember, these three episodes were in development for awhile, so pretty much all of season 7 wouldn't have happened yet. The original goal for making money was to raise money to go to Camp Everfree.

I have a theory that Sunset already said everything she wanted to say to Princess Celestia back in Rainbow Rocks [when she used the book to send a message to Princess Twilight].
Her logic was that Princess Celestia should be the one reading the book first.
Unless Sunset first managed to convince her about their noble intentions (preventing a situation were her would ignore Sunset´s request of relaying the rest of the message because of hurt feelings from reopening her old wounds); there would be a risk of never receiving an answer with information about "The Sirens".
[Sunset was not expecting Princess Twilight to get the message directly, nor physically coming back to help, but at least little data may have being enough to start a resistance or counterattack].
While it is posible that Princess Twilight NEVER informed Princess Celestia about this "initial message" [perhaps not wanting Sunset to talk with her for selfish reasons ]; it would be risky to do so since all of Princess Twilight´s friends (and Zoidberg/Starlight) already know about the current rig on the mirror.
-> The most likely scenario is that after Rainbow Rocks, Princess Twilight took the book out of the mirror and show it to Princess Celestia [who read it and then wrote an answer to Sunset].
-----> There would never be a "lacrimogenous" encounter between Sunset and Princess Celestia because both of them already "amended fences" of their broken friendship "remotely".
Ugh I really hope not. Something that so many people; including myself have been waiting for is for Sunset and Celestia to meet again. It would suck if they explained oh we already talked before, at least that's how I personally feel. But what you said does make some sense; as much as it sucks that it does, in fact make sense. I just would love to see pony Sunset and pony Celestia talk to each other, even if it's not about Sunset's mistakes.
One thing is sure. If Sunsets doppleganger is alive, being in a movie will make sure that she knows about this Sunset.
