Seriously, after the first movie, I think that Sunset is basically the fuel that the Equestria Girls series runs on. She's just the best and it's great to see her get better as a character.
It’s not that she believed all along that they were meant to have the geodes/magic, but rather that they were meant to have the geodes all along. It’s different. One suggests she knew it from the start (obviously false), the other just means now she believes the geodes were meant to be theirs in the first place. Like how the Elements of Harmony were bonded to the mane 6 all along- they always represented the elements, which is something they don’t find out until later in life.
Sunset's willingness to embrace the magic and help her friends do it too makes perfect sense. She _is_ a Unicorn after all. She probably misses her magic, and even forgets when she visits Equestria.

More importantly, remember that Sunset grew up as a unicorn, in Equestria. Magic used to be a part of her everyday life and an integral part of her being. Imagine how much she must have missed it.
I just now realized that all of them, minus maybe Sunset, would be perfect for the military in that world. Pinkie touches sprinkles and makes bombs. Rainbow is lightning fast. Equip her with a spear or sword, or even some explosives. Applejack is insanely strong, just mount a couple tank guns on her shoulders and put a trigger mechanism in her hands. Fluttershy can communicate with animals, she could convince squirrels and other creatures to spy for them. Rarity can make nigh impenetrable shields just from her thoughts alone. Twilight can do pretty much EVERYTHING. She's magic so she can levitate all the weapons of the entire army to be a one woman army. As for the "Sequel tease" with more magic leaking out of the mirror... HASBRO, GET ON IT. >:

There's one plot hole that I'm still questioning about these EG films: "Where is Sunset's doppelgänger?" I can't help but think that our Sunset is gonna have to leave the human world eventually, just like Twilight; with the whole "upsetting the balance of this alternate world" thing. IMO, I think that would be a nice way to end Sunset's arc in the human world and return to Equestria. Like I said before, I think the writers should explore the real human Sunset plot in the future.
My guess is that the real human Sunset is at another school, like how the real human Twilight was at a different school. But I agree, I'd love to see the real human Sunset. (And even human Zecora and Starlight would be cool). XD.

you know if someone did one of those voice over things for this movie in a certain way. they could make it look like they were working at a secret meth lab or something. come on there's magic dust every where. and if they do it right then they could make it look like that the main 7 were like investigating the place, inhaled some of the meth, then became all high or something, and they started thinking that they had these powers. then at the end with gloriosa (I think that's how you spell it) singing, she's trying to show them the beauty of a meth and what it can make u see.

The movie forgot that Sunset use to be a Unicorn. The Midnight in me song sounds like a mix of Hearts warming future and a James Bond song. I think that the gems are shards of the elements of harmony from when Nightmare Moon broke them and one shard from the portal which is why sunset's mind reading has the same animation as the book she used to calumniate with Equestira. And it really saddens me how much they are seperating humans from ponies, there's just so many opportunities and so much hijinx that they could do with the portal, but it seems like we won't see any more interactions between the two worlds in the future =/ Btw, I'm wondering, what's your favorite villain-song so far in the series? It seems we clearly share a love for these songs ;-) Mine's "Unleash the Magic", though some of the sirens' songs come pretty close.

Well, answer a few questions, Sandlewood is the hippie dude, the one who lost his bean bag iirc. The group song was "Friendship Through the Ages" The sundial scene had a line cut that was put back in the book where Celestia reminds Luna her objecting to the sundial was why she was banished from their tent. But, yeah this was a good, fun movie. Nothing flat out SO AWESOME! like RR had, but no major issues like FG's two dimensional villains. I'd say, I'd put it second, again the flat, two dimensional cliches of antagonists brings down FG a bit to much. The songs were great, fit the mood, the story, but at the same, yeah lower key, not as big, and over the top, but that does fit this story, just a fun, simpler, lower key story that was well done overall. Timber.... hopefully he is forgotten after this, hate shoehorning romance into things for no damn reason, BUT he was done SO SO SO much better then Brad was at least. As to "What's next" we are getting three half hour EQG specials rather then on movie sometime this year. Love the reaction as always. Good luck back in school.
Aw, that scene with Celestia and Luna would have been great. Wish they kept it. I wasn't as bothered by the antagonists in FG because I felt Twilight's internal conflict was a much bigger focus and they helped facilitate that. I certainly would have liked the students to have more personality, though I think a straightforward villain like Cinch isn't inherently a problem. Yeah, Timber outclasses Brad's first outing by far. No debating that.
Blank Slate I rolled my eyes at him a lot, but the only point I outright wanted to smack Timber in the face with a rolled up newspaper and tell him to go away was that last bit with the really lame "So I'm awesome for saving all those people" bit. Which I get was meant as a joke.. just a really stupid one. And "Straightforward" is one thing, but Cinch was just flat. If they had just focused on Twi's internal issues, it would have been better, the Shadowbolts and Cinch were just... to superfluous to that and.. more a lack of focus then anything else hurt things.
I don't disagree that Cinch could have been used better. She presented an obstacle and had herself a great song, but the Sirens were more interesting as far as that brand of villainy goes. Yeah, Friendship Games is far from perfect, of course - I think it had potential to be best of the series, but as I said, I believe it made more mistakes than either RR or LoE. But Everfree felt flatter to me as a whole, and in this case I prefer having those peaks and troughs.
I will be honest here. I don't dislike Timber, nor Flash. Though, I do feel like Timber is an improvement from Flash. Not by much, but still. The problem I had with Flash was that he was terrible as a shipping character. He and Twilight hardly had any bonding moments, they know rarely anything about each other, and he simply had very little personality to begin with (other than being a hansom guitarist). Timber, on the other hand, while not that great, had more personality with his humor and such. He and Twilight actually had conversations, and didn't rely on just bumping into each other. While I still question the need for a cannon shipping with the main character here, you can tell that the writers have been trying to save their mistakes by having Flash move on to some one he actually knows. Through, there still is the Flash in Equestria, whom the Pony version of Twilight (ironically) knows even less about. So, who knows what the writers are planning. Lets just hope that they handle it well.
In defense of Filthy rich, the camp was so badly performing that they took out a mortgage on land they already owned just to keep it going. Which means it isn't really theirs anymore. Also means they aren't good at economics because taking out a mortgage to save a failing family business is a terrible idea... Though it is a common one people get very sentimental about those things to the point of making poor decisions. Using credit to expand a business can be a good idea, but if your getting a loan because you can't pay your bills.... Your only adding another bill unless you do something that increases your revenue as well.
Most people like Timber. Most people I know don't like "Flashlight" because there was little to no communication between them and they said the shipping felt force. Here there was more communication. Hey Blank, in that last minute, did you see that the Moon was almost full? I honestly think that was another hint and we might get something from the pony world again, this time through the Crystal Empire because that portal is still there too. You should react to the Bloopers of this movie that Hasbro brought out. Does this also mean you'll be reacting to Bronies React to Legends of Everfree too? I know you're also super busy, but it be great if at one point you could react to Analysis Bronies react, starting with their Friendship Games reaction on Cell Spex's channel.
The relationship subplot was handled better here, that's for sure. Bronies React and Bloopers are both recorded. The latter is on hold until I see what Hasbro does, it'll be the redirect in the case this reaction is blocked.

The only thing that I hated about this movie was the forced romance, it just didn't feel like it fit the pacing of the story at all, did the writers really need to put that in there? It’s not that she believed all along that they were meant to have the geodes/magic, but rather that they were meant to have the geodes all along. It’s different.
One suggests she knew it from the start (obviously false), the other just means now she believes the geodes were meant to be theirs in the first place. Like how the Elements of Harmony were bonded to the mane 6 all along- they always represented the elements, which is something they don’t find out until later in life.
Sunset's willingness to embrace the magic and help her friends do it too makes perfect sense.
She _is_ a Unicorn after all. She probably misses her magic, and even forgets when she visits Equestria.

I just now realized that all of them, minus maybe Sunset, would be perfect for the military in that world. Pinkie touches sprinkles and makes bombs. Rainbow is lightning fast. Equip her with a spear or sword, or even some explosives. Applejack is insanely strong, just mount a couple tank guns on her shoulders and put a trigger mechanism in her hands. Fluttershy can communicate with animals, she could convince squirrels and other creatures to spy for them. Rarity can make nigh impenetrable shields just from her thoughts alone. Twilight can do pretty much EVERYTHING. She's magic so she can levitate all the weapons of the entire army to be a one woman army.
As for the "Sequel tease" with more magic leaking out of the mirror... HASBRO, GET ON IT. >:

There's one plot hole that I'm still questioning about these EG films: "Where is Sunset's doppelgänger?" I can't help but think that our Sunset is gonna have to leave the human world eventually, just like Twilight; with the whole "upsetting the balance of this alternate world" thing. IMO, I think that would be a nice way to end Sunset's arc in the human world and return to Equestria. Like I said before, I think the writers should explore the real human Sunset plot in the future.
My guess is that the real human Sunset is at another school, like how the real human Twilight was at a different school. But I agree, I'd love to see the real human Sunset. (And even human Zecora and Starlight would be cool). XD.

The movie forgot that Sunset use to be a Unicorn. The Midnight in me song sounds like a mix of Hearts warming future and a James Bond song. I think that the gems are shards of the elements of harmony from when Nightmare Moon broke them and one shard from the portal which is why sunset's mind reading has the same animation as the book she used to calumniate with Equestira. It's a short enough video and it's pretty funny. Even give you a second look at Pinkie's mind! Blank Slate To be honest, I think they put Timber in to mess with the fans that were happy with human Twi and Flash's interactions XD But it's all good ^^ He was given quite a bit of personality and seems to fit with Twi well. Just needs to slow down a bit lol

The arts have have always interested me, but it's not quite the path I've gone down... I've always been one to play it safe, I suppose. I have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering and I'm currently working toward a Master's.

Oh hey, I totally forgot that you haven't reacted to this movie yet ^^ My opinion to the movie is almost the same as yours, it was fine but nothing spectacular, and I really didn't like Gloriosa as a villain (everything she did as a villain seemed pretty retarded x) so overall I also rank it below Friendship Games. And it really saddens me how much they are seperating humans from ponies, there's just so many opportunities and so much hijinx that they could do with the portal, but it seems like we won't see any more interactions between the two worlds in the future =/
Btw, I'm wondering, what's your favorite villain-song so far in the series? It seems we clearly share a love for these songs ;-) Mine's "Unleash the Magic", though some of the sirens' songs come pretty close.

The sundial scene had a line cut that was put back in the book where Celestia reminds Luna her objecting to the sundial was why she was banished from their tent.
But, yeah this was a good, fun movie. Nothing flat out SO AWESOME! like RR had, but no major issues like FG's two dimensional villains. I'd say, I'd put it second, again the flat, two dimensional cliches of antagonists brings down FG a bit to much. The songs were great, fit the mood, the story, but at the same, yeah lower key, not as big, and over the top, but that does fit this story, just a fun, simpler, lower key story that was well done overall.
Timber.... hopefully he is forgotten after this, hate shoehorning romance into things for no damn reason, BUT he was done SO SO SO much better then Brad was at least.
As to "What's next" we are getting three half hour EQG specials rather then on movie sometime this year.

I wasn't as bothered by the antagonists in FG because I felt Twilight's internal conflict was a much bigger focus and they helped facilitate that. I certainly would have liked the students to have more personality, though I think a straightforward villain like Cinch isn't inherently a problem.
Yeah, Timber outclasses Brad's first outing by far. No debating that.

I rolled my eyes at him a lot, but the only point I outright wanted to smack Timber in the face with a rolled up newspaper and tell him to go away was that last bit with the really lame "So I'm awesome for saving all those people" bit. Which I get was meant as a joke.. just a really stupid one.
And "Straightforward" is one thing, but Cinch was just flat. If they had just focused on Twi's internal issues, it would have been better, the Shadowbolts and Cinch were just... to superfluous to that and.. more a lack of focus then anything else hurt things.
I don't disagree that Cinch could have been used better. She presented an obstacle and had herself a great song, but the Sirens were more interesting as far as that brand of villainy goes. Yeah, Friendship Games is far from perfect, of course - I think it had potential to be best of the series, but as I said, I believe it made more mistakes than either RR or LoE. But Everfree felt flatter to me as a whole, and in this case I prefer having those peaks and troughs.

I will be honest here. I don't dislike Timber, nor Flash. Though, I do feel like Timber is an improvement from Flash. Not by much, but still. The problem I had with Flash was that he was terrible as a shipping character. He and Twilight hardly had any bonding moments, they know rarely anything about each other, and he simply had very little personality to begin with (other than being a hansom guitarist).
Timber, on the other hand, while not that great, had more personality with his humor and such. He and Twilight actually had conversations, and didn't rely on just bumping into each other.
While I still question the need for a cannon shipping with the main character here, you can tell that the writers have been trying to save their mistakes by having Flash move on to some one he actually knows.
Through, there still is the Flash in Equestria, whom the Pony version of Twilight (ironically) knows even less about. So, who knows what the writers are planning. Lets just hope that they handle it well.

In defense of Filthy rich, the camp was so badly performing that they took out a mortgage on land they already owned just to keep it going. Which means it isn't really theirs anymore. Also means they aren't good at economics because taking out a mortgage to save a failing family business is a terrible idea... Though it is a common one people get very sentimental about those things to the point of making poor decisions.
Using credit to expand a business can be a good idea, but if your getting a loan because you can't pay your bills.... Your only adding another bill unless you do something that increases your revenue as well.

The only thing that I hated about this movie was the forced romance, it just didn't feel like it fit the pacing of the story at all, did the writers really need to put that in there? I really enjoyed everything else, but the romance...I feel that the movie would have been better off without it.
