Missing RZR Turbo Belt Change Clutch Tool? Just Make Your Own

- Kinda got into an awkward situation where I needed the tool to change my belt and since I bought the RZR used I couldn't find it. No problem I'll just make my own, and yes I could have used the fender screw but I don't like fiddling with that torx wrench in the kit and I don't carry an impact on the trails so having a socket head was really no benefit either. I feel like for as little as it is used the factory style tool is pretty hard to beat.

I might be late to the party, but did you screw the threaded bolt into one of the two holes, or did you thread it into the first one, then the second one after? After you remove the threaded bolt with the new belt installed do you need to do anything else? Or just break in the belt?

Just need to thread it into 1 hole, the reason it looks like I swapped holes in the video is I spun the clutch around 180° during that cut. After you swap your belt and remove the bolt the clutch will sometimes still be "stuck" in just a little making your belt feel a little loose. If that's the case just start the machine up or bump the clutch lightly with a rubber mallet and it'll reset. This is also a great time to blow the clutches out with compressed air and clean them up, you'd be surprised how much rubber dust comes out of there.

I bought a 2022 Polaris 570 trail last year, brand new. Went to check on the clutch and belt, it came with the wrong tool. I need something threaded like what you have. Good thing I wasn't stuck on the trail. Thanks for the link.
Always a good idea to change your belt, take your wheel off, or any other simple repair using the tools you bring with you on the trail. It'll show you what your tool kit is missing. Kind of lame it came with the wrong tools though.

Thanks for this. I have a 2024 rzr xp 1000 and it only has one hole for the clutch spreader tool and that hole stripped the first time i tried to use it. Any suggestions? Thank you.
