Are all motors cables 9 pins and what the 7 pins functions beside the vdc+ and GND, I need to remove my disc break and there no way without cutting the motor cable a otherwise I need to remove the battery case. How it should be done? Should I cut it and reconnect it?
Thank you. So one of my hub motor wires got cut and I have no throttle response. I don't know if running the bike previously with wire cut destroyed the controller or just hub motor.
I took my wheel apart to do the same repair. I had no power to my blue phase wire using power tester same motor as what you worked on. now it's apart & i have continuity on all the wires so it could be in the rotor winding??
I might need to do this soon. My wires are on the end of their life. The part of my bike frame which holds the wheel axle, got so bent open, this twisted the wires almost enough to rip them out. Bad design of the bike frame, not designed to be modded into an ebike.
Great video. Question. My ebike works fine, but when I do the motor phase wire test and turn wheel (backwards) for resistance I don't get any but motor works fine and hall sensors work fine. This is not normal but it hasn't caused problems. And ideas why? /bklyn 👑
I’ve been looking at all videos about rewiring e-bike hub motors & can’t find 1 which shows exactly where each phase wire attaches inside the hub. Obviously like for like reattachment as per hall sensor wiring but my problem is that i had an axle spinout on my Dapu M155, after which the motor has not worked. the yellow phase wire is not attached....display shows o.o speed and PAS 0. the lights also won’t switch on; after 10mins the display shows 33 the switches off...any ideas appreciated category: dapu m155 rear disk brake gearbox: planetary gearbox with freewheel type: bldc motor (brushless direct current) power: nominal 250 w (maximal 400 w for rotation sensor, 500 w for torque sensor) used bb set: ncte sbbrf - rotation sensor ncte sbbrt - torque-rotation sensor
hi worked on brother ebikes so many time the cable is the main thing on ebikes that goes bad tip you will need to save up for cells over time s the life of them goes down over time
Hey does anyone know what those wires are called? My wires got stripped near the axle and i can't buy the wire without the motor..I know its the phase wire but I can't find any online for a brushless motor..
I just needed to see how to remove the wires from the inside the axel but you completely skipped that part so maybe I'll just pull on it harder lol thanks
Hi. Are you based in the U.S.? Do you have a bike shop? I have the same problem. My hub motor cables are ruined primarily because I have been riding without a torque arm. The rear hub motor twisted sometimes while I was riding and ruined the hub motor wires I had a very hard time finding a torque arm in bike stores
This is a very good video in regard to actually showing the steps you took. And how you actually put the wires back together.
Thank you. I hope my repair goes as smooth as yours seemed to.
Informative vid thank you. What type of cable did you use as a replacement, what gauge was it?
Excellent video very well explained, thank you .

Great video. Have you ever rewired a geared hub motor? Thanks
This helps thanks
Nice video man! 👍🏻 I wonder if Daymak hub motors are this easy!

Hi - Do you have a link for the "tree clamp"? Did I spell it correctly? Thanks!
Hi where do you buy the replacement wire and what is the replacement wire called also the connectors to the replacement wire?
It all depends on your motor. In my case, I just cut it down so I didn't but new wire

Where can I source the wire?
Thanks , just what I needed !
Can you show me how to fix mine for my electric pride fat tire e bike....got few rips in my wire

Where did you get the wire? You can't repair these motors because no one knows where to get the wire?
I'd suggest use a waterproof cable you can buy an extension and cut off what you need
hi worked on brother ebikes so many time the cable is the main thing on ebikes that goes bad tip you will need to save up for cells over time s the life of them
goes down over time
Where can I get one of those clamps?

Yeah same it happens to me I only have 2 wires connected now very sketchy but now I’m gonna open it and connected it back
my motor cable is stuck due to some white silicon and out ng es no getting it out without a BIG fight
Great video. 🫵😎🫵 Really appreciate it !!! Thx
what wire did you replace that with?
I'm not clear. Replace what?
the replacement Gage wire
I used 12awg wire
I have blow my controller an the bk wheel gone lumpy an will not spin on its own
Where can I buy replacement cable?
😅
i dont think we going to get any answers this guy is gone.
