Jack Junior thinking of getting this or the 5d iv for wedding filming. Currently got an 80d and want to get something to replace that as my A cam. How do other brands like sigma and Tokina lens work with this adapter?
I traded in my 5DII and M50 for the EOS-R + RF-24-105 f4L to cater for both travel and landscape photography -the best decision I ever made. The image quality is stunning and the camera is easy to use. It's a bit weightier than the super little M50, but really worth the extra burden. I'm not a videographer and don't care about 4k, but the clips I've taken with 1080p were fantastic.
the 5div still has much better weather sealing, as well as the dual cards which a lot of pros require for their work. The R is essentially a 5div in the body of a mirrorless 6dii.
@jessewood . so basically, asside from better weather resistence and dual card slots, the EOS R has the same technical specs essentially? so it wouldt produce better or sharper images?
randomrazr the R’s image quality is nearly identical to the 5div, however the 5d has slightly better shadow recovery, and the R has slightly better colours.
im thinking of getting the canon eos r with the new 24-105mm f4 lS . think that would be a downgrade from the 24-70mm f2.8 L II i currently have. i find i wish i had IS on it for some shots that end up a tad blurry
Just got mine and what a great camera. For me it's a big step up from my Canon EOS 5DIII with the image quality and low light performance knocks the 5DIII for six. It's also a bit of a bargain now. Initially (and perhaps unfairly) panned by the critics the result of which saw the price drop quite substantially. However, you're basically getting a 5D MkIV at a knock down price. I'm not into video, but I do realise it comes with some caveats in that department. As I get older I've found manual focusing in low light become increasingly difficult but the focusing aids on the EOS R are top notch and perfect for me. The flippy screen is a must, and the EVF is amazing. I'd looked at switching to non-canon mirrorless systems before the R, but having shot Canon most of my life I didn't really wanted to have to learn a new system or switch lenses. This ticked so many boxes for me and I'm loving it. It's well worth a look and with the latest firmware surpasses many of it's rivals.
Quick yet comprehensive approach to the Canon EOS R, keep it up Brother. We look forward to a more detailed review for each feature for both Still & Video photography, with this Mirrorless full Camera, from Canon.
@@creatibor maybe check the camera out instead of just believing a video. Seriously people form opinions based on yt video reviews which can be biased in all kind of different ways. I mean rent one and see for yourself. I own a eos r and for photography its a good solid camera with nice features. For instance the way i have setup the bar is for color balance so in lower light i can easily adjust the colors. The autofocus is really fast and I have not seen any reduction in speed in real life. Maybe indeed if you put them side to side you would see a fraction of a difference but in reallife shooting not so much.
I own a Mark 4, and I work at a camera store that has a demo of the EOS R and I've tried it (both with native lenses and adapted legacy lenses). If you're doing just photo, I'd recommend the Mark 4. If you see yourself doing any video whatsoever, I'd say the EOS R simply because of the swivel screen. They have almost the same video specs with the exception of the C-Log in the EOS R. But Photo-wise they are almost the same camera, with a slightly different User Interface/Design Layout.
DSLR’s need autofocus fine tuning. They NEVER shoot the same focus quality through the viewfinder vs live view shooting. With mirrorless you don’t have that problem, ever. I switched.
I wanna see when you use for vlog with 16-35 f4 or f2.8 how AF works good or bad?? many reviews shown accuracy of EF lens on EOS-R less than 70% (sometime good // sometime too slow to focus) sorry about my english , hope to see you in next review with EOS-R
Let me know any questions or topics you would like me to try and cover in the in-depth review!

Jack. Can you please tell me how to make my note 9 phone videos fit the youtube screen? Please...?
Sorry for the newb question but what's that plate that's sometimes on the bottom of the EOS R you're holding?
Good stuff dude!
This video was “top notch”
Great vid! I love my R, just picked it up discounted. Nice channel but you stopped making vids!
If your hands somehow found a way to scratch the sensor, then you have bigger issues...
Your b-roll shots are INCREDIBLE! 😮 Love it, you've got a new subscriber!

Have you updated firmware?
@@MeAndMyOpinions_OverYours Yes
I did the same from 6D and 80D to have both in a superior camera.
What is that red circular thing that's on the right side of the camera in the strap mount?
Looks like Peak design quick release strap.
do you know what makes the 5D IV 1000 dolalrs more over the EOS R? there so similar technical wise
Yeah I agree. I can see them dropping the price on the 5d4 fairly soon.

Hi - it's 6 months since you did this video, how have you found the EOS-R.
If you put an EFS lens on will you lose 60fps in 1080p.
Finaly someone that goes straight to the point without the mabo jumbo of 5minute intro.
Great video bro! Also your set is looking on point!
Hi - I've heard you need to take the adaptor off for the sensor cover to work - is there away around that.
What is the red and black circle on the right side of the camera? Thanks ;)
nice video. Where did you get the strap from please? I need that
killed the 5d mark iv because of the price

I have a efs 17 55 lens how well would it work on this camera.
It will automatically crop to fit the aps-c design of the lens, it should work well.
I think this cam for the price is a junk. Check this vid very interesting :Canon EOS R Lens TEST - Adapter Autofocus SHOOTOUT
