Fantastic - I was able to fix my 2009 CRV with this (and another video). So far so good. Couple of things to note from my project - The air filter housing base was a pain to slide out of the rubber holder on the far left corner. Seems like the trick is to pull it firmly straight up through it (and push it straight down through it during reinstall). I removed the battery too for better access. My crush washer (10mm) was stuck to the transmission housing and needed a couple of knocks from a flat head screwdriver to knock it loose. But other than that, it seemed to have worked so far. I drained the transmission fluid and replaced it with new fluid while I was at this. Drove around at different speeds and still no check engine light. Fingers crossed. Thank you for the video, very helpful.
Honda tech here, allso recommend people to look at the cables going to the sensors. They are placed very close to where mice would chill, so they chew up everything 😅
Thanks for posting this. I checked the wiring before I went ahead and ordered the part. Sure enough the wire was chewed with little poopies all around. Fixed the repair and It stopped the flashing “D” and I’m sure the code will reset in a day or two. . Not a horrible repair getting in there with tools.
Great tutorial! Same code came up for me on my 2009 Honda CR-V. I bought the part, followed your steps, cleared the engine light, and it hasn’t come back. Make sure you have a 22mm deep socket. Most deep socket sets only go up to 19mm so don’t be surprised if you don’t have one in your toolbox. Great work putting this together! Big help!

Just replaced this switch in my wife's 2009 CRV today thanks to your video. I was suprised to find no washer on the old one. Napa didn't carry it, and I didn't want to drive to the Honda dealer an hour away, so I found a standard 10mm flat washer at Ace Hardware that was identical and worked perfectly. Thanks again for your excellent video.
Thank you for the video, wife’s 2009 CR-V just popped this code. Watching the video I noticed that the brake fluid appear very very dark, and with the car being over 100,000 miles a full pour drain of the brake fluid would be a good idea to preserver the inside of the brake lines. Thanks again for the video

Thank you! This cleared the code and stopped the flashing "D" as well. I used the BlueDriver OBD2 tool to pull the codes (worth the $99) which also had two Evap System codes the came up and the BlueDriver also shows most common fixes for each issue. For the Evap codes changing the gas cap was top of the list. I swapped in a new OEM Honda gas cap and those codes cleared as well. Check engine light has been off now for almost a week so I'm confident these changes fixed the issues. *** Other note, recommend noting the exact tool size used in each portion of the job. Hello. Is there a fluid or any particular lubricant that is safe for wires or switch? My 2nd transmission fluid pressure switch is hard to detach from the connector.
I would try compressed air to blow any debris out of the connector first, lubricant like wd40 is a last resort will make it slippery and difficult to pull off.
How long can you drive with the switch being bad? Will it mess up the transmission? And if it’s switched B for the third clutch … is it the same territory of the Engine?
It can potentially damage the transmission if it’s not repaired quickly. The 3rd switch is in a different location I think it’s on the top, not sure. Thanks for watching
