is that Gary ??? wow.. he is off key maybe having a sore throat. He has always been the hoot with me . Maybe he can't hear himself. I want to hear wind blowing the microphones somewhat . He started the song wrong words. The wind is giving them some competition for sure look at the shirt sleeves.
For God sake. The hillbilly critics are jumping on Gary Lewis for forgetting where the mike had been for a second. They all probably need to drink a good warm glass of milk and take a nap.
Jackass, you go out and sing,. Autotune is for losers. Says a sound guy,..You must have a tin ear or listening from your lower torso. You weren't alive in the mid 60's. I was.
@@johnfoy2840 He claims he played drums on the tracks. Sure he did. Then he left the studio and they erased his tracks and Hal Blaine did them. But even now he claims he played drums and Hal gave him pointers on the cymbals. Sure he did. Remarkable thing is that even listening to the final take he actually still insists he played the drums. Drums on those records is signature Hal. He’s either lying or too musically stupid to know the difference.
I’ve seen 3 acts in this series (this, GaryPuckett, Cyrcle), and so far, they should have stayed with the memories. Sometimes fading away, contrary to Neil Young, is better. It saves the embarrassment of not having it any more.
You’re right I’m afraid…same for Gerry Beckley of America….just let the voice grow old gracefully or let the son continue the dream and stick to the instrumental bit.
Love them!
Ouch...
Great filming. Thanks for the upload
Sad how his dad treated him.
All the sons got screwed. Jerry the Jerk.
I love this song. Unfortunately, Gary sounds like he spent too many years smoking.

He sounds like his dad Jerry

Is that actually him? He had the Mike stand in his hand wrong words, wind is tough on them.
Not sure that’s Gary Lewis
That’s him alright
I feel like you are correct, it is not him right. How would Gary forget the word to start this song..no way.
not bad!!
There was a session guy who helped his voice sound good for the records. most just want to have a nice time. don't be mean to the guy.
What a struggle. There's this thing called auto-tune. I liked his music for a 2-3 year stretch mid-late 60's.
In the studio he had a vocal “double” sing along with him.

I wonder how much Gary would pay to have this post removed.
There is a time when you should hang it up. Think Gary missed the date years ago sad…..

How can you be singing a song for most of your life and still mess up the intro? Yikes!😩
Age..happens to all of us.
My thoughts exactly. I see no effort here at all. The people who paid for this were ripped off.
@@lionheartroar3104 I hear that
yes that is my thought.
Gary never could sing. Al Kooper wrote it.
