In a nutshell, I ‘m an avid dumpster diver, scrapper, picker, treasure hunter and underwater connoisseur. I prowl the city streets in search of dumpster loot, curbside treasures & scrap metal as well as scour the river bottoms for lost valuables during the summer months when I can scrounge up enough money for gas. One man's trash is another man's treasure. I heard that a long long time ago I am now 50 years old and I heard that some time before I was 11 years old because that is when my parents decided to move out of the big city to the country. Then I started to pick up center blocks left behind when someone had the mobile home repoed . Then in my 20 's I started hauling more junk in.

you want to see if they will do a deal with you to pick all the scrap up might even pay you to take it away has they pay for skip . l did in the uk one place use to fill a skip up each week with timber that l would take out for firewood the boss come out one day and said if would pay me if to take all the scrap timber away has the skips was £240 a time x 2 a week we did a deal £150 cash a week he pays me then l cut it up and sell for fire wood make about £350 per week for only 2 days work

I wanted him to tear open those bags in the last dumpster but could tell he was beat up (the heat just wears you down). He wasn't even up to dumping them out. But unlike MANY people in the comments, I'll never judge Mike for missing something or leaving something behind. You would think Mike is working for THEM and they're not getting their percentage, the way they jump all over him. If HE is satisfied with what he scored, we should be too. 🙂💪🐼

It’s getting colder here in New England. The leaves are falling! 😩 Anywho, I got one of them dvd recordable out of my dumpster, and it works! Better yet, sold it on eBay for $75! Be well, Mike! ✌🏻

Not to sound ridiculous but if you toss or throw pencils the led inside actually breaks and there no good. That's why when you sharpen them the led just keeps falling out cause it's broke up inside
Dude i just found your channel. I'm house sitting in a beautiful lakeside town in New Zealand and i can't go outside just yet cos i'm obsessing over your dumpster finds! lol love your energy and humour! Right i'm going to check out the dumpsters again tonight. Don't find alot in NZ. Dump fees are astronomical, like a dumpster like the one you go to would be around $450nz dollars to empty. It forces people to recycle and burn crap they don't want but the building site dumpsters! man i make alot of money off of them.
The boxes had quite high tech servers $1,000 each, the metal things were the stands but my guess is they installed them in racks and the stands were totally unwanted. Blue Teflon coated hex bolts sell for $2.00 on eBay, so you might be quids in there! The massive scrap haul was pretty much all XRT supermarket scanners I think, so that's pretty cool too :-D

I'm betting if you took all that Ryobi stuff and just put it in a big pile for 40 or 50 bucks someone will buy it from you :-)
If I owned the company that had the last dumpster, I'd have one of the employees scrap that and use the money for a party fund.

It seems that everyone pronounces their name wrong it pronounced "'REOBI" even though it is spelled "RYOBI".Looks like he was testing the items and what did not work he threw out and Ryobi is a DIY brand and there were the "'BRUSHLESS' battery-powered tools as you can see by the "MILWAUKEE FUEL BOXES"
You could probably sell the nuts and bolts for more then scrap

Just advice, grab wires from those neatly stacked boxes. Also yes I’m in Pennsylvania it’s getting to cold to fast

Why didn't U use a box for all the (aluminum slides) you took out?
That looks like a full day of processing! Young Bertram from the farm says Ryobi is the only brand where you can mix and match any of their batteries and tools, irrespective of age, and they will still function. If so, then you only need one old Ryobi battery to test all that lot.

but shame on that business whose dumpster was full of retail store I.T. equipment. I'm surprised they don't at least have some sort of relationship with an e-waste recycler. You're their e-waste recycler!
I upgraded / build many computers with used OEM computer case for 30 years now, most are more sturdier than the cheap thin stuff on the market. But in recent years, more OEM like Dell, HP have switched to non removable backplate, custom front panel connection, none standard slot layouts, none-standard PSU and connector...making reuse and upgrades very difficult and created thousands tons of unnecessary e-wasted every year.
Apple & SONY are the worst offenders in wasting resources and polluting the earth IMHO. Most of their products are difficult to upgrad or reused by end user, Apple even purposely change graphic and power connector every few years making perfectly functioning devices obsolete. The practice of putting chips in power charger making old and third-party PSU not compatible is just pure evil! Same as making phones none serviceable to force consumer to purchase new equipment
There should be an campaign to boycott these practices and push manufacturers to use a standard design. Just imagine how much resource can be reused & conserved if most manufacturers used a standared laptop case and power supply. Besides size differences on the display, they look pretty much the same anyway.
Why do you consistently leave the computer cards? I get more money for those because of the gold on them than I get for shiny bright copper and brass.
i've got a couple dozen of those ryobi 18+ tools. they're made by the same people who make milwaukee tools. i have had no problem with any of the ones i have bought, and use them on a daily basis. the batteries are another story. i've had to rebuild a few of them using 18650 cells i got from old laptop batteries, and harbor freight tool batteries. they contain quality samsung cells, at a price that's cheaper than i can buy the cells by themselves. can't beat that with a stick.
Love my battery mower, have used them for years. I have bad luck with engines. 😜

Should be able to sell all that ryobi stuff. Even broken, someone can probably put couple broken ones together. New theyre like $100 a piece... lot it all up and sell for few hundred FB marketplace!
Wouldnt be just easier to take all the cardboard out of the trash than struggling with all those big boxes 🤦♂️
That’s one of the HOME DEPOT RETURN PALLETS where these people buy the pallets and resale the good products that are still good
Saves a lot of gas when you only have to go to like 2 dumpsters to fill up the truck!

Is the camera a Sony nightcam ? If so you can sell it to guys that hunt rats and use the camera for night vision and recording.

The IBM’s are a small point of sale PC, usually used to run a POS system. I have 5 of them from my previous employment which shut down.

yo mike you would be proud, I scavenged a toy VW bus (sold it for $20), a kayak paddle (sold it for $15), a PS3 (sold for $25) and some applewood and some oak that ive been using in the smoker and bbq, been a good week just grabbing curb scores!!!

I 'm from New York. They don't do much scraping up here just the regular bottles & can deposits. Seems better for planet to recycle this metal.

When you said that you needed help sorting out the stuff that you had got I was thinking I would love to do that and then I saw that the video was old but you also live a few hours away from me.
