I enjoy watching the picking. It's only metal scrapping, true, and the real money is the youtube income but the curiosity of finding dumpster gold is the same. 35 years ago, this was me, diving right in. Miss that era for my youthful attitude about life as much as the compujunk I built a business with. But my time is over, and there are young guys to take up the slack, like Mike here. Go get em, dude!

I use to dumpster dive every night, it’s amazing to see some of the things people call trash. I have found old books that were rare and I made good money on them. It got to the point to where my wife and I would rent a spot at our local flea market . We paid $ 10.00 a day (Sat & Sun ), and in those two days we made up to $ 400.00 sometimes more ! I almost forgot, always check the pockets on clothes , and every book check them out money on many occasions, yep! hidden between those pages , paper money !! Thanks Mike ! Beaumont here!

YES! We replaced a 20 year old industrial dryer at the nursing where I worked because it wouldn't tumble, it was full of coins and costume jewelry! I filled a quart Ball jar with what I found. Some coins were worn down on the edge from rubbing other coins.

There is a dietician/nutritionist who has a big plastic drawer unit in which she keeps things to show how, using absolutely no refrigeration, things like big name take away burgers and thins NEVER mould, they never go bad…..makes you wonder how many chemicals are in these things. And if you get a chance, have a look at Dr. Sand van tuleken and his brother. They did an experiment where he ate nothing but ultra processed food for a month. Scary results!!

While simultaneously being obsessed with scrounging for what he considers "scrap" - and literally EVERY video he posts - he throws away hundreds or thousands of dollars of ( many times new in box ) retail items.

Those "TV Things" are arcade monitors and some of them are worth quite a bit. I repair them and sell them from between 150 to 750 each.

That was a good haul for you! I am so curious how much change you find and what's all in there. Lol I use to wait tables and get a lot of change it adds up fast. I'd put it in a large jar on our fridge and cash it every so often, I think the most I got was about $200. I dont waitress anymore but still love finding change to throw in the jar.

Hi all, in all my time watching you and other scrappers,
I've never ever seen so much change come out of a dryer..
    Better than a slot machine...
Another great night picking in the urban jungle....

Those w"Walking boots must be from a medical supply place or a Doctor's office! They look like the one I have for when I fractured my right ankle a while back. I actually had another one back in 2006 from a broken left foot. I don't know if you could resell them or not...or if a local free clinic would take them as a donation for their patients.

Long time ago I got paid to help do some demo for a grocery store remodel. I loaded all the check out stands in my truck. At home I discovered they were full of change. Every time someone dropped change it went down to the bottom and stayed there. I got more in cash than what they paid me for my help.

It looks like they got all the kits to rebuild the mixers in a hospital and didn't use them.

Those dumpsters are on a scheduled pickup per dump. When we used to have a dumpster that could be dumped again that was extra, if the company took care of us we would load all the extra crap outside the dumpster. If they wouldn’t take care of us we would tell them to call for another dump. Mostly restaurants would give us a free lunch’s and market’s would give us stuff, sometimes money and sometimes beer. You scratch our backs and we’ll scratch yours, most people wouldn’t believe what we would find, although you would. Even money like you, mostly at apartment buildings.( clean outs) that’s why I love to watch you, I’m from Miami but I’m always watching from Panama City Florida, USA. 🇺🇸. Retired. !

Lol Mike 😂 FYI. That old school tube monitor demands respect! If you touch the hardware at the back of the tube you might find your hair severely curled. You have to ground it to discharge the capacitor. The old TVs that had tubes in the back would knock you across the room if you didn't discharge that capacitor. 😂😂😂
