Film My Run. Great film, You captured the whole event & atmosphere really well, happy memories apart from that dreadful diversion to le Flegere. I ran the CCC this year for the first time, longest race in distance, time and elevation, whole different ball game to what I’ve done in the past!! I had 107km on my watch too?? Great running by you to get under 24hrs👏👏
I was there and at the last starting group and I was 1 hour back bro.. My time is 25 hours and I can do it better, too.. :) Your video is really awesome, like a BBC documentary.. I show it to my family and say; here is my race and what I experienced... ;) Good job... If you feel good, there is a cool race 1 month later in Turkey cappadociaultratrail.com I'll be there... ;)
Its CCC 3 me nil so far, 2015 unbearable heat ground me to a halt and i was withdrawn at Annuvaz, 2016 much the same with the heat just had nothing left on the climb up Col de Ferret and had to stop ,this year i got the furthest I've ever done Trient, where i arrived 4 min before cut off and mentally crashed,im so close to a finish now i can smell it, made a few errors this year which cost me time and i can ill afforf that, learning all the time and will run into Chamonix next time, great vid mate, and well done on a fantastic finish
David, I really don't do well in the heat, so I am glad it wasn't hot this year. It's always a problem because nice sunshine makes for better looking videos!!
“They also do park runs, 5 kilometers.” Walmsley: “Wow.” Idk. That just made me laugh! Seriously, I love your channel! I miss the races this year and your vids are a soothing balm.
Fantastic Video. The 'Thousand Mile Stare' at the low points during breaks, its the reason we run, to push through those moments and to celebrate what we weren't sure we could achieve. Congratulations on a fantastic race and achievement.
Man i adore your courage and the footage was excellent, i will never experience this type of indurance and persiverance of runnning ultramarathon it will be a just a dream for me, congrats to all may you have always the strenght that you need..
Amazing performance! Congratulations on finishing the CCC. Epic video, i loved watching it. I hiked along a lot of those trails over the years. Great race recap!
You did a fabulous job in this piece and I genuinely like you because you are so down to earth and very much like the majority of us common runners in the world. Thanks!
Late to the party. Very well done. Very well filmed. And an ordinary proper runner. I get more inspiration out of watching people like you, and that are similar to me than I do watching the elites (but I love that too!). All that hard work paid off. Your honesty about underestimating it was refreshing.
Thank you for this video! I watched it while training on the stairclimber for 6 months, every week. It helped me be prepared for CCC this year. And it was indeed magical race. You helped me visualise the race before I did it.
WOW Stephen. You definitely pick some races. You have some super mental strength to keep going under difficult circumstances and to be out there for so long. I would be talking to myself something silly (I do anyway on teeny distances). I never realised what went in to ultra racing and how different it can be. You have achieved many great things and I know you will continue to do so. And again, just WOW!
This is a really awesome take on UTMB. I'm so used to seeing so much race day/training footage of the pros and this was really neat to see it from this perspective. Thanks!
After running the UTMB route last summer (not the race...we did it over 5 days), I've been hoping to find a video that truly captures not just the 'epicness' of the trail - like the arduous, technical climbs and descents that seem to go on forever - but the incredible beauty and grandeur of the Mont Blanc massif. In this video you have captured it all, and more. Without doubt, this is one of the very best running films or videos I've ever seen. Congratulations on your run, and on making this brilliant record of your experience!
I would love to go back again too. But, alas, at 62 I doubt I'll be running it ever again! I found it interesting that, despite your extreme fatigue, you managed to find the strength to finish with a flourish. Unlike racing 170 km where you get increasingly fatigued as the race goes on, I found I got stronger and stronger over the 5 days, eventually - to my surprise - pushing the uphills as hard as I could. In fact, the most fun and exhilaration over the entire TMB was the impromptu race I leapt into with another runner just 3 km from the end... At that moment, I felt 'right on the edge' of peak performance or disaster, and I wouldn't have wanted it any other way!
Magnificent capture of the essence of endurance racing. They are fun, exhausting, exilerating, inspiring, intoxicating, sometimes all at the same time. Thank you for a boost and a reminder of patience!
@@FilmMyRun thanks Steve. It looks amazing 🤩 Three of us from Australia are entering lottery for OCC. We are hopeful. If we get in we will be dropping everything and moving heaven and earth to make the trip.
Carrying the camera and narrating the video must be little sacrifices to your overall performance. I can only thank you for this and congratulate you on completing the ccc
Having seen numereous vids of UTMB CCC this is by far the best both content, emotion and motivation. Great work on this one. Hoping for more like these, TDS was also very nicely done.
Amazing watch. Make me wanna get off my paddle board and lace up my shoes and try the CCC myself sometime..!! Well done with your achievement! And for sharing this experience with the rest of us. BRAVO!
That was cool. Never watched your films before, only put it on to watch for five minutes… watched the whole thing. You are a very good story teller, and well done on your finish. That was quite an accomplishment.
What an incredible video ! I realy did appreciate a lot your minds, the way you present yourself inside the race. It is probably one of the best video I ever watched on UTMB. When you were running to the end in Chamonix, you said "I didn't respect Mont Blanc, it was harder than I did expect"... This makes me having big emotion ! Thank you very much for this and congrats to be a finisher !
I recently got in for CCC and your film is giving me goosebumps and terrifying me at the same time. There are no mountains where I'm at...just small 100 foot hills by the river. I'll have to run those over and over and over and hope for some sort of super will power to do what you accomplished. Great job on the video and your CCC finish!
I'm a little late but , have to say , congratulations! For the epic race and excellent coverage. I felt really inside the race. Thanks a lot for sharing it.
Amazing video! Thank you for putting so much passion into it. I am running the Mont Blanc Marathon next summer, but I am looking to run OCC in the next 3 years.
Thanks a lot Stephen for your really nice film, and congrats for your race ! What a deep dive movie !I was also on this humid edition of CCC (bib #3447) and felt the same feelings [as all of us I guess ;o)] Keep doing nice souvenirs !
I did CCC in 2019. Barely made it trough. 25 hours. I probably opened to hard, combined with not dealing with the elevation. Not used to it. So I had a sick stomach after just 5 hours, that lasted most of the race. Throwing up really puts a damper on the joy of pushing on.. Still made it and an unbelivable feeling, to run up the finish in Chamonix. Highfiving the spectators. I hope to go back and do it better some day. Great video!
@@FilmMyRun Hi :) No, I have struggled with Haglunds Deformity (spelling?) and had two surgeries on my heal. Painless now so up to about 30k a week running. BUT, it is now near impossible to qualify from Norway/Scandinavia, even though we have great UTMB runners here. I simply cant afford travelling around Europe to qualify.. And the issue with UTMB recently, which you covered very good in your video btw Also loved the 24h running coverage you did. Best Ive seen on that type of race 💪 And thanks for the reply 😀
Congratulations on your amazing success. Thank you for sharing such an epic video of your journey. This is absolutely incredible, and will inspire others. Bravo Dear Sir⭐️

Congratulations on the video, for your time to record it, it will serve as stimulation for my 1st CCC that I hope to finish and get a new personal challenge. My sincere congratulations, I think this video deserves all my admiration. Congratulations
Thanks for the good film, enjoyed your speeding up over the last 5km, you are living proof of Tim Noakes "Central Governor" theory. Well done! Having finished UTMB, CCC, TDS and OCC, I empathise with the challenge of the runs.. keep going!
Well done. Been to Chamonix snowboarding, and just walking from the top of the furnicular to the start of the piste had me panting, so massive kudos to you sir!
Well done Stephen. Top video again. Unfortunately Laura and I miss the entry for next year. One on the bucket list for sure. See you soon and congrats to conquer this event and this great video

I got 5 minutes into this and realised it was going to be epic so put it on the tv instead!! Absolutely incredible, I take my hat off to you 🔥🔥
The FOD Runner I echo all these sentiments .I will never get nervous about the parkrun again.
PS I echo other views as good or better than expensive professional production . so scenic and clear .
Must say that i had tears of joy watching this spectacular "documentary" about u running UTMB. Love your channel sir
Easily the best coverage i've seen of any UTMB race
Have to admire the grit and determination specially towards the back end. Well done sir!
Fantastique job
