@@RunThatMile Just ran my first half marathon since 6 years, will now slowly go back to marathon distance (goal is run a marathon on my 42nd birthday in autumn) - and then try to explore new territory next year. No concrete plans yet, but be warned, I might actually come back to your offer - thanks a lot!
@@derrunn3r613 Congratulations on your first half marathon! That is a great achievement!! I think a marathon is definitely doable, it's all about discipline for 3-4 months and religiously following a training plan. Once you complete the marathon, surprisingly, you might find an ultramarathon to be an easier step. (At least that's how I felt...there's a lot more walking involved 😉) First step, sign up for your marathon. That will force you into a training clock. Good Luck!
@@RunThatMile Thanks a lot! I considered signing up for a big marathon race, but then I like the idea of a challenge to myself to run that marathon completely on my own - let's see how good of an idea that was, I'll let you know in autumn ;-)
@@derrunn3r613 That's a great idea! When I did something similar, I picked a lovely route with some reward at the end. That kept the motivation going. Looking forward to hear how it goes!
Congratulations, you ran a great race. You took great shots. A great archive document for those who want to run this distance. "Health your feet" (an idiom in Turkish) :)
Glad to hear this is helpful! I'm in the process of creating more content that could help anyone preparing for UTMB as I went through before. Let me know if there's any particular topic you'd like to know!!
Thank you!! The commitment to record this significant life event of mine🤪. I just turned the cam on whenever I felt like it, and I was lucky the footage ended up okay to make a video. My arms had a bit more extra effort but I think it was worth it in the end...I hope?
Really good video! I have done UTMB 3 times and this video represents extremely well the terrain from Courmayeur, though of course the first section to Bertone is different . Very good filming and editing- first class. One suggestion: speak a bit in the videos and make some comments about how you are feeling or whatever , it helps to keep viewers engaged. Of course here the scenery is so good that it’s easy to watch! There are a lot of videos out there, but this one shows a lot of detail at the aid stations. The scenery looks fantastic in the video, but, as you know, in reality it’s far better! Certainly some of the best views in the world. Well done!
Thank you very much for the comment and suggestion!! I was debating whether to add voice over as numerous other UTMB videos have done. It was a 50/50 choice with pros and cons either way. However, I ended up not including those because I think my voice (which is not particularly attractive) would take away the experience... also, in the actual race, I felt unnatural for a regular runner to be making comments out loud, so including those in the video would just make it unauthentic. I elected to add subtitles instead. Hope the essence of the experience was shown. I might test out your suggestion in future videos and see how they work out as well! Yes the aid stations were a big mystery before the race, and I might have overprepared for the unknown. I wanted to add information about them to help future runners (Good Catch!!) Maybe I could do the full UTMB one day and see the rest of the course with my own eyes. YES! Reality is better!! Appreciate your feedback and happy running!!
@@RunThatMile Thanks for your feedback. I don’t think you need to worry about a regular runner talking to the camera while you run. I do it in my videos (not as good as yours!) and I’ve got used to it. Stephen Cousins of Film My Run does a great job talking to the camera. Actually, he made one of the best CCC videos ever too. Once again, thanks for the video. I will watch it with friends who are going to run in Chamonix this year ro make comments and advice. Keep up the good work!
@@martinscofield7477 Yes I watched Film My Run's video many times before my race and agreed that would be one of the best CCC videos. Lots of inspiration and motivation from that video! Looking forward to future feedback!! I'll keep making videos, some will be similar to this one as I have a couple of races I filmed (not as in depth as CCC but still on my to-do). Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it!
Amazing video Bro. Thank you for documenting your CCC. What a dream 😃
Thank you Danny!
A dream that can become true!
That was awesome to watch, spectacular views, really like your editing, you managed to created some kind of atmosphere, now I really want to run an ultra^^
Also like it, how your "merci" gets more and more exhausted, and then, at the very end, became powerful again :)
Massive kudos, congratulations on your accomplishment!
Thank you very much! An ultra is definitely an experience to have for any runner! I'm happy to motivate or help anyone run their first ultra. Let me know and I may be able to answer your concerns (or kick you into the ultra path)!!
Well good observation, I did not even notice about the "merci" myself😆 That is SO interesting! Proves this is an authentic video of my experience 😁
Thank you again and happy running!
(At least that's how I felt...there's a lot more walking involved 😉)
First step, sign up for your marathon.
Great video man! Inspiring!

Genio!!!!! Maravillosas vistas!!!
Gracias!! Hermoso Dia😊

Good job~~~This video brings back my memories of Chamonix at 2019~ Thanks.
Thank you! Hope this can keep the memories for many!
Congratulations, you ran a great race. You took great shots. A great archive document for those who want to run this distance. "Health your feet" (an idiom in Turkish) :)
Thank you! teşekkür ederim!

Awesome video, well done, loved every single seconds of your movie
Thanks! So happy to hear that!!
Running CCC this year for my 1st 100k and this was very helpful, thank you!! Next I'll take a look at that video run from La flagere to Chamonix.
Glad to hear this is helpful! I'm in the process of creating more content that could help anyone preparing for UTMB as I went through before. Let me know if there's any particular topic you'd like to know!!
Love your works and efforts. Best utmb video run course. Thank you very much. Keep running
Thanks a lot! Happy Running!

Thank you Tom!!😄
Great footage of CCC, it's bringing my 2019 memories especially the last 1km stretch... The whole town and their cheers was phenomenon.
Thanks Cindy! Running in the town was phenomenal. I watched the winners of UTMB run through town.. what an experience!
Well done man!! great video, remember my CC in 2013, and my UTMB in 2019... maybe one day i will replay...
Thanks! You should!
Amazing! Thanks for the video, reminds me of my own CCC experience back in 2018 😆 By the way, like your 29:07 “最後”😂 聽到廣東話,好親切
多謝師兄支持!突登留番少少廣東話喺條片入面, 好野你留意到!!😆😁🙂

Felicitation ! Thanks for the video
Merci! Glad you like it!
This is the closest I'll get to this course thanks for taking me along it was awesome!!! CONGRATS! Well deserved
Thank you! Hope it was a good experience!!
Great video documentary. I don't know how you managed to run that distance and hold a camera up to film it. Great work.
Thank you!! The commitment to record this significant life event of mine🤪. I just turned the cam on whenever I felt like it, and I was lucky the footage ended up okay to make a video. My arms had a bit more extra effort but I think it was worth it in the end...I hope?
Hey mate! You did well! Keep going and take care!!!👌✌✌
Thank you!! ✌
Well done!
Thank you!
Amazing video, with mind blowing images ! I love your passion for this sport, it's very inspiring !
Thank you!!! It's a love-hate passion with this sport😆😆
@@RunThatMile haha yes, you hate it when you're in the middle of a CCC night, but the love comes quickly after it !
I wanted to add information about them to help future runners (Good Catch!!)
Maybe I could do the full UTMB one day and see the rest of the course with my own eyes.
Always appreciate your feedback, and I'm happy to hear that this video is good enough for you to share with your friends!
Hey, i`m not sure, if this is correct, but you're Brian, right? I'm Alex from germany and we spent a good part of the first uphill chatting away. We even met again after the finish line, i think :).
So great to see this video. It brought some really nice memories! Thank you for that!
Hey Alex who trains on 300m hills! Yes, you are correct! Your voice is even featured at 8:14 😆
So awesome you found my video, definitely some great memories and the chatting helped the first uphill so much!
Hope we will find each other some place some day again 😁
Nice run!
Thanks!
