- Big doesn't even begin to describe the 2022 Nissan Patrol. Yes it's big, but there's more to it than that. Caco's driven a lot of cars, but not quite as huge as this one. On this episode of Behind the Wheel, let's answer the question, "What happens when a little man meets a big car?" Spoiler alert, quite a few gas stops and a whole lot of 5.6-liter V8 noises. What a beast the patrol is. Caco is so entertaining and witty. This video was both very informative and hilarious at the same time. I literally laughed out loud several times watching this. Loved the attempt at the drive thru! Hahaha!
I salute someone who takes these massive things off-road. Ultra rare to see these things go through the beaten path let alone get muddy.
I suggest watching 4wd 24/7 yt channel which is an aussie channel and they take these massive beast offroad. Also the first chopped Y62!

Gas shouldn't be an issue for those who buy this vehicle since it's brought on long weekends to a beach house or to a golf course. Power delivery is more quiet and linear compared to its diesel counterparts, perfect for getting those 18 holes in on a Saturday. It's all about the use-case. For city driving, they can bring their 530 diesel BMW, for weekends, this bad boy. That's how some people roll.

I love these 5.6 Nissan V8 engines. I already put in 270,000 Miles (530,000 KM) on my Nissan Titan on timely maintenance.
are those american miles? thats not 530k km

The car specs was layed honestly and the speaker or the host was kind enough to eloquently describe the feel of comfort and astonishing disbelief on how magnificent the make was. #thebeast
Almost absolutely EVERY car I like isn't sold in Europe where I live. The Patrol, the Montero Sport, some MPV's from Japan, the 2.7 Prado.... At least I can get a CRV, that's it. I'm planning to travel to the Philippines in March, and should probably try those cars should the opportunity arise.
Now that's a mean machine to see running the road!
Since my E36 is thirstier than this i am considering this as my next family car. I wish the wheels were smaller because i want meatier tires. The deal breaker though is that it's too big especially in drive throughs.
This thing can actually get better km/l it's just that the highway in the Philippines is not highway enough🤣

The third row legroom is way too crammed for a large adult. The same problem existed with the previous model. Third row seating was a deal breaker for my family

Not exactly true though. We own one, and we do think of the Gas all the time! We’d only use it during long travels. Philippines roads are miserable for fuel consumption. 😬

I have an LC200 (getting the 300 next month) and I'm not really bothered by fuel costs that much. What annoys me though is how often I have to make a trip to the gas station because it's a hungry V8, mind you the tank's capacity is around 93L. I only get 4.3/4.7 KM/L city driving. Can't wait for my LC300 though, hopefully it's alot more fuel efficient with its V6 engine.
Its a no nonsense big boy suv with 8 seats. Love it. Just a shame its so unattainable with that price tag

@@osamabinladen824 I think that the LC is overpriced. The Patrol is just as capable, spacious, and luxurious for so much less and while it may have a thirstier gasoline V8, it is a lot quicker at the same time.

When going through drive throughs,.Inside this big guy! THAT WOULD DEFINITELY A BIG PROBLEM
Unlike the Kia Carnival,.Which in the right calculation you would alrdy go in and out,,..With alrdy no problem at all and yeah a lack of speed sensing door locks should be a standard in all.Vehicles but here it lacks it

Kaya di din talaga siya advisable na,.Gamitin lalong lalo kung mahaba-habang road trips na din iyan pero kung quick short trips lang sa,,.. Supermarkets or sa malls na din iyan wala na din magiging problema
If you can afford this monster then you can definitely afford to pay full tank for it.

It has a speed sensing door lock. It just needs to be activated, much like the current Navara’s…idk why they turn these features off..weird.
Yeah there's got to be the setting in head unit. Something like this is impossible not to have auto lock
