2024 Nissan Patrol review: Is it still worth buying in 2024? | Top Gear Philippines

- The current-generation Nissan Patrol has been soldiering on for more than a decade now, helped along by design tweaks and tech updates before it eventually retires to make way for the all-new model. It remains to be a full-size SUV with commanding road presence, effortless performance, and a decent number of features, but inevitably, it’s at a bit of a disadvantage against the much newer Toyota Land Cruiser, its main competitor in the segment.
But while getting a unit of the Toyota could entail a years-long wait, the Patrol is readily available. For those in positions of power who need their big SUV now, is the Nissan Patrol still worth buying in 2024? Click play on the video above for our full review, and share your thoughts with us in the comments.

Buyers of this suv do not worry about fuel economy. It's not gonna be an issue for this segment.
If you can afford to buy this SUV, you definitely don't care about its fuel consumption.
I own a lc300 the patrols fuel consumption just didn’t make sense especially with a higher depreciation than a land cruiser too
True
Honestly I prefer this than the LC.
Been driving the patrol for 4 months now, city fuel consumption is at 3km/l and highway fuel consumption is at 7.5km/l on average. Ride is smooth, suspension is great, comfortable seats, quiet cabin, cold AC, quick for its size, huge but i did not have trouble going into tight spaces or doing u turns, or parking in malls. Interior design is to my liking as well. At first i was so conscious with the fuel consumption but given all the perks i got, i accepted it. Overall, i enjoy and love this vehicle.
2.2 l/ km susmaryosep! thats why i asked my friend whats the consumption, he said nevermind 😂
Toyota Prado , please review next 😅❤❤❤
THE PATROL IS NICE WE ALSO HAVE THAT CAR
AND ITS MY FAVORITE ❤
One the best Full size SUV
Dude your awesome you explain everything thank you
2.2 km/L sounds about right. I get 4.2 km /l on a Toyota Prado V6.
Y62's are the last of the V8's and of then non Turbo's. Everything is now put turbo on this to compensate. Wish this was on the Y61 body instead of the problematic ZD30 it had. Y61 is still the better looking. But Y62 aint that bad.
Still worth it. Or wait for the new QX Monograph. 😊
Patrol > LC
Excellent luxurious machine

If you’re complaining about this vehicle, you’re obviously not the target market. Go nitpick something in your price range.
I will be sad when this generation goes. Nissan kept the Patrol and the GT-R going too long without a major update, but even over a decade later, both still feel great to drive. This SUV handles and goes better than you expect a big barge to, and the sound of that V8 is sublime.
Let's see how Nissan tops this.
Audio needs improvement
the gas consumption.😢
Bro that interior compared to the interior we get in Australia is so much better. Australia got shafted.
Probably due to the intended clientele of this Patrol here in the Philippines: this is intended for wealthy businesspersons and politicians.
@@kristoffermangila The interior of the patrol in Australia looks like it's from 1998. They are just now implementing apple car play/android auto into the 2024 versions. The dash still looks horrendous. I went to test drive one and really enjoyed it but the interior was a complete let down. No way am I paying 100k+ AUD for an interior that is extremely lacking. Even the base model Nissan Armada in the US has a better interior than the Ti-L (top model in Australia).
@@l2andom that's a stinker... well, Nissan Motors Philippines seems to listen to its customers better that its Australian counterpart.
Before the current facelift just the other year, we were still using an interior that looked straight out of a 98 Cefiro. This was indeed, a big improvement.
the mighty patrol
I dont do gas guzzlers
that's ok. this SUV is not for broke people like you.
You’re nitpicking about things that the target market doesn’t care about
Does he nitpick? He's just mentioning it, and he states that if fuel economy is important to you that this is not the right vehicle. I don't get the feeling that he made a big deal about its fuel economy
It's laying out the details. It's no longer a review if one does not mention those anymore. Bottomline: they gave it a pretty generous score. I don't see the problem there.
You are not a teen in 2010, c'mon
