Magic Spoon is DECEIVING You (UA-cam Sponsors EXPOSED) - Розваги
Lots of fake health experts in the comments. Sunflower and avocado oil are less healthy than olive oil. They aren’t “unhealthy,” but they aren’t exactly health foods either. If you think this non-cereal cereal is much more healthy than actual cereal, it’s not worth much discussion since you clearly do not have a great grasp on what makes a diet healthy or unhealthy. The only health advantage of this product is found if someone has a specific diet targeting a narrow nutrition intake due to some other need (i.e. a special Keto diet or low carb diet). For a baseline diet, however, there is little to no health benefit here. Don’t pay $10/box for this. If you like cereal, this doesn’t taste quite close enough to be worth it. If your dietary restrictions make it that you can’t eat grains or any sugars, then cereal isn’t for you. Eat something else.
Check out other things I've exposed here: ua-cam.com/play/PLLQNCzo4XdiUn5Kc4QbrP8q9W6qK1B0f6.html
You don't know what you're talkin about. The word magic is literally in the title of the cereal. If you were super ultra mega mega Ultra Super Mega smart like me then you'd realize that eating the cereal gives you super duper mega super powers because the word magic is in the title of the cereal maybe you should go back to first grade and learn algebra or whatever it is it takes to learn stuff
@@That-Ninja as a certified giga ultra super duper pooper scooper wooper mega wizarding wizard, I agree to this super ultra mega mega Ultra Super Mega smart message.
Wheat is not healthy. Modern GMO wheat is fact very unhealthy
yeah sunflower is sad but avocado oil is really good. And yes olive oil is great but pretty hard to fit into cereals.
these cereals are gluten free, have less carbs, less sugars, more proteins. And yes they have less vitamins because they are not enriched.
Overall I still think they're better than lucky charms
Magic Spoon reads as a low sugar high protein cereal that is an alternative for a high sugar cereal. I've yet to hear them claim to be healthy.
Grain free cereal is like sugar-free candy and jumbo shrimp: an oxymoron.
I'm diabetic and cannot eat those regular sugary cereals. This is ideal to satisfy that childhood memory. I do agree it's expensive but I think it's worth it once in awhile to fix my craving.
Lolol you crave cereal
@@jedsteelwell2354 yes, people crave different things
Lol there is a lot of low sugar cereals that don't cost this exorbitant price you just have a carving to trow money
@@user-jk3ox8em5l your missing the point. These taste like my childhood memories. Honestly, this sounds good if your a Diabetic who wants to taste cereal again, but also seems pricey.

@@thebe_stonethose are higher in calories. There is a serious misconception about Keto where people believe calories don’t matter to lose weight.
The amount of sugar is the bad thing - sugar toxicity is a leading factor in health related issues contributing to dying FROM rather than dying WITH one of the four horsemen. There is nothing balanced about 30 grams of sugar in a single serving at 7 am.
"The definition of cereal is grain!" Wait until you hear about almond milk.

All I care about is macros and this fits them perfectly. I also use discount codes to make it not so bad. Call me a sucker but I love it
Me, too. It’s a nice go-to snack when you’re jonesing for cereal. It’s a rare snack for me that’s DEFINITELY better than Lucky Charms, no matter what this video says.

It's also great for those midnight cereal cravings. You're getting quite a bit of protein in terms of volume so you'll feel full for longer off of less, that's one thing he didn't consider.
*cleverly ignores price tag*
I train for muscle so this is a great breakfast option for me, 14g protein isn’t that much overall but I don’t really have time to prepare anything in the morning, combined with a lot of milk it’s a good option. Also I generally try to avoid sugar because it’s basically poison, if I want vitamins I’m getting them mostly from meat and fruit plus occasional vegetables anyway. I’m not really thinking about vitamins when a cereal has spoonfuls of sugar lol. Only thing I think is kind of true he said was sunflower seed oil is bad, this is a pretty common belief.
The amount of people trying to justify this $10 small box cereal overprice trimming crap with little "health" benefit is crazy.
Partially true, avocado and olive have good amounts of health benefits behind them with research to back up. In general oil per se isn’t unhealthy its the manufacturing process that makes it unhealthy for your body to use (one of the major ones being sunflower and canola).
Yeah, avocados are seen as pretty healthy themselves, but I know that sunflower and canola oil are seen as some of the WORST oils you could possibly use.
No, not really. Companies don't put toxins in the oil. The only reason that canola and sunflower oil are bad for you is that they are readily available sources of pure calories
@@UglyNTRBastardthey aren't, btw. Not by serious scientists

@@Nahwatukee Maybe consider hot cereal like oatmeal
Honestly I had never heard of this before the video but $10 a box is outrageous.
I heard about it from the Jim Cornette Wrestling Podcast. I kinda want this because I'm a type 1 Diebetic
Not if you are looking for protein or if you are diabetic.
It may actually be more expensive to produce given it's synthesized from milk protein. But they may also just have the market cornered at the moment
I've paid that for cereal before lol lucky charms are that hear
I could get 15kg of corn flakes for the same price
And many would consider corn flakes healthier than chemically induced non cereal
I don't really eat cereal anymore. Also enjoyed the firm don't buy this at the end
More like a fuck this shit and run
I'll stick to my eggs and waffles.
Yeah, I always ended up feeling disgusting throughout the day when I had cereal in the morning. I’ll stick to my eggs and bacon breakfast
I liek how im watching this after i bought the cereal… its kinda yum but only 5 servings in servings of a cup
My problem with cereal is that it's just not filling. I gotta eat like 3 bowls to feel full and even then it doesn't stick around for very long. If I'm on a good sized work day and eat breakfast at 8 AM consisting of Cereal, Orange Juice and an egg. I'm hungry by like 11 and it's nowhere near lunch yet.
I prefer hot cereals Oatmeal, Grits, Barley etc since they actually fill you up and last longer. I can eat a bowl of hot cereal and be satisfied well into 2pm. Even until dinner at around 5-6pm if I eat 2 bowls.
Yeah that's why I quit cereals for actual breakfast because a regular sized box last for around 3 mornings, and I'm hungry before 11.
I prefer the taste of cereal to oats, but you’re right on the satiety aspect. What I typically do to foster satiety is to add in chopped apples. The fiber from the apples fills you up longer
I got it and enjoy it as a treat that tastes like my old favorite cereals without a sugar spike.
🤷🏻♀️
I now just want to make cereal puns. Dang it
Hey, allow me to thank you profusely for the fact that you are willing to go after these pervasive sponsors with a hunger for the facts about these products that they keep pushing on us. I know it is a quick way to make sponsors angry with you, so I just wanted to let you know that there are people out here who truly appreciate what you're doing.
This fella deserves a lot more exposure. Even people who claim to “tell it like it is” are accepting these awful sponsors. It’s rare that any actually exposes this?
Thank you for saving me $60. I almost ordered these. I figured they’d be low calorie. But they’re not.
well this is a keto cereal which is a diet of high fats, moderate protein and low carbs - this satisfies that diet characteristic. Low healthier sugar - and avocado oil is healthy. The vitamins in the other cereal is not substantial for anything to make a difference in daily living ... so it has more than magic spoon but hey .1 is greater than 0. Keto is expensive and it's a 'cereal' as it's like a cereal. If you are keto, you can't eat the regular cereals on keto because of the higher sugar and grains so keto-ers miss a regular looking, crunch like cereal so yeah, they will pay for the 'not eating it every day' type cereal. Do the keto-ers wish it was the same price as the sugary grain filled cereals? heck yeah, but it's not the case. Specialty items (which are made differently that massly produced regular, easy to make stuff), cost more, in anything. Gluten free, when it first came out was more expensive than regular gluten products, dairy free products were too and look at all the ingredients in those... even a vegan burger - beyond meat - the ingredients are massive and some you don't want to pronounce...and very costly vs regular burger as well... so yeah, specialty costs. I see where you are coming from but if you aren't into keto or specialty diets, you don't get it... I'm guessing you can just eat normal but some are on special diets for specific reasons.
Actually avocado oil is good for you, where did you learn it wasn’t?
@@Jared-by8oq It's bad if you consume a large amount of anything.
@@Jared-by8oq bruh thats true of any food
I bought a case for my children and 5 boxes are still in the cabinet bc they don't like it and I only eat HBoO With Almonds and RB Crunch with bananas.
Definitely agree $10 a box is too expensive. Will be sticking to my Frosted Flakes. Always enjoy these videos.
indeed we will just stick to frosted flakes
you can get 6 boxes for $44. Still expensive but if you're doing low carb it is worth it.
Yeah… If you can eat regular frosted flakes of course! Keep buying them. Kind of like anything that is well, unnecessary for you personally LOL
That's because protein is more expensive but it's more filling so you'll eat less food later in the day
ANything "organic" can be put as 50 dollars and people will still buy it.
Yeah, I think you're missing the point of the low-carb nature of food like this. It's to fit in with a ketogenic diet. In other words, you wouldn't have fruit or juices with it because the diet itself is low-carb. A cereal like this would typically be eaten with an alternative to cow's milk like coconut milk. So despite its "healthiness" being implied in the marketing, it's all about it having nutritional compatibility with a certain sort of diet. Not completely different to a vegan not eating meat but instead having a meat substitute.
That all being said, it's still too expensive for my liking.
Pretty sure YOU missed the point. I am answering two questions: is it as advertised and is it worth it. This isn’t advertised as keto diet food. It’s advertised as a “health” food or “healthy alternative”. The entire point of the review is to see if the ads are honest and if the product is worth it. Nothing is “implied” to be healthy. It’s explicitly stated.
Life tip: Pay attention to people speaking, rather than solely focusing on your internal dialogue, and you’ll come out looking at least half as intelligent as you think yourself to be. Also, using words like “ketogenic” instead of just saying “keto” doesn’t make you look smart. It makes you look like a Reddit neckbeard with a fake 200 IQ score. Using complex vernacular is one thing, especially if your conversational word choice matches what you post online. However, using technical terms where generic publicly known terms better apply is pretentious and not intelligent. You come off like a kid saying “sodium chloride” instead of salt. You’re not smart for it, just obnoxious and wreaking of insecurity.
@@WeSkeem As you said, "pay attention to people speaking". I found out about Magic Spoon through a UA-camr who mentioned it being a keto, low-carb product. He was most likely paid to say that. Either way, the first thing I found out about it was that it's a keto food. I listened but apparently you did not. You can't hold a proper conversation and discuss these things like adults. Apparently a different opinion leads to a rather inflammatory response. :)
I do mine with raw milk.
@@OutlawMantis wow, I didn't think your response would get such a rise out of this channel. What a salty baby.
Also Outlaw Star kicks ass.
@@WeSkeem Goddamn Skeem, I think the Shadow Realm is full.
Food is always deceptive. I think it's Chef Boyardee that mentions using vegetables in their product but it's filled with salt and various preservatives.
Long story short, most foods are nowhere near as healthy as they claim to be
At least Chef Boyardee prices their stuff accordingly at $1 per can, unlike this rip off hipster cereal.
I mean I get the protein part is deceptive, but it is low carb. People on keto can very much benefit from a cereal like this, and yeah the price is terrible, but how many keto friendly cereals are there out in the market?
@@user-rg7vr1kd1w anything keto In stores is expensive
This cereal is no different
I can agree in saying it's not for everyone, there's better alternatives.
But magic spoon does hit a few niches.
As for me, I have ARFID (Avoidant Restrictive Food Intake Disorder) which is an eating disorder caused by trauma thats summed up as "extrenely picky eating".
I struggle with it, and hate it, so many foods I wanna try that healthy just being around them in a kitchen makes me feel ill. I wanna eat healthier so badly and already cereal is a big part of my diet.
I hate my diet and am always trying to expand it but it's insanely difficult.
I fit into one of those niches that magic spoon is made for.
Finally another food to eat that actually has protein in it that actually feels edible!
And for that, my personal experience is a positive one for magic spoon. That's just my personal story though, everyone is different, and I'm definitely an outlier.
Everything is relative, so while you may say this is *not* healthy or just as healthy as the regular version of the cereal... that is also not true. The regular cereal is potentially life threatening to the severely diabetic or a person with celiac disease. While they can enjoy a bowl of Magic Spoon without health issues. As for advertising, it really depends on what advertisement you saw/heard. I learned about this from my Endocrinologist, who is the specialist that manages my diabetes. If my diabetes doctor finds this cereal healthy enough for me to eat, then I find it safe enough to label it as healthy. Just for reference, I have an extremely strict diet. Due to multiple health conditions and diseases I cannot eat red meat, pork, gluten, sugar, carbs (as little as possible), most fruits, dairy, or most processed foods. So when my doctor recommends something that is a processed food, it is a big deal to me.
As for the taste, again that is relative. Any diabetic, people with celiac disease, or people on Keto will tell you that it is almost impossible to find processed foods that are truly "healthy", taste like the non-healthy version, and are low in carbs/no sugar/no gluten/etc. Also the price tag for any products that fit the same criteria are hella expensive, absurdly expensive, make you swallow your tongue type of expensive. It's why most people who have severely restricted diets typically only eat at home and prepare/cook their own food. Going out to eat is a nightmare and you can spend hours pouring over the labels in a store to try and find something you can eat. Most processed foods that claim to be keto or diabetic friendly are still loaded down with carbs...which then turn into sugar when they are broken down in your body.
Basically, this cereal IS a healthier alternative to regular cereals for people who cannot eat regular cereals and also for those who don't have dietary restrictions. Because, regular cereals have sugar in them and are mostly carbs...which is also sugar. As a side note, avocado oil is healthy for you, it is one of the only oils I am allowed to have.
Hey, you assert in the video that sunflower oil and avocado oil aren't healthy which is blatantly false. Although the data around sunflower oil is not as clear, avocado oil and its omega-3 fatty acids are definitely healthy for you. I don't even know what your assertion that oils are bad for you is based off. If I had to guess, I would guess that it is absolutely baseless. Avocado oil and Sunflower oil definitely blow the high fructose corn syrup found in almost all other breakfast cereals out of the water when it comes to healthfulness. As for the sweetener blend, allulose and monk fruit are both sugar alcohols that are commonly used in protein powders and the like. They're significantly better than sugar, high fructose corn syrup, and also other sugar alcohols such as sucralose and aspartame which are found in diet sodas. The $10 dollar price tag does seem hard to justify though.
Olive oil is healthier than avocado oil. You don’t hear people calling olive oil a “health food”. It’s not about it being unhealthy. It’s about it not being a health food. Because it isn’t. This non-cereal brands itself as a “health food,” but its ingredients are far from it.
@@WeSkeem I don't know where you are looking but everyone calls avocados superfoods. It would stand to reason that avocado oil, derived from the mashing of avocado fruit is similarly healthy. Both olive oil and avocado oil are monounsaturated fats which most experts consider healthy. I think you're still stuck in the mindset ot fat being bad for you which is incredibly wrong.
Thank you I came to the comments to say this exact thing! I’m a certified nutrition coach and I agreee with everything you just said. I also would suggest for the creator of this video to research ingredients before spreading misconceptions about products in the future.
@@gameaddict1010 the "Fat is bad" trend of the 80's never was shaken off once they proved it false.
Too many companies push "Fat free" versions of foods, and people still buy them. And side by side, EVOO & Avocado Oil per tbsp are the same calories, fat, saturated, and monosaturated fat levels.
The polysaturated fat of EVOO is 0.5g less than avocado, and the vitamin E level of EVOO is 10% higher. That's it. So EVOO isn't blowing avocado oil out of the water in health benefits. Both reduce LDL (bad) cholesterol and triglyceride levels.
But the big thing here; EVOO has an overpowered flavor that would probably ruin the flavor effect Magic Spoon is going for. Avocado Oil really has no bold, in your face flavor.
That said, I agree with most that the price is steep. And specialty foods that would make more things available to diabetics, celiacs dieses sufferers, etc. shouldn't be priced out of existence for some people.
Something else sunflower oil can do, is that in rare cases… If you have any existing food allergies… Sunflower oil can worsen them
Buying this cereal is like buying protein powder. If you want cereal then don’t waste the extra money. If your looking to hit a daily protein grams intake number and want an alternative to eat then it’s worth it.
Paused at 4:20 (lol, not intentionally) while the lucky charms does have vitamins, they are synthetic and are not as bioavailable except for the folic acid; folic acid (vs folate in natural form) is fully absorbed. This is not exactly good though, as too much folic acid can make someone not realize their body needs B12 (they kind of work together- in simple terms).
All this to say that the sugar cereal make a good source of vitamins for health, it’s an FDA requirement. The cereal free cereal is bullshit though and is a prime example of why I hate marketing in food. Too few people know enough about nutrition to understand that it’s BS to claim that crap as healthy, rather than just a different version of junk. If one likes it and wants to spend more money…ok, but it’s definitely no better than the store bought junk.
Magic Spoon's magic is brought to you by the power of GMO. Yes, Magic spoon is a frankenfood!
Not all oils are the same. The oils in these cereals isn't bad. Or as bad as it could be. I think your video is more opinion then fact.
I like to avoid sugars and I work nights at a gas station. Having these saves me from spending 100$ a month looking for something besides shitty gas station foods. Instead I spend barely 40$ and get something I can eat one or two bowls of and feel full alongside something with meat that I can get for free. My stomach will never be the same again but it works for me. Thanks for filling me in on what's actually in the stuff I'm wating tho. Good video
What do you mean by your stomach will never be the same again?
milk protein with tons of sweeteners dipped in milk... yeah, if i want diarrhea for 10 bucks i'd rather go to taco bell
Take away LUCKY CHARMS IS JUST AS HEALTHY AS MAGIC SPOON FOR DIFFERENT REASONS!!!!
Moderation is a crazy thing.
Really rough aftertaste that you'd want to wash down?🤣🤣
Its the same with all the milk alternatives. Its just some cheap chemical ingredients and then sell it for a higher price.
I suspect those cereal are not just for breakfast. I have a feeling that there are people who eat cereal dry or eat it with milk at night. they won't admit it but do it anyway.
That's...actually a fair marketing angle. If they chop the price down from 10$ to maybe 6 or 7, and have it be the late night movie watcher's snack, that could make it a better offer
Also something I noticed from watching a different video about Magic Spoon is there is a label on the boxes of it using "bio engineered food product", so that is another strike on why would even health nuts buy this.
they say "part of a balanced breakfast" to get past the point that they're essentially selling dessert for breakfast
It is interesting though. I haven't had cereals for breakfast since I was a kid (and we just got corn flakes). Being Norwegian, we tend to go with a few pieces of bread with some spreading on top for our everyday breakfast, and perhaps eggs and bacon for them special occasions.
There is a small subset of people that would have any use for it. The cereal craving Keto crowd and the folks with Gluten intolerance... For everybody else, regular cereal is probably neat-o. The aforementioned Keto crowd would probably also vehemently disagree with you on the unhealthiness of those fats.
I am going to the store later today. I might for the first time in my adult life buy a box of cereals...

This is clearly a specialty cereal for folks who cannot eat carbs or have added sugar in their diet. If you're just a regular degular person who can eat cereal without any ill health effects eat your regular cereal. But the reality for a lot of people, especially as they get older is that their metabolisms change and their bodies don't process sugar as efficiently as it did when they were younger. The older you got the less sugar you need to eat generally. This is why this is marketed as cereal for adults. It's a specialty food item so it's going to be priced higher than common mass-produced foods. I'm just trying to find the scam here. This product presents exactly as advertised.
The rant with the music at the end sent me! LOL

Raisin Bran is actually the top 5 worst cereals
I tried it with coconut milk & oatmeal milk. Some of the cereals definitely has a weird taste. (I can't have regular cow's milk because I'm allergic to it). I do like the cereal bowl with the spoon tho.
Im just convinced they're as bad as normal cereal

Eating the recommended serving size of Magic spoon is an achievement.
So even if they have the same amount of calories per serving/volume
Magic spoon makes you not want to eat food after about three spoonfuls
I think what would have helped in your video is if you showed the bag the cereal itself came in.
I saw an ad for this before searching up on this cereal and it shows a woman pulling out the bag from the cereal box. Only about half the bag containes cereal! And at most looked like there was maybe two bowls worth of cereal.

Sunflower oil and avocado oil are not bad oils, still very expensive.
They’re far worse than olive oil. So they aren’t exactly good.
I agree, olive oil is better overall but still they are healthier than canola oil usedin lucky charms cereal
Apart from taste they are amazing. You don't eat cereal for the vitamins. They are great for glutent intolerant people, diabetics, body builders, people who lift. Over 70% of people are not eating enough protein when taking into a count the amount that can be digested. There for cutting out cards and replacing them with protein is one of the best things you can do.
All cereal is unhealthy but if don't want the mental fog that comes with carbs these are great. Although it's still a pass gor me, since they cost way too much.
Magic spoon tastes like happiness, shame it is so expensive, but yeah deffo appreciate the no sugar, i don't have the sugar crash id normally have from usual cereal.
I'm also appalled they made it everything-free except dairy
Whats funny is that lucky charms are fortified with vitamins and minerals because kids will eat it. They could easily add that too the "healthy" stuff

He skipped over the sugar part. Those of us who purchase Magic are in it for the old school taste and the LACK OF NET SUGARS. Its as simple as that. Of course its expensive. But I'm willing to pay $10 to have a LOWER sugar version of my favorite cereals.
No, eat something besides fake sugar. If you can’t have real sugar, don’t eat sweets. Artificial sweeteners are not good.
And provide a reach around 🤣🤣 was not expecting that
Yeah 10 bucks a box is rough, I’m sure the only way they’re selling it is the healthy misinformation they are selling.
how are they selling misinformation? they make it clear what the product is

Hey! I think we have that same dish set! Squarish bowls with a black stripe, square plates in 2 sizes with rounded corners abs a red/black design on them, and matching white, red, black mugs?
Nope
Avocado fat is the one of the best fats you can have.
Olive oil is literally healthier than avocado oil- and it’s not generally viewed as “healthy”.
Ya some oatmeal, an orange, and an egg, washed down with a glass of milk and you have a healthy breakfast, with all the protein and vitamins and fiber you need.
I appreciate your honesty. 👍🏻 $10 is very expensive plus you can ONLY get it in a pack of 4 so you are spending $40. I would like to try the cookie & cream, maple waffle thou.
If you subscribe you get 4 for $29 fact is this cereal is better than regular cereal
So it's oily cereal that will probably give you the runs?
Toilet Paper Companies must love it.
Dang ittttt 😭😭😭 on the first vid I watched on this series, I said if it’s good, I’m gonna binge the rest. I didn’t know the binge would be over so quickly 🥺 this one is my fave and I’m already almost through them all 😔💔 pleaseeee do moreeee UA-cam spon. ex. vidsssss. They’re so good lolol I’m obsessed and need more 🤣 dropped a like on all and will def be subscribing/checking out your music!!!
10 bucks they are kidding who buys this chemical cocktail?
I support what Magic Spoon is doing. Yes, it's expensive, but so is anything nowadays that's made with high quality ingredients. Take Chipotle for example with the high quality meats they use, and compare the price of Chipotle with something like Taco Bell. Taco Bell's food is cheap for a reason, because it's unhealthy garbage made with cheap, unhealthy ingredients. Same goes for sugary cereals which are much cheaper than Magic Spoon. But if you do your research on sweeteners, you will find that Allulose and Monk Fruit are 2 of the healthiest sweeteners you can consume. There are other factors such as healthy fats / oils vs unhealthy fats / oils. Avocado oil is one of the healthiest fats you can consume. Do your research before criticizing a product so harshly. Magic Spoon is doing something special. If more people cared enough about their health to educate themselves on nutrition, then we wouldn't see videos like this.
These are 10 times as expensive as normal cereal here, nice
Watching UA-camrs eating cereal on screen is just cringy.
I still see Simon slamming his spoon into his bowl after eating Magic Spoon.
“ equally healthy” kek
I was thinking a lot about this stuff but the whole thing sounds expensive, this video made me sure about it.
1:20, That phrase was too long for me to handle. Error 404.
Magic Spoon smells AWFUL and taste even worse! I almost puked from the fruity flavor. It’s worse than dog food!!!!
Yeah it’s disgusting. I tried the fruity one and tasted ok but the after taste is definitely horrible. Not buying this cereal ever again
Then 1 box should be $ 4.75 instead of $10
I'll just stick to my bags of generic cereals for my breakfast goodness
