Honestly? Now that the dust is settling I’ve been having more fun than I was before. All the randoms I’ve been playing with today have been super chill, super happy, and just … yeah. It feels like everyone is united and I think the reason we’re addicted to it is that HUMANS CRAVE UNITY. We want to have a reason to band together. That’s why our society is so cliquish. All about what category you fit into, so you can find your “team” and support it. Helldivers makes us all nothing more than humans up against a common foe with no personal identities taken into consideration. Sony did the same.
Helldivers 2 is addictive because the game respects the players. Our time, our enjoyment, and our money. It's not hiding half the game behind paywalls (you can earn the currency pretty easily in game). It's not artificially bloating the game by setting content behind time locks.
My main problem with Lethal Company is there is no matchmaking system. I only got to play it a handful of times because my friends are always busy. Helldivers is a game I can enjoy on my own as well as with friends
That was the most convoluted way of saying: "Working together for Big Boom is fun!" 😉 Nah, actually a pretty good summary of the reward-triggers in this games design.
For me I’m not usually too into multiplayer matches if there is a campaign I only do that. Just like Pokémon I play through it once and never again. Helldivers due to a lack of main story can just keep going you can just log in now and it would be relevant.
The first game was just as amazing to me when it came out. Kind of disappointed it wasn't top down again lol. I hope they can make another top-down version as well😊
Well said and great video! I truly wish more companies took helldivers approach to micro transactions. I game shared mw3 with my buddy about 3 months after it came out, i had 1000 cod points still on my account from original warzone so i figured sure ill buy the season pass. Then they start trying to get me to purchase this skin for $30 another for $20 a 'huge discount' bundle for $40...... Long story short i saw those prices and never dropped a dime on that game......why would i pay for overpriced cosmetic garbage when the game is literally just regurgitated crud from the past 3 years! But helldivers? 10 bucks per warbond and i get weapons, armor, cosmetics, emotes, more weapons, things that go boom or bzzzzt, a booster, more weapons, more cosmetics???!!! Fuck yeah! Ill gladly pay $10 for that! Thats value for your money, not the bullshit cod and others try shoving down our throats
This morning I quick matched onto a bug planet and said “ so uh, fuck sony amiright?” And got a few LMAO’s apart from that the game hasn’t changed. I saw a few people in the discord claiming they were gonna attempt to grief lobbies but I never saw anything like that.
Is Helldivers 2 still hitting the same after the Sony-pocalypse?

I had a friend of mine tell me the game is dead in the water because it went from 400k to 150k. Im not sure where he got those numbers from.

This game has the most tight-knit community that I have ever seen, in such genre.
For me it brought back online gaming in my life. Also the community ps5 and pc are great, hope xbox users will join us soon.
I would buy it again on xbox if I had to.
